Personality: Colin is somewhat of an extrovert.  He doesn't mind meeting new people and getting to know them but he has a hard time truly trusting anyone.  He may seem like he's not closed off but you won't really learn anything about him until he knows he can trust you.  Other than that he's a pretty nice guy.  He is naturally outgoing and is pretty open-minded in general.  He loves meeting new people and learning new things.  However despite him being friendly and outgoing he is far from naïve.  Because of Colin's major trust issues he tends to pick out things from people's body language that most would over look.  It helps him figure out how a person is feeling or if they're trying to trick him at all.  Also because of his trust issues, he doesn't have any close friends but if someone were to get close enough to him he'd protect them with his life.  As a child he used to have anger issues but since then he's learned to control his temper.  However, if anyone he cared about ever got hurt he may lose his temper and hurt someone else while trying to protect that person.

Scars: He has multiple minor scars but there are two that stick out over the rest.  He has a bullet wound scar on the left side of his chest, near his heart, and claw marks on the outside of his left forearm that wrap around the inside of his forearm.

Backstory: Colin was born to a rogue couple.  They didn't really have a pack which was one of their biggest problems.  As a way to sort of brand Colin his dad gave him a deep scratch when he was around five.  They managed to live peacefully on their own until Colin was around twelve.  Not only did his parents have to worry about his their safety but also his baby brother's.  Colin never realized that his parents weren't the best people until after he lost them.  At the age of twelve (his brother would have been nine) Colin's parents were attacked by a group of hunters.  The attack had happened at night which gave the hunters an element of surprise.  Colin ended up surviving and escaping them but lost his parents and his brother in the process.  He had tried to save his brother which ended with him receiving a serious injury.  Since his family had lived out in the middle of the woods the only thing Colin could think was that he needed to get as far away as possible.  He made it pretty far before he couldn't physically go on any longer.  That's when he was found by an older vampire.  The vampire had actually been somewhat familiar with Colin's parents and decided to help him by taking him in.  He basically saved Colin's life and helped raise him into the person he is today.  The vampire, Stewart, taught him about the supernatural world and made him realize what monsters his parents really were.  Stewart sent him to Nightshade Academy so that he could hopefully learn more than he could ever hope to teach him and so that he could meet kids his own age.

Other: During the attack on his family the hunters used guns and other kinds of weapons.  Because of this loud noises (gunshots) and bright flashes of light (Sparks from the guns being fired) can trigger his PTSD.  When he's having an episode he could seriously hurt himself or anyone around him which is what he's afraid of.
