Adora's POV

My life sucks, this world sucks. I closed the bathroom door & locked it before sitting down.

"Babe? Which room are you in?" She asked before her footsteps got lighter.

"I wish I wasn't here. I wish I was with Bow & Glimmer. I wish things could go back to the way they were, Mario Kart & pizza." I muttered before I felt the door swung open.

"Surprise Babe! Found you!" She said before laughing. I sighed before standing up.

"You're so clumsy babe, I have Mario Kart if your down for a race or two." She said & I thought for a moment. Did she overhear me? Oh God if she heard about my friends I'm more dead than roadkill.

"Fine,"

"Yay! Meet you in our room babe!" She said before giving me a quick peck on my lips & running off. I held back a sob before going downstairs.

"I feel like she hates me," I muttered sitting down.

"I just need a break," I said before I felt her arms wrapping around my neck.

"Hey babe, everything's set up already."

"Ok," I muttered standing up. We went upstairs & back into the bedroom.

"Thanks," I said grabbing my controller.

"Don't mention it, babe. I'd do anything for you." She said before kissing my cheek. Except let me go. We played a few matches before she went to the bathroom.

"Where are you Melog?" I got up & started looking around until I saw them hiding under the bed.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked as they stepped out.

"Are you hurt?" I muttered before feeling some blood on my hands.

"Melog!?" I said before pulling them completely out of the bed.

"Your bleeding? What happened?" I asked before I saw a shadow in the room.

"Hey Catra," I said before Melog went back under the bed.

"No wait come back! Catra, Melog is bleeding can you tell them to get out." I said & she shook her head before sitting next to me.

"Why!? They're going to die!" I said as tears filled my eyes. She noticed & looked away.

"They'll be fine babe, just a little scratch-"

"You hurt Melog!?" I asked standing up. She stood up as well & crossed her arms.

"Can't have a cute animal if they are dead." She said before I sat down & pulled Melog out.

"Leave them."

"No, I... I-I can't." I stood up with them in my arms before running to the bathroom.

"Babe I said leave them!" I heard her say before I locked the door. I put them on the counter before grabbing bandages & fixing them up.

"Done," I said before the door opened.

"Babe, what did I say?"

"They were dying! Did you not care!?" I asked holding them close.

"I- well yeah I cared I just thought-"

"Thought what? Killing them would make me think you're cute? No," I said looking away. She pulled Melog out of my hands & their fur immediately went up.

"Catra they're scared of you. Give them back." I said before she turned around.

"No can do." She walked away before I dropped to my knees & started crying.

"M-My only friend... gone," I said before hugging my knees.

"C-Catra doesn't care, she never will. How could she love someone like me."

"What kind of question is that babe?" I looked up & saw her leaning against the doorframe.

"W-What?"

"Don't play dumb, I heard everything," I said sitting next to me. She kissed my cheek before pulling me into a side hug.

"Love you, babe," I could barely breathe because I was crying so hard now.

"Babe, you need to calm down." She said putting her hand on my cheek. I pushed it away & fell to my side.

"Babe!? What's happening are you ok?" She asked coming over. Black surrounded my vision before I passed out.

Catra's POV

"Babe? Babe are you ok?" I asked putting my hand on hers.

"Babe... A-Adora?" I asked & she still didn't move.

"Did I kill her!? This is all my fault! Melog get back here, I'm going fix you up properly!" I shouted going into the hallway.

"Melog? I'll give you treats this time!" I said before I saw their purple fur.

"Hey buddy, I'm sorry about earlier," I said picking them up. Their hair stuck up but I smoothed it back.

"Your safe," I said petting them. I went downstairs before fixing them up & giving them some treats.

"Very good, sorry Melog," I said & they relaxed into my touch. I smiled before I heard movement from the stairs. I turned around & saw Adora coming over.

"H-Hey," She said before she saw Melog.

"Aw, you fixed them up? Thank you!" She said hugging me.

"Just for you babe," I said before kissing her. She seemed hesitant but eventually, she kissed back.

"There you go, now you've got it," I whispered before she went over to Melog.

"Hi Melog, I see Catra fixed you up- is that a treat!?" She asked & I nodded.

"Lucky, you got something to eat." She said & then it clicked. She passed out because she didn't eat. Ha, I'm gold.

"Hey babe, you remember the rules right?" I asked & her eyes went wide.

"D-Did I break one again!? I'm sorry," She said making me feel bad. I shook the feeling away before wrapping my arm around her neck.

"You didn't eat because you didn't give me affection," I said & her smile dropped.

"Oh don't be so glum chum."

"Sorry," She mumbled before putting Melog down.

"What do mean by affection?" She asked & I smiled.

"Oh just simple stuff, kisses, hugs, cuddling the basics babe."

"Um ok," She said before hugging me.

"What next,"

"Kiss," I said & she sighed before kissing me. I kissed back before she pulled away & sneezed.

"Bless you," I said & she rubbed her nose.

"Sorry," She apologized but I shook my hand.

"It's fine I'll make you something," I said before kissing her cheek & going to the kitchen.
