"Are you sure it was a wolf?" Alex asks me.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure" I reply.

"Hmm. Well maybe it was Jacob from Twilight" she says and smiles.

"I can only wish. So where's Mason?" I ask and she looks around.

"He should be getting here. He said one of his friends was coming today" she says and shrugs.

We stand by her Jeep for a little while longer until we see a black Camaro come from behind a corner. It stops and he steps out. In all his leather jacket glory. I look over at Alex and see that she has a dreamy look on her face. He smiles when he sees her and walks over. They hug and start talking.

"So where's your friend?" Alex asks and looks at him.

"Should be here any minute" And as if on cue and black motorbike comes towards us. It stops right by Mason's car and the person shuts off the ignition. They are getting ready to take off their helmet-

"Oh crap! I forgot I have to meet Brelynn and Lane before first block!" I say and jog towards the school.

After horrific hours of boredom it is eventually lunch. I make my way towards the cafeteria, but when I look in I see that Brelynn is with Lane and Alex with Mason. I stop short of the door and contemplate going in. I shake my head and look back up. Sitting beside Mason is someone with another leather jacket on. I can't tell who they are because they have their back to me. I walk towards study hall when I decide I will just go outside and read.

I swear I hate P.E. First I got knocked upside the head at full speed with a volleyball. Then while I was changing I fell into the lockers and got a beautiful bruise on my hip. Great. Now we only have five more minutes until last block is over.

The teacher is blabbing up at the front of the room and no one is paying him any attention. The bell rings and we all pile out of the classroom. I walk towards Alex's Jeep and I see her waiting. Again.

"Hey Alex, I'm just going to walk home" I say and she nods.

"Wait! You're not gonna meet Jaxon?" She asks.

"Who's Jaxon?" I question.

"Mason's friend" Oh. The one on the motorbike.

"Oh. No I'll see him tomorrow probably" I say and she turns back around with a nod.

It only takes me twenty minutes to get home. I walk through the front door and walk into the living room. Hayden is sitting with Avery and my mom watching t.v.

"Hey guys" I say and wave. I walk over towards my mom and hug her.

"Hey Mama" I say and look at her. She looks really tired.

"When did you get home?" I ask her.

"About an hour ago" She replies quietly.

"You should go get some sleep. I'll make supper tonight" I offer and she nods. She gets up and heads for her room.

"Can someone wake me up around nine?" She says and Avery nods.

I walk into the kitchen and look in the fridge for something to make. I see some hamburger meat. Uno ingredient. I look in the pantry and see some pasta and pasta sauce. Perfect. I pull the hamburger out and put it into the sink. I put some water into a pot and turn on the burner. I'm rolling the meatballs when Avery comes in and hands me my phone. I look down at my dirty hands and she answers it and sticks it in between my shoulder and my head.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hey!" It was Alex.

"What are you doing?" I ask and I hear her take a deep breath. Oh god.

"WeareallgoingtotheskatingrinktomorrowandItoldeverybodythatyouwouldcome" I didn't understand a word except skating rink.

"What?" I ask.

"We are going to the skating rink" She says slowly.

"Oh that sounds fun. What time are you guys going?" I ask putting the pasta in the boiling water.

"WE are going Saturday night" She replies.

"I'm not going" I say simply.

"Yes you are" She says more stern.

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"I've already told them you were going" She says sadly. No. No guilt trip.

"Who's them?" I ask.

"Mason, Brelynn, Lane, and Jaxon" She says.

"Ok whatever, I'll go. But! I get to leave whenever I want" I say pouring the sauce in with noodles.

"Fine. Yay! This is going to be a lot of fun" Why is she acting so... perky?

"Why are you acting like that? What is Mason doing to you?" I ask joking.

"Delilah I have to go" She says quickly and hangs up.

What? I pick up my phone and look at it questioningly. What is her problem? Oh well. I finish up and tell Avery and Hayden that supper is ready. They get their food and go back and sit down in the living room. I guess I'm going to have a busy weekend.

I'm currently sitting on my porch waiting on Alex. She's fifteen minutes late. Screw it. I walk back into the house and grab my skateboard.

I'm there within ten minutes. I walk up and see her taking and smiling with our group of friends. We make eye contact and her eyes immediately show regret. I keep walking towards the school.

"Delilah!" I hear her yell. I ignore her.

"Delilah!" She yells again. I throw my skateboard down and turn around.

"What" I answer.

"I'm so sorry! I totally forgot!" She pleads.

"Really? You forgot about something that you have done since you got your drivers license? Oh yeah sure. But you have a life, I get it. You're not my babysitter anyways" I say and storm into the school.

I walk into first period and sit down. Other students start to pile into the room. Class starts and I'm not paying any attention. I jump when a paper ball lands on my desk. I look at the teacher to make sure he didn't see it. He has his back to me so I open it.

"You better pay attention. I think we may have a test tomorrow.~Blake" I read it and look around. I see him smiling towards my left. I didn't even realise he was in this class. I laugh and turn back to the teacher.

Study hall come slower than expected. I sit down at a table and pull out my binder. Someone sits next to me and I look over. It's Blake.

"Hello, person who doesn't pay attention in class" He says and smirks.

"I do pay attention!" I say and smack his shoulder.

"Hey!" He says loudly. A student turns around and shushes us. He sticks his tongue out them and I giggle.

"What are you laughing at?" He says and looks at me with a serious face.

"Nothing" I say and try to stop laughing.

"Really?" He asks with a smile.

"Yeah. Don't mind little ol' me here" I say and open my binder.

"Hmm sure" He replies. The student turns around again and gives us the death glare.

"Can I help you madam?" He asks her and she rolls her eyes.

"Can you shut up?" She whispers.

"You're the one talki-"

"Yes, we will be quiet" I interrupt him. She turns back around and I look at him.

"You interrupted me" He says and gives a fake pout.

"And you are immature" I say and look at my binder. He gasps and covers his mouth with his hand.

"I am not!" He says loudly.

"Ms. Stone! If you and your companion cannot be quiet, I will have to ask you to leave!" Mrs. What's-her-face said.

"Yes ma'am!" I say and look at Blake.

"You are a bad influence!" I say to him.

"Am not" He says quietly.

"Are too" I reply. He huffs and gathers his things and moves.

"Aw. Is Blake pouting?" I whisper. He nods and sticks his bottom lip out.

"Fine" I say and put my binder into my book bag.

I get up and leave. I walk out and look in at Blake. He looks at me and I stick my tongue out at him. He has a surprised face and stuffs his things into his book bag. He heads towards the door with a mad face. Uh oh. I start to run and he chases after me. I run out of the front doors with him right on my tail. I run onto a grassy area and look behind me. He not there. I look around and I don't see him.

"Boo" He says from behind me. I turn around and push him. His hand latches around my wrist and he pulls me down with him. He straddles my waist and pins my hands above my head.

"Gotcha" He says and smiles. We look at each other and his smile fades. His face starts to get closer-

"Delilah?" I hear from above us. I look up and I see Alex looking at us weirdly.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Who's this?" She says and points towards Blake.

"This is Blake" I say. He gets up and pulls me up.

"Hi" He says quietly. She lifts her chin and looks at him warily.

"Alex?" I hear Mason ask. She turns around and looks at him.

"You gonna come back to lunch?" He asks.

"Yeah" She says and follows him back into the cafeteria.

"Well that was awkward" Blake says and we both burst out into hysterical laughing.
