Carter is generally a happy and upbeat sort of person. He has an optimistic and extroverted sort of mind, wanting to get to know and help as many people as possible. In addition, he is relatively charismatic, not in a flirtatious sense, but desiring to appeal to those around him.

Temper, no, Carter utilizes his smol bean power to minimize his temper. If anything, when he is angry he tends to internalize it in hopes to prevent unintentionally offending or harming those close to him. Or other people in general.

Carter wouldn't really say he is terribly disciplined. His self-discipline is golden, a routine having developed that not even steel could break. In addition, he listens and does as he's told. Though Carter is more of a freelancing spirit in general, not becoming too confined unless it's by his own mindset.

There is no doubt that one of Carter's biggest strengths is his appeal to people. He volunteers often, has an astounding reputation and will always put his best effort to assist someone. Not to mention, his optimistic attitude will generally have Carter willing to try new things often.

Carter is relatively gullible, he wants to assist people but doesn't always go about it in an appropriate way. Which, if he is unsuccessful, it turns into a toxic state of self-deprecation. That tends to result in a great deal of expectations, and a fear of failing.

At 22 years in age, Carter has very simple wants. Primarily in being able to help others. He would like to have a family, a wife or children to dote on, but he doesn't want that to limit his ability to assist outside of his personal circle.

Carter loathes the feeling of being insufficient. When one puts their best foot forward in everything, it leaves a lot of opportunities to simply not be enough. Which is one of his biggest fears.

There's a reason Carter volunteers so much and a great portion of it is because of the self-satisfaction he receives afterwards. Though he hasn't played since college, he still enjoys listening to the trumpet or instrumental pieces. Carter also happens to have a terrible fondness of mint, even taking handfuls of the green peppermints that are complimentary at restaurants.

Unless it's the meal prepared by a host, Carter absolutely will not eat squash. He also happens to hold a major disliking for gruyere, brie or blue cheese. In the fall when leaves start to to descend too, Carter begins to hate the time of year.

A happy person must have a happy childhood, right? Nope, you're wrong. Though he was born into a happy family, with a sister older by two years, there were many unseen issues plaguing Carter's father. In fact, one day when his mother and sister went to the town to run some sort of errand, Samuel Johansson committed suicide. Though being merely three years old at the time, Carter was oblivious to the fact that his father was bleeding out on the ground beside him, being sapped of all life. He simply took to wailing on the ground.
Of course, the suicide was rather traumatic to everyone in the family. But Carter didn't really know much of anything of his father, having no memory of the man. Though depressive behaviors began to arise in his Mom, and he was concerned that perhaps he could lose another parent. Which was why when Carter was around the age of eight, he began to familiarize himself with the counselors, asking for advice, pamphlets or other means to try to make those in his life happy.

Carter's mild obsession with doing as much as possible to make others happy continued to spiral in his teenage years. Oftentimes he wouldn't come home until late evening as he had been volunteering, or skipped school events to pick up another shift at the animal shelter. Carter was praised by his family, friends and teachers for being such a role model in the community, to which he enjoyed. But it was never really the focal point of his life. When Carter was 16, he began volunteering at an oncology center to make cancer patients as comfortable as possible during chemotherapy. Which is where he began to take an interest in the subject, deciding to focus in on biology. As high-school came to a close, he didn't have the best GPA, but it was still remarkably high. Carter ended up going to a college, majoring in biology, of a relatively high ranking and continued on to be a researcher in oncology. Of course, with half a dozen volunteer jobs still.
