Jeremy Steele (Lie)
Role: Second in Command
Name: Jeremy "Jerr" Nicholas Steele
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay (Extremely far in the closet with no plans on coming out soon)
Appearance: FC - Grant Gustin
Personality: Jeremy has issues mostly with trust. He used to be a cheerful and outgoing kid but now he's very detached from people. He can act cold and distant to those that he doesn't know and he may seem blunt or rude but he really doesn't mean to be. That's just how he is since he works with technology rather than humans. Around those he does trust he opens up a bit. Though, he's still pretty reserved especially when it comes to his past experiences. The times he smiles and laughs is pretty rare plus the only people that can really make him smile and laugh are Sam and Jenna so cherish those moments. Like I mentioned before Jeremy works with Technology for the most part so he is pretty socially awkward around new people and those he doesn't really know. If he knows you pretty well then he doesn't seem awkward unless you count when he talks to Sam. He's developed strong feelings for him from his time with P.E.C. He knows his feelings will never be reciprocated so he doesn't act on them but he can get pretty flustered when he talks to Sam sometimes. Which can be difficult because he talks to Sam the most out of any other person. Despite his distant personality he is actually very protective of those he knows. He's very protective of his sister, Jenna.
Backstory: He grew up with a pretty normal childhood. He was a happy go lucky kid and always did good in school. Though he always felt a little different from everyone else. In highschool everyone would always talk about their crushes. His friends always talked about girls but he found himself liking boys instead. He always thought there was something wrong with him so he kept it a secret. Though one day he asked his parents if liking boys was ok. Let's just say things didn't end well. His parents were well known and had a reputation to uphold so the fact that their son was gay made them furious. His dad beat him on a regular basis and told him that he needed to act normal. At one point they made him go to a therapist so that he could be "fixed". Their methods weren't humane at all and he was extremely traumatized, so much so that he refuses to tell anyone else that he's gay. He's afraid that if he does more bad things will happen. Throughout his highschool career his grades started slipping which made his parents' wrath even worse. He became very depressed and made some questionable choices that he regrets now. He spent a few weeks in the hospital before he went back to school. He always wore long sleeves after he came back. Things weren't great but they were better than before. He always excelled in technology so when he graduated he went to a tech school. P.E.C. quickly recognized his potential and recruited him. He's been working for them for a few years now. He doesn't know exactly what goes on in the facility but he does know that he doesn't approve. He's discovered the company's dark side over the years. The reason he has trust issues is because the people he was supposed to be able to trust the most, his parents, tortured and berated him over his sexuality. Though things did change when he met Sam. He's happier when he's around him and that's a big step for him. His feelings for him is also one of the reasons he's stayed with P.E.C. so long.
Strengths: He has a good judge of character so he usually knows who he can and can't trust, he's not afraid to protect or fight for those he cares about, and his knowledge of technology.
Weaknesses: His inability to trust others easily, his past trauma (looking at his scars), he can be a bit too protective which can put himself in danger, and his social awkwardness
