Minghao and Junhui walked around their uni campus after their classes ended, the light breeze hitting their faces as they walked side by side... Alone, but together. Strange wasn't it? How in such short times you can get so emotionally connected to people...

They walked around in silence, both unknowing what to say. The silence remain unbroken as flower petals fell down from the cherry blossom trees above them, one landing on Minghao's hair.
Junhui smiled and picked it off Minghao's hair.
"That's so pretty..." Junhui breathed out.

But Minghao didn't hear what Junhui said.
"Hao?" Junhui furrowed his eyebrows, gently holding Minghao's wrists and facing towards him.
Minghao didn't notice the tear falling down his cheek and quickly looked at Junhui, wiping his eye.
"Y-yeah?" Minghao smiled, bringing his attention back to the present... instead of the past.

Junhui widened his eyes and gripped Minghao's wrists a little firmer.
He could tell so easily that smile was fake. Minghao never was one to show his emotions clearly but Junhui... He saw right through the fake smiles... The fake sayings of "I'm fine"...

"Hao... What happened?" Junhui gently asked.
Minghao shook his head.
"Nothing. Should we go back to the dorm-"
Junhui stared Minghao straight in the eye, still holding his wrists.
"Don't lie to me, Hao. You're bad at that."

"I-I'm bad at loads of things. Yeah, like everything. I mean..." Minghao sniffled, wiping another tear off his face.

Junhui wiped another tear off Minghao's face.
"Don't say that. Don't think less of yourself. Just because something happened before or you're thinking about someone at the moment, it's happened for a reason. Life feels like it's asking too much sometimes, yeah, I get it. But it'll be okay, hm?"

Minghao looked up, surprised at Junhui's words.
"W-well that's a change, you're not normally into deep stuff like that..."

Junhui gently lifted up Minghao's chin.
"Hao, don't change the subject. What happened love?"

Minghao bit his lip, trying to supress his tears.
"I'm sorry.. someone I used to know." Minghao bitterly laughed, tears streaming down his face.
"That jerk... Just someone I used to know. He used to love catching flower petals and leaves with me... They'd always land on my hair and he'd pick them off, laughing and..."

Junhui felt something strike in his heart, like a pain you couldn't see, when Minghao broke down in tears.
He hugged Minghao tightly, enveloping him in his embrace...

It's actually inspired by someone I used to know. We used to loveeee catching leaves from the trees in that area I used to stay at , we used to always do that... ♡
