Adora's POV

"Um ok but I can't be long, Catra would get upset-"

"Can I come?" Glimmer asked & I shrugged.

"I don't know if Catra would let me," I said rubbing my arm.

"Let you!? Adora, what do you mean?" She asked putting her hands on my shoulders. Thank god Catra's not here.

"She uh well-"

"Adora, she doesn't control what you do. You're your own person."

"Yeah, yeah your right! HOSTILE TAKEOVER!!" I yelled & she face-palmed.

"What- nevermind. Let me come & if she tries anything I'll be there." She said & I nodded before we went inside her car. We drove in silence until we arrived at Catra's house.

"Ready?" She asked & I nodded before knocking. Catra immediately opened the door & her smile fell when she saw Glimmer.

"Hey Adora, come in. Thanks for driving her Sparkles, I'll take her home later." Catra said & I nervously glanced at Glimmer who wasn't fazed.

"Oh, well I was wondering if I could come in."

"Heh, what?" Catra asked & Glimmer nodded.

"Wanted to join you too, unless that's not ok?" She asked & I made puppy eyes towards Catra.

"Fine," She mumbled before grabbing my hand. She closed the door & we went to the couches. I went to sit next to Glimmer but Catra grabbed my arm & pulled me next to her. I glanced at Glimmer who shrugged.

"So, what did you want Sparkles?" Catra asked, kind of aggressively.

"As I said earlier, wanted to stay over for a bit."

"How long is a bit?" Catra asked before I put my hand on her shoulder.

"Is this a problem?" I asked & she put her hand on mine.

"Of, course not babe."

"Thanks!" I said happily.

"Hey babe, can we talk?" She asked & I nodded.

"What's up?"

"In private." She added before I glanced at Glimmer nervously. She nodded before I nodded. I followed Catra upstairs & into her bedroom.

"What's up?" I asked while she closed the door.

"Why is Glimmer here?" She asked rubbing her temple.

"What do you mean?"

"It was supposed to be me & you." She said less aggressive than before.

"Do you have a problem with her?" I asked crossing my arms. Her eyes widened before her expression softened.

"Of course not babe, I just wanted some time alone." She said approaching me. I stepped back & squeezed my eyes shut in fear.

"Your not scared of me are you?" She asked putting her hand on my cheek. I sighed before opening my eyes & moving her hand.

"Catra we need to talk."

"Yes?" She asked crossing her arms.

"I'm... I'm-"

"What?"

"I'm not happy with you anymore!" I said looking away.

"What?! What do you mean?" She asked stepping back.

"You're preventing me from being with my friends & restricting what I can do & I'm tired of it. I'm my own person & you can't change that!" I said & she seemed shocked before her expression changed.

"So? What are you saying?" She asked as her hands balled up.

"I'm breaking up with you," I said & she chuckled before started to laugh.

"You can't just do that to me, babe."

"I'm not your babe anymore, we are just friends," I said & instantly regretted it.

"We are not friends! We are lovers! We love each other, say it!" She said & I shook my head.

"I don't love you anymore."

"So you just don't love me at all!? Not enough to even be friends?" She asked looking down. I felt bad so I hugged her.

"We can still be friends, Catra," I said before I smiled. I went to pull away but her grip tightened.

"Um Catra, heh can you loosen your grip?" I asked but she simply laughed.

"I don't think so, babe."

"Catra!" I struggled to break out but each attempt only tightened her grip.

"Let me go!" I said before tickling her stomach. She laughed & moved her hands before I pushed her away.

"Adora get back here." She demanded while I started inching towards the door.

"No," I said before she quickly grabbed my arm.

"Catra that hurts," I said feeling her nails dig into my skin. She only dug it in deeper & I faced her.

"What's gotten into you!?" I asked pulling my hand away. I saw a rip in my shirt with some blood coming out.

"Ow, Catra-"

"Don't worry babe there's band-aids in the bathroom cabinet." She said reaching her hand out.

"Stay away!" I said stepping back.

"Don't talk to me like that!" She yelled & I hugged myself.

"Babe? Was I too loud, I'm sor-"

"P-Please don't hurt me!" I yelled & she put her hand over my mouth.

"Quiet down!" She hissed before I heard a knock on the door. She moved her hand & turned around.

"Adora, did I hear that right?"

"Glim-" Catra put her hand on my mouth & she smiled wickedly.

"No, she was simply talking about the game we are playing."

"Nobody sounds that scared during a game Catra." Glimmer said as tears clouded my eyes. I started to cry & Catra noticed. Her expression dropped & she wiped my tears away.

"Hey hey, your ok." She whispered but I shook my head.

"Adora? Are you ok?" I moved Catra's hand before running to the door.

"Glimmer!? Glimmer please help-"

"Shut up!" Catra said grabbing my arm & putting her hand over my mouth.

"Adora!? Catra unlock the door!"

"Sparkles she is fine, right Adora?" She gave me a look that scared everything out of me. She moved her hand & I swallowed nervously.

"Y-Yeah,"

"Adora!? Should I call Razz?"

"No," I said defeated.

"Good," Catra whispered before Glimmer sighed.

"Should I stay?"

"You'll be fine Sparkles, I'll bring her home," 

"I won't leave without Adora's approval!" Glimmer said before I fell to the floor.

"Adora!?" Catra went to help me up but I panicked & punched her face.

"Argh, ugh." She rubbed her nose as I ran to the door & unlocked it.

"Ad-"

"Drive me home now!" I said running downstairs. Glimmer quickly followed & I heard Catra coming after me.

"Come on!" Glimmer said grabbing my hand. We quickly slammed the door shut before getting into her car & driving off, not bothering to buckle up. I felt my heart beating out of my chest before I started to cry again.

"Adora, what happened up there?" Glimmer asked as I wiped my tears away.

"S-She threatened me a-and prevented me from talking."

"Really!? Should I call the police? I can get you protection."

"I-I'll be fine, thank you so much Glimmer," I said hugging her. She stopped the car & hugged me back.

"Your welcome Adora. Do you want me to keep this as a secret?"

"Yes please."

Catra's POV

When I saw them drive away I scoffed.

"She... she dumped me." I started laughing before it turned into a cry.

"The only person who matters to me left!" I said smacking my hand against the wall. I went back upstairs & into my room.

"Glimmer knows everything... heh, Adora's going to tell someone. I'm done for... unless." I glanced at my bag on the floor then at the ceiling fan.

"I have an idea."
