Cygrus grew up in a wealthy family and is to inherit her father's advertising company called "Cygnus." Her parents had decided to name her after their company, as the logo was a black swan and "Cygnus" is the swan constellation. A typo made her name Cygrus, however, thus her parents went on calling her that. She was also a teenage pregnancy, her mother having her at sixteen.

Her childhood was fairly normal, apart from the fact she grew up in a mansion with many workers about. She was never spoiled, however. Cygrus always had to work for what she wanted when she wanted it. Her mother also made things more difficult, since she's resentful of Cygrus being born when she was sixteen. Furthermore, she spent a large quantity of her time studying, therefore making her extremely smart.
