The drift and the Circle of Chaos

It had been a peaceful morning in Alexandria. The residents were going about their routines, getting ready for the day. The group, having dealt with plenty of challenges in the past, were in the middle of their usual duties—checking the perimeter, gathering supplies, and talking strategy. It was a calm, if not somewhat predictable, day. That is, until the sound of an engine echoed down the street, and once again, Alexandria was on the verge of chaos.

The unmistakable roar of an engine reached the group’s ears, and their heads immediately snapped toward the source of the noise. A familiar sound—this time not the throaty growl of Jihyo’s McLaren, nor the thundering noise of her H2R. No, this time it was different. The engine was higher-pitched, more nimble, and it screeched with anticipation.

Rick squinted his eyes. "Not again," he muttered under his breath, already anticipating what was about to unfold.

Within seconds, the sound grew louder, and Jihyo’s sleek Nissan 240SX came into view. But this time, it wasn’t like the others. This wasn’t her usual smooth ride down the street, hoping they’d step aside. No, this time Jihyo had something different in mind. The moment she saw the group standing in her way, she grinned.

Without a word, Jihyo slammed her foot onto the accelerator.

The Nissan revved up as the tires screamed against the pavement, sending a cloud of dust into the air. Before anyone could react, she was already spinning the car into a perfect drift. The back of the 240SX swung out as she executed a smooth 180-degree turn, then another, and another, creating a controlled circle around the group.

"She’s doing it again!" Daryl shouted in disbelief.

The group quickly scrambled, trying to step aside to avoid getting run over by Jihyo's incredible maneuvering. But no one had the chance to get far. Jihyo was in full control now. The car’s rear tires screeched as the car drifted in a perfect circle around them, her skill and precision keeping everyone trapped in the path of the spinning machine.

She flashed a devilish grin, a gleam of mischief in her eyes as the group—now completely encircled by her—could only watch in stunned silence.

“What the hell is she doing now?” Michonne muttered, sidestepping just narrowly as Jihyo drifted even closer to the group.

Rick was frozen, unsure whether to stop her or just let her have her fun. They all knew she had a penchant for showing off, but this time, she had taken it to a whole new level. Daryl, as usual, was having none of it, trying to stay in position, but every time he took a step, Jihyo seemed to anticipate it, swinging the car right into his path.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of circles, Jihyo brought the Nissan to a sudden stop in the middle of the ring she’d created. The tires screeched as they locked, and Jihyo lowered the window. She leaned her head out, eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Was that fun for you guys?" she asked, her tone teasing as she surveyed the group, still stunned in the aftermath of her perfect drift.

The group remained silent for a moment, exchanging looks of disbelief. Daryl was the first to speak up, though his voice was less than pleased. “I’m gonna strangle her one of these days,” he grumbled under his breath, his eyes narrowing at the grinning Jihyo.

Rick simply shook his head, not sure whether to laugh or scold her. “Jihyo, you’ve got to stop doing this.”

“Oh, don’t be such a buzzkill, Rick,” Jihyo replied, still smirking. “I didn’t hit anyone, did I?”

“Barely,” Daryl muttered.

“Then we’re all good.” Jihyo winked, her playful attitude refusing to falter. She shifted the car into gear and spun it around, the tires squealing as she peeled out and sped toward the gates, her drift now complete.

The group watched her go, some still in shock, others shaking their heads in disbelief.

“You know, I really think we need to put some rules in place around here,” Rick muttered, rubbing his temples.

Daryl, still shaking his head, let out a long, resigned sigh. “I swear, she’s gonna get us all killed with her damn stunts.”

But even as the group groused about her antics, they couldn’t deny one thing. Jihyo had once again left them in awe of her skills. Even though they never knew what she would do next, they had to admit it: when it came to driving, no one in the group could hold a candle to her.

The group could only hope the next time Jihyo decided to show off, it wasn’t at the expense of their sanity—or their lives. But one thing was for sure: with Jihyo, life would never be boring.
