When Jasmine was young she had a close relationship with her older sister, Ashley. They were both tested one and gained powers from the testing. Jasmine had the become incredibly flexible and could create energy blast as well as force fields/ shields. Both their parents had died months before in a care crash leaving the two sister orphaned. Ashley had gone to school with Tadashi and the others while Jasmine lived live bot fighting and getting in trouble but was always winning money.

Although the day Tadashi died was the day Ashley changed for the worst. Her and Tadashi had just started dating back then too so when he died it broke her. When she found out who was responsible she wanted revenge and was not letting anything stand in her way. However she was stopped by Big Hero 6 and was put in jail leaving her little sister; Jasmine alone in the world orphaned. 

After that day Jasmine wanted revenge on Big Hero 6 for taking her only remaining family away from her. She was going to destroy them one way or another. She was going to take everything from them starting with their popularity has heroes. They better watch out a new hero was in town now and she was not backing down with out a fight. But what she doesn't know was that the love of her life was responsible for her sister being sent to prison and her being alone and depressed.
