She's someone who's whole world has changed, crumbled just like her joy.

Her world has become mad just like her, cruel and full of sorrow.

Someone who thinks dark thoughts when insomnia creeps in and her mind is askew or astray.

A girl who has been struggling to be the creative girl she once was because life keeps getting in her way.

She's a girl who posts happy things on social media to keep everyone from knowing what she's really dealing with.

A girl who sometimes holds her fingers up to her neck to feel her pulse, to know that she's still alive, that she's still breathing.

She's a girl who wears a mask,
One of fooling grace and beauty just like her smile that has fallen over time.

She's a girl who's been strong for so long,
But who's fight is starting to grow weary and weak

And yet...still doesn't want to give up...
Because of one person who God put in her life.

But alas, does he understand that he keeps her going?
