Eviana's Diary

Turns out that only a few hours have passed since we were gone and, because we helped to find and save Jimin, the boys have expressed their gratitude by awarding us free tickets to their Denver concert (refunding the tickets we paid for too!). Not only that, but we get an invite into their private world as 'friends.'

The crowd is sold out in Denver for the concert. As it should be, Taskers take J'TASK concerts seriously.

The noise is indescribable as I smile and throw my hands into the air to join in. Jaydrian chuckles and tries to get me to settle down.

It's time for another concert! Jimin didn't think that this one would even happen. The whole turmoil in the fantasy world had almost put a damper on things. But, yet, here he is, standing before a sold out crowd.

Jimin, showing off his freshly dyed, wavy platinum-blond hair, listens to the cheers, taking nothing for granted.  He'd opted not to put in contacts this time, leaving his eyes the natural brown color. His eyes settle on the special seats that they'd reserved for their new 'friends,' Eviana Huntington and Jaydrian Herondale. He tosses them a wave.

The crowd settles down after the introduction video and cool stage setting, where the boys walk out of the mouth of a star prop. They stop in the center, front edge of the stage as the opening instrumentals cut off dramatically.

Astro has on a dapper orange suit jacket over an all-white outfit that consists of a white dress shirt, white pants and white shoes. Suga has on a similar outfit, but he is wearing a black suit jacket over the all-white. JT has on a light blue jacket over his all-white look, while Kookie has on a light green suit jacket and Jimin has on a light lavender purple suit jacket. Handsome, is one word to describe them all. 

JT, with a natural wavy brown hair style with a white bandana exposing his forehead, motions with his hands, enjoying the boisterous sounds. Then he stares down the roaring audience with a dramatic pause. After a few seconds, he lifts his hand up to his mouth and blows a kiss with his first two fingers.

"INTERNATIONAL PRETTY BOY!!" a chorus of girls scream at the signature gesture.

"Hey, Denver!!!" JT calls out, speaking into his signature sapphire blue mic. "How are we doing tonight?"

The crowd, including Jaydrian and Eviana, get even louder with their cheering. Someone shouts out, "JT'S SO HOT! MARRY ME!" and another cries out, "JT, I LOVE YOU!" JT chuckles, taking in the electric crowd.

"Oh, I think you all can do better. I'm sure this High Altitude is normal for you guys, so I want you to shout to the Heavens above! I said, HOW ARE WE DOING OUT THERE, DENVER?!" JT turns his mic toward the crowd and puts one hand up to his ear to listen as the audience roars with noise.

"There we go!" Jimin shouts out, clapping his hands. "I think that's pretty loud, TaeTae! My ears are ringing!"

JT nods in agreement and turns his mic back around. "Hello, Denver, I'm Jung Taehyung or JT. We got quite a crowd tonight, wouldn't you say boys?" He spins to look at Kookie, Astro, Jimin and Suga.

Suga, who is standing next to the oldest J'TASK member, nods his head. He's got a unique long and wispy mint-green dye job to his hair. He lifts up his red mic and says, "Large crowds make more noise and allow us to give better concerts, Hyung." He turns to the crowd and looks around the giant gathering of people. "I'm Min Soojin and I still don't understand why we have to do these stupid introductions. Like you guys don't know who I am, especially the young lady there with a shirt that has my face on it."

The lady, a few rows away from the stage, screams and fans herself.

Suga, his eyes lightened by contacts to an amber color (similar to JT's), shoots her a wink. "Suga loves his fans, especially ones from DENVER!"

The crowd ignites in noise again, cheering on the word 'Denver.'

Suga purses his lips together and nods, before he slowly turns to face the person next to him, who is Kim Maknae. He mouths "Astro" to him.

Astro, displaying pitch black hair, lifts up his golden-orange mic to his mouth and, with a dramatic pause, stares down the audience like JT had as they roar with cheers and screams. Then he howls out, "GET LOUD, DENNNNNNVERRRRR!"

"My name's Kim Maknae or Astro," Astro greets, after the noise from the audience fades down again.

Next to him, stands the youngest of the group, who smiles sweetly as he throws up his emerald green mic. "Hi Denver, I'm Jeon Seok-guk!" He does an aegyo motion, pointing his index fingers to his cheeks where his dimples are and swaying his hips to one side. He also makes a soft, cute noise with the gesture.

He, along with Astro are the most natural looking out of the group's member, with their hair and eyes unchanged by dye or contacts. 

"KOOKIE!!" a bunch of girls scream out. "CUTEST MAKNAE IN THE WORLD!"

The noise dies down again and Kookie smiles with a soft chuckling. He turns to look at the last person in the line.

