13) Comfort

TW- Same as the last 2 chapters

"Thank you," Ron said once Blaise took his robes off, leaving him in a t-shirt and his robe pants.

"Of course," Blaise said with a gentle smile as he looked at Ron with a fond gaze.

Ron didn't notice his gaze, he was too concentrated on his drawing.

"Do you consider us friends?" He asked after a few minutes of silent drawing.

"Yes I do, should I not?" Blaise answered with a raised eyebrow at Ron's random question.

"You should, I think you're my friend too, I was just double-checking first," Ron said before he got back to drawing.

After a few more minutes he finally put the cap on the marker in his hand and put it down on the bed with the others. He then looked at Blaise's entire arm and then looked at him.

"Okay, do you see all these butterflies?" Ron asked as he pointed to the green, blue, and red butterflies he had drawn in the empty space of his arm.

"Yes," Blaise answered with a nod, wondering where Ron was going with this.

"Well this green one represents Pansy, the blue one represents Draco and the red one represents me. So if you ever try to cut your arm again then you kill the butterflies. You don't want to kill Pansy, Draco, or me do you?" he asked as he looked Blaise in the eyes.

"No, I don't want to kill any of you," Blaise said with a small smile, finding Ron's analogy cute.

"And you don't want to hurt us either do you?" Ron asked as he looked back down at Blaise's now very colorful arm.

"Of course not, I care about you all too much for that." He answered as he too looked down at his arm, honestly impressed by Ron's artistic skill. The butterflies are very pretty or maybe he's just biased.

"Good, so that means you can't scratch at the mark either. You can if you have an itch but you can't if you're scratching at it as if you're going to be able to claw it off. Just because you aren't cutting yourself with something sharp doesn't make it any less self-harm okay?" Ron asked as his fingers traced over the butterflies for a bit before tracing the Dark Mark.

Blaise moved his arm away from Ron's reach when he went to touch the Dark Mark making Ron look at him confused.

"Don't touch that, you don't need to have your skin touch something so evil." He said making Ron even more confused.

"I was touching it earlier when I was coloring it and it's not evil anymore. It's just what muggles call a tattoo now with a snake and a skull, nothing more." Ron argued but he didn't reach out for his arm, instead, he kept his hands in his own lap, not wanting to make Blaise uncomfortable.

"The market touched the mark, not you. And even if you're right, it still came from an evil creature and that's enough for me." Blaise said as he reached for his robe again before Ron stopped him.

"So you had a shitty tattoo artist, that's fine, what matters more is how it looks now. I think it looks quite nice if I do say so myself." He said as he looked at the mark again.

He had colored the snake That      green with blue eyes and added red shading to the skull before adding light purple lines behind it as the background.

"It does look much better than it did before." Blaise agreed with a small smile before looking back up at Ron, "Thank you," He said making Ron smile back at him.

"You're welcome, I'll draw on you any time you'd like, free of charge because we're friends now." Ron joked with his silly grin making Blaise give him a proper grin back.

"Thank you, I appreciate that," He said before wrapping his arms around Ron's waist and pulling him into a hug.

Ron was startled by the sudden affection but didn't object to it, instead, he wrapped his arms around his back and leaned into the embrace. He had grown accustomed to random hugs thanks to his family.

"Are you okay?" He asked after a few seconds of the hug.

"Mhm," Blaise answered with a nod as his arms wrapped even tighter around Ron, keeping him in place and making sure he didn't leave the hug yet.

"Alright," Ron answered as he relaxed into the hug, realizing he was going to be here for a while.

After a few minutes of hugging, Blaise moved them to be laying down with Ron lying against his chest and their arms still wrapped tightly around each other.

"Are you okay with this position?" Blaise asked after he moved them and they got settled.

"Yeah, this is fine. I'm not crushing you am I?" Ron answered as he rest his head on Blaise's shoulder.

"No, you're not crushing me. Your weight is more like a weighted blanket then anything else." Blaise answered with a chuckle making his chest rumble against Ron's ear.

"Good, if I feel too heavy then just shove me off of you...but do it gently please." Ron said as he allowed himself to fully relax against Blaise, feeling surprisingly warm, safe, and comfortable in his embrace.

"I won't shove you and I promise you won't get to heavy for me, I've slept with both Draco and Pansy laying on top of me at once before. You weigh nothing compared to the two of them." He said with a smile at the memory.

"Alright," Ron said with a small nod before pausing, thinking for a moment and then asking a question, "Why are you three so comfortable around each other in a physical way if you don't mind me asking? I can tell you why Harry and I are after you or before you answer if you'd like."

"I don't mind, it's simple really. It's because none of our families were very good to us and they didn't give us the affection we were supposed to be given as kids. So because of that, we found comfort in each other. We give each other the affection our parents neglected to give us. It's nothing romantic, we tried that back in third year and that didn't work out. We learned within a week that we're all better off as just friends and so we stuck with that. We all love each other to death though, that's for sure. We're more like family to each other then our family by blood is." He answered, his tone calm and consistent making Ron struggle to stay focused on paying attention to what he was saying and not just allowing himself listen to the way he speaks.

"Harry and I are similar to that in a way, he and I never tried dating because we see each other like brothers but we're the same with the family affection. His family was horrible to him and didn't give him so much as a pat on the back. My family on the other hand, our main thing is giving hugs to people to show that we care about them. So because of that, we all do our best to give him a lot of affection so he can catch up from all the affection that he missed out on as a kid. I'm usually the one that gives him the most affection because we're the closest and have been best mates for so long now. So overall we're affectionate in a platonic way so he can have enough affection to make it through life." Ron rambled as Blaise's hand rubbed up and down his back in a soothing manner.

"That makes sense, I didn't think you two liked each other in a romantic sense." Blaise said with a thoughtful nod.

"Yeah definitely not, especially not after he had that thing with my sister, that would be horribly awakrd." Ron said with a soft laugh.

"I bet," Blaise said with a smile at the sound of Ron's laugh.

The two fell into a peaceful silence for a bit after that, just relaxing in each other's embrace with Blaise's hand gliding up and down Ron's back gently.

"Would it be horrible if I took a nap for a bit?" Ron asked, breaking the silence.

"No it wouldn't be, get some rest, I'll probably fall asleep too soon." Blaise answered before yawning as if his body was trying to prove that he was sleepy to Ron.

"Okay," Ron said with a small nod before he cuddled closer to Blaise's chest. He then closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Blaise smiled down at him and stayed awake for a few more minutes before falling asleep himself, figuring someone would come in and wake them for dinner later.
