"CHARLIE WHAT DID YOU DO!?!" 9 year old Raven screamed

11 year old Charlie put his bloody hands on his knees trying to breathe

"Charlie!" Raven pulled Charlie up off the ground with all her strength falling to the ground

"Stop Raven it's dead" Raven was crying trying to help the bloody dog

"What did you do Charlie?"

"It's dead Raven please stop-"

"did you do this?" Charlie shook his head looking down at his little sister

"It got hit Raven I wouldn't do thi-"

"okay" she removed her hands from the dead dog in the street she looked up at him with tears in her eyes

"Come here boy!"

Charlie jumped tensing up

"I said come here boy!"

"Don't go Charlie he's going to hurt you again" Raven begged

before Charlie could turn around his body got smacked to the ground

"Charlie!" Raven fell to her knees in front of her older brother

"go in the house Raven" their father stood over Charlie

"no! not again!" Thomas grabbed Raven by her hair and she yelped

"Let her go!" Charlie weakly stood up

Thomas laughed letting Raven go

she quickly ran into the house

It was like the neighbors didn't care what was going on with Charlie and his family

Charlie never felt so hopeless...his father treated him like a punching bag and their mother would just watch

Charlie looked down at the dead dog

"look at me boy" Charlie slowly looked up

Thomas grabbed Charlie hair pulling it making him wince

"Charlie"

He hesitated to open the basement door

"I thought your dad ran a company-"

"I took over the company " Amara backed up

"Amara come on let's go meet my dad" He forced a smile opening the basement door

Amara backed up more but Charlie grabbed her wrist pulling her down into the dark basement

She gagged once they reached the last step

"oh gosh" she held her nose trying to hold the vomit down

"Ch-Charlie" someone weakly called out

Charlie dragged Amara further into the basement

A grey haired skinny sick old man sat on the floor with dirt spots on his face

"Father" Charlie coldly responded

Amara eyes widen she tried to break away from Charlie but he held on

"Am I getting a meal today?" Thomas asked with his eyes half way open

"No" Charlie let go of Amara wrist

"what kind of sick shit is this?" she asked

"I don't have fresh meat for you to eat today" Charlie shrugged

"the stomachs are the best part of the body" Thomas said closing his eyes

"Too bad"

"St-stomachs!?....body?" Amara asked shaking a little

"I'm fine with whatever as long as it's not the fingers I-"

"I never asked what you like and what you don't like" Charlie cut Thomas off

"What!?" Amara tried to control the shaking but she couldn't hide it

"Relax" Charlie laughed "I only give him dead corpse"

"as if that makes it better!" she turned away from Charlie "your father is cannibalistic"

"He did this to me" Thomas whispered

"We never asked" Charlie got in front of Amara "Either you treat me with respect or you'll be sleeping down here with him"

Amara quickly shook her head "I-I dont want to- Charlie please don't"

"he's ridiculous " Thomas mumbled

"Just like you- all those times I begged for you to stop beating on me all those restless nights" Charlie faced his father walking away from Amara

"I did it out of lo-"

"out of love....sure" Charlie squatted in front of his father

"Just cut the girl up Charlie" Thomas coughed

Amara looked at the back of Charlie's head it was like everything was in slow motion for her

"It was like no matter what I did I wasn't good enough for you" Charlie said breaking Amara out of her thoughts

"I need to get my black ass out of here" she mumbled looking towards the stairs

"It looks like your new toy is trying to get away" Thomas weakly said

"Amara isn't dumb" Charlie stood up completely

"I was dumb enough to sleep with your crazy ass" she mumbled

Charlie rushed towards her and grabbed her chin roughly making her wince

"What did you call me?" he clenched his jaw squeezing her chin tighter

"Stop Charlie!" she pushed him back as hard as she could

"reminds me of your mother and I" Thomas weakly laughed

"don't compare me to your horrible relationship with that weak dead bitch"

Amara took off running up the steps trying to get away from Charlie as fast as she could

She made it up the stairs trying to lock the basement door she struggled to lock it

Charlie pushed the door open causing it to hit her in her nose making her cry out and stumbled back

"You're pulling this shit again?" He closed the basement door as she held her nose

"Go to hell" she mumbled

"sure"

"Charlie I just want to go I don't want to be here I won't tell-"

"Lie all you want I'm not letting you go Amara" he made sure the basement was locked and walked away

she checked her nose in the hallway mirror thankfully it wasn't broken or bleeding

The door bell made Amara jump she turned and looked towards the door

Charlie opened the door she couldn't make out what was being said but Charlie was pushed back and the door swung open

"I don't understand why you haven't called me Charlie I thought we had something special!"

A female with brown long hair came rushing into the house she had black eyeliner on with a lip piercing and red lipstick on her thin lips

"Help me ! i'm being held against my will!" Amara cried out

"this is who you picked?" the lady asked pointing to Amara

Charlie sighed closing the door and locking it

"PLEASE!" Amara begged

"oh honey i'm not here to take you away from the situation" she laughed walking pass Amara

the lady had to be 5'10 or 5'9 she was taller than Amara and it was obviously

"are you going to help me or what Vanessa" Charlie followed after her

"I'll help you but it comes with a price" Vanessa smiled

"What is it?"

"sleep with me" she flirted

"um....another option?"

Vanessa narrowed her eyes

"We can always just pimp her out throw her with the traffickers" she shrugged

Amara frowned her heart felt like it was about to explode

"Not an option she's mine" Charlie said coldly

"sleep with me Charlie" Vanessa begged putting her hand on his chest

"Come to think of it I don't need your help anymore" Vanessa scoffed laughing

"Sure" she made her way to the front door

before she turned the knob she looked back at Amara

"break my cousin heart and i'll break you" she laughed and walked out
