Nathaniel was created as one of the earlier demons in Hell by Samuel and had always been a higher up. He always enjoyed making deals with human when their existence came into the realm of knowledge for demons. He had a fair relation with one of the Westburys, being told that if that Westbury was no longer the right-hand of Lust that he would get to be the right-hand. However, that wasn't that case. Lust chose another Westbury as a right-hand out of purely selfish reasons, leaving Nathaniel in the position he had always been on. He was never too happy with that, but continued to work productively and hoped that he would get to be the right-hand one day.
