I waited until the princess was asleep in the make shift room she had before I walked back into what use to be the throne room of the hidden palace. Lea still siting where she has been since we got here.

"whats going on Lea? Why could he posses you from that far. He had no idea where we were. He shouldn't have been able to do that. So, what are you hiding?"

"I wish I could tell you, Max. I really do. But I can't give you an answer. He came to me the night the princess saved him, and asked me to keep an eye on her and protect her for him. He seemed really sweet and like he genuinely cared. So I didn't think anything of it. But then he'd start to control my body and watch over the princess but I was to scared to say anything."

"so you just let him stalk the princess?! Lea he could have killed her!"

"I know. I'm sorry. I should be killed for my treachery. I betrayed the princess's trust!"

"As much as I agree right now the princess would never agree. But we should do something about your eyes. if he posses you again he could easily remove anything we put over your eyes."

max grabbed the dagger out of his belt pocket. "This is going to hurt. But it'll keep the princess alive."

With that, I used the dagger to slice over both her eyes. She didn't scream or fight like I was expecting. She sat there and took it, only shedding a few silent tears.

"Thank you, Max. You prove time and time again how much you actually love our princess."

I sighed and cleaned the fresh wounds before bandaging them. Lea was right. I loved Amori. And I would do anything for her. Proven by the fact that I just blinded one of my only friends just to keep her safe. Gods, I'm starting to act like Percy.

Speaking of Percy, I need to figure out how his magic works. Lea said the only interaction she'd had with him was him asking her to watch the princess. Maybe all you had to do was talk to him. But that doesn't make since because he'd talked to the princess. if that's how it worked than he could just mind control her into coming back to him. so what was it. what was he doing...