Jimin lifts up his sparkling purple mic and holds it away from his face, wearing a sweet, warm smile on his face as the crowd cheers and chants his name. "Wow, you guys are loud. Do I even need to introduce myself?"

"Jimin-ah!!" Eviana shouts out.

Jimin's eyes land on her, and keeping them trained on hers, he says, "Actually, before we begin the concert, I'd like to just say a word of thanks to two important Taskers. Without their help, I might not be standing here before you all. From the bottom of my heart and gratitude, ありがとうございました. Thank you."

Jimin bows humbly and then snaps back up and shouts into his mic, "Alright, Denver, I'm Jimin Bakjin, are you ready for some fun?!"

The crowd cheers and the music begins as the five boys turn around. They share a look with one another and launch into their opening song, August Days. There's more noise from the gathered concert-goers as they recognize it.

Kookie spins around and begins with:

"The last of summer and the first of fall --

Lazy summer afternoons,

Walks along the beach,

Balmy evenings, cloudless skies,

Stars that are just out of reach."

JT spins around and sings:

"Sailing on a quiet lake,

Hammocks in the shade...

There are the simple treasures

Of which August days are made."

Jimin spins around and joins Kookie and JT, singing in unison with them:

"Together, we stand in August days.

The garden is bright with summer bloom,

And yet there creeps up that autumn haze.

You can look forward or look backwards

To a lovely summer you would recall,

But the changing of the season is coming --

The final days of summer, oh, those August days."

Astro spins around, getting into a nice, deep rap:

"Days that are long, hot and dry,

When the burning rays of the sun

Strike the ground below

I won't sit by and sigh

I lift up my hands to the sky

There are the simple treasures

Of which August days are made."

Jimin and JT work the stage, singing in unison:

"Together, we stand in August days.

The garden is bright with summer bloom,

And yet there creeps up that autumn haze.

You can look forward or look backwards

To a lovely summer you would recall,

But the changing of the season is coming --

The final days of summer, oh, those August days."

The crowd is really into it, singing along with them as all five boys launch into singing the chorus together:

"Together, we stand in August days.

The garden is bright with summer bloom,

And yet there creeps up that autumn haze.

You can look forward or look backwards

To a lovely summer you would recall,

But the changing of the season is coming --

The final days of summer, oh, those August days."

The song ends and transitions into the second song, which ignites another ripple of cheers from the audience.

Slow ballad-like instrumentals fill the air as phone lights go on and dance back and forth about the audience. Astro's suit jacket becomes a pure white one, while the others shed their various colored jackets for their various white dress shirts. 

Jimin clutches onto his purple microphone with both hands and closes his eyes as he taps into his warm and crisp upper tenor vocals.

"Lavender and cherry,

Beauty of the heart,

I can sense you walking by my side

In a world full of grief and pain,

Flowers bloom even then."

Kookie, showing his versatility, launches into a short rapped verse:

"Accomplishment in each blossom

You come by spring

Flutter your wings as if your branches were swaying."

Astro launches into a rap now:

"Spread your feathers

And give us a tranquil feeling

That makes us relish our surroundings

As your roots go deeper..."

Suga picks up the rap, with:

"Taste the sweet nectar

As you third for rain and sing your song

Like the wind between the petals

Darling, you're the beauty of a cherry blossom."

JT and Jimin cross paths on the stage, singing in unison:

"Sakura, my sweet,

Oh, Sakura, my love.

From heaven, you descend

Like the Sakura petals drop.

Blooming alone on the tree,

Waiting to fall down

I'm here for you, my Japanese Flower."

JT turns and sings, in a sultry high falsetto in the Japanese lyrics:

"春が来ました

花がどのように咲くかを見てください

美しいさくらのように。

小さいものから始める

しかし、あなたや私と同じように成長しています

時間が経つにつれて、私の日本の花。

(Spring time has come

Watch how the flowers bloom

Like the beautiful Sakura.

Starting out as small

JT, Jimin and Kookie sing the chorus together, their sweet upper registers joining in a delicious harmony:

"Sakura, my sweet,

Like the Sakura petals drop.

Blooming alone on the tree,

Waiting to fall down

I'm here for you, my Japanese Flower."

Astro and Suga join the three vocalists, singing in low baritone vocals:

From heaven, you descend

Like the Sakura petals drop.

Blooming alone on the tree,

Waiting to fall down

I'm here for you, my Japanese Flower."

The song ends on a nice harmonized note from each person and then the music slowly fades as the lights dim low. Darkness then floods the setting and a low rumble of drums echo around the stage.

It's the start of a small instrumental break before the final song of the evening!
