Ye-eun had woken up with 14 missed calls and 25 text messages from her friends. She was supposed to go skiing with them but after previous events, she simply couldn't be bothered. She read through the 8 text messages from Jae-joon and sighed.
Did Ye-eun feel bad for ditching? yeah.
Did she honestly care that much? no.
'Sorry baby, only just woken up. I have the worst migraine so staying in bed today. Have fun!'
After texting her boyfriend she decided to text her best friend, Yeon-jin. The two had a quick phone call last night before Ye-eun went to bed, it was basically just Yeon-jin moaning about her mother and inviting her for drinks at Sa-ra's house the following night.
'Won't be coming to Sa-ra's tonight, feel awful. Make sure u all miss me though.'
Ye-eun went through the rest of her messages, replying to Sa-ra, Myeong-oh and Hye-jeong but one message in particular caught her attention.
Ye-eun found herself sitting up quickly as she pressed open.
'Do not blame yourself anymore, I am here for u. Also, u stole my suit jacket.'
Ye-eun laughed to herself as she read the text message over and over again, her cheeks flushing as she glanced to Do-yeong's black suit jacket hanging on the back off her bedroom door.
'Thank u. I'm glad I have a friend in u. Also, Your jacket is safe! maybe my hostage now, but safe.'
Ye-eun quickly pressed send and put her phone on the side before standing up to get dressed for the day, she was determined to see Moon Dong-eun. She knew she wouldn't be at school, it was closed. So, that would mean going to Dong-eun's house. She remembered the address from when her dad dropped her friend off home.
After around 20 minutes, Ye-eun grabbed a back pack from the back of the door and threw it onto her bed, She quickly eyed Dong-yeong's jacket hung up and paused. Should she? shouldn't she?
Ye-eun ran her hand over the fabric softly before bringing it up to her nose, the cologne on the jacket brought her back to the previous night.
Being so close to him. Ye-eun pictured his face, his scar above his lip that she had decided she loved, his dark eyes..with a sigh, Ye-eun dropped the fabric and walked back to the back pack.
"What is wrong with me?" She mumbled to herself as she opened the backpack wide, grabbing some bandages, hydro peroxide, alcohol wipes, pain relief from the pharmacy bag, she had brought extra just incase Dong-eun needed more.
Ye-eun grabbed a pen and some paper from her bedside table, scribbling a note.
'I will always fight in your corner. Do not give into the pain.'
Ye-eun looked over her words before she ripped the page out of the note pad and put it in the back pack.
Ye-eun grabbed her coat and the bag and started rummaging through the kitchen cupboards to find some spare food and drinks to give to Dong-eun.
Ye-eun didn't want to judge as she didn't know the situation but something told her Dong-eun's mother wasn't exactly living up to her role as mother.
"My word, are you going away for a month?"
Seo-jun asked his daughter as he watched her struggle to zip up the back pack she had filled, There was no chance of getting one more thing in it.
Seeing his daughter struggle, Seo-jun walked over and helped Ye-eun zip it. "It's for Dong-eun. She looked so frail yesterday, I don't think she's been eating. Is that okay?" Ye-eun asked as she watched her father effortlessly zip the bag shut.
Seo-jun looked at Ye-eun with admiration, how did he get so lucky?
"That's more than fine. Here." Seo-jun opened his wallet and took out ₩1,000,000. Handing the money to his daughter, he nodded to the backpack.
"Give this to your friend too." Ye-eun smiled at her father as she took the money from him and put it in the front pocket. "Appa..Thank you." Ye-eun threw her arms around his shoulders and hugged him tight.
"No need to thank me, we have plenty to go around." Seo-jun replied as he took his daughter's face in his hands and smiled proudly.
"You make me so proud." Seo-jun pressed a kiss to Ye-eun's forehead before letting her go.
"I have a meeting, did you want me to take you in the car?"
"It's okay, I'll be fine." Ye-eun reassured as she grabbed the back pack from the kitchen side and set off in search of Moon Dong-eun.

Arriving at the building Ye-eun and her father dropped Dong-eun off at yesterday, Ye-eun entered but soon realised she didn't actually know which door belonged to her school friend.
Walking down the corridor, Ye-eun spotted an older woman cleaning a room out. "excuse me?" Ye-eun bowed to the lady as she turned, smiling at the girl kindly. "yes dear?"
"I'm looking for Moon Dong-eun? Do you know where I could find her?" Ye-eun asked as the elderly nodded her head and held her hand out to the room she was cleaning. Ye-eun then noticed all the belongings piled up outside the door.
Was Dong-eun moving?
"They're moving, haven't said where to. I imagine they'll be coming by to collect the rest of their things." The lady informed, causing Ye-eun to nod her head.
"Could you possibly see to it that Dong-eun get's this bag when she returns? If she returns I guess." The teenager handed the woman the back pack when she said she would hold onto it until she saw either Dong-eun or her mother.
After thanking the elder lady, Ye-eun bid farewell and left the building, her brows creased in concentration.
Where are you Dong-eun?
