Isa's default emotion is one of being stressed and irritable.

While not necessarily volatile, Isa's temper does peak a couple times. When it does so, it usually leads to many brash insults and a great deal of shouting. Though usually her afterward of being cold and intimidating is something to fear more.

Being a rebel, one would immediately assume Isa to not be disciplined. Though ironically enough, her stern and commanding manner all follows along a certain monitoring of rules. When she says she'll do something, she does it. And when she makes threats, they're followed through.

As a young woman who has been training since the age of twelve, it is safe to say her physical abilities are generally more than capable. Isa is an expert fighter and strategist, primarily in her abilities to hastily create plans. Her cognitive abilities are also reasonably advanced.

Isa despises feeling helpless, her inability to become dependent is quite evident in her actions. In addition, Isa has a strong tendency  to launch insults as opposed to diplomatic means of discussion.

As the last decade of Isa's life could easily be summed up as hectic, her desire is to have a content and peaceful life.

Isa certainly isn't open about her fears. Though after several traumatic experiences, she is afraid of her friends and family being killed or otherwise tortured.

A rarity in her life, Isa takes great enjoyment in sleeping. She enjoys running and sparring for its relaxing effect that helps her unwind. And when Isa declares she warrants time to read. Otherwise, Isa enjoys sweet treats such as lemon tarts to be accompanied by strong coffee.

Immediately Isa has a prejudice to anyone who is a loyalist for the government. Along with naive and idealistic people who follow with cliches and optimism. On a more subtle note, Isa despises the scent of lavender.

Willow and Mark were a young couple, eager to settle down with marriage. Initially came a daughter Maria, and then Isa a few years later. Unfortunately, Mark was drafted into the military and died hardly a year after Isa was born.
Being raised in a single parent household proved to be quite trying for Isa. Constantly her sister Maria would come home weeping from school due to demeaning comments. In addition, money proved to be quite limited in their household. The reimbursement the government had promised Isa's mother never came. Though the bitterness was ever present, concern didn't start to arise until guards began to take an interest in her mother and sister.
Maria was easily one of the most beautiful girls in her high school. And the guards who patrolled about Ottaro frequently made lewd comments. Because of this, Isa began to sharpen her witty comments and build her physical strength.

Being the age of thirteen didn't necessarily provide a great amount of intimidation. Tension was building between the Hoffman family and the guards of her city. Isa had taken upon a job as a nurses assistant at the local hospital. While the income was pennies, she desperately desired to assist her mother.
The bubble finally burst when Isa returned home to see her mother and sister being sexually assaulted by guards. Her strength was paltry, but she managed to put up a fight against the five men. Though in the commotion, a flame was started. And with that, Maria, Willow and Isa all escaped.
Isa went to the council with desperate pleas of corruption and indecency. All of them went unheard however. How could a jury believe a fourteen year old girl making claims where the victims wouldn't testify against the five supposedly guilty guards. No, instead Maria and Willow arranged to flee to the South Americas.
After a year of fighting, Isa was exasperated at the indecency of her government. Her mother and sister hadn't replied to her letters for around a week. Until it was discovered that her mother and sister had committed suicide.
The next few weeks for Isa left her as an emotional mess. She was angry and distraught with no place to go. Her uncle came and suggested Isa to join the rebellion. It was a perfect time to recruit the girl particularly given her hate for the government and state of social isolation. Eagerly, Isa joined.
Her first few years as a rebel were filled with exhaustion and disrespect. Though with her uncle's guidance, Isa steadily began to rise in the ranks. By the time she was 18, she already had achieved the rank of an E-6. Though it was clear that her rebel career had a lot more potential.
Being an O-5, Isa's uncle had a great deal of power and managed to arrange for Isa to lead a base. After a few months of "trial" to see if she was a suitable leader, Isa didn't disappoint. And ever since, she has been leading Hoffman base.
