Nova then waxed the hoverboard's surface with slime goo, and stuck Bluebloom petals onto the board, the magic property of these flowers serving to both give the board a nice colour, and also to improve mana retainment when the board is not in use. He then put the hoverboard in his bag, for though he wanted to try it out, he would unfortunately need to wait for his mana to recover before he could. He then walked over to where SolarSparkle was practicing magic, and waved.

Players can see each other's nametags in PLAYGROUND, but it's polite to introduce yourself, which is what Nova was just about to do.

"Hello, I'm SolarSparkle, but you can call me Sol" Rachel stammered. She saw NovaNight's name tag, which sounded kind of familiar, but she couldn't remember where she'd heard it before.

"We've met. I'm NovaNight, you can call me Nova." James replied, grinning as he sent Sol a friend request.

A gobsmacked Rachel accepted the friend request, and asked what James had made.

"I'll tell you later." Nova replied, before asking Rachel to use Mana Pool. Nova really needed his mana back, especially for what's coming next.

Inside the circle of regeneration, Nova took out the hoverboard, and let the board's internal mana supply fill.

James was currently rushed for time, because as soon as he told Sol his name, his disguise wore off, and soon the guards would come running, probably including a guard, very mad at Nova for stealing his Crim Reaper.

Soon, shouts of guards could be heard. 'Meet me outside town" Nova quickly told Sol, as he stepped onto his hoverboard, and begun another game of cat and mouse with the guards.

Nova beelined for the guards, knowing that his hoverboard had 40 seconds of hovering, at most. He was a level 0, without a class, with a low mana pool. James knew that the carving he did on the runes was pretty bad, as was the magic input into them, but the design James used was designed for the very early-game, and countered some of those faults, namely with a "magic regulation system", which was basically a magic battery, and allowed for a more stable hoverboard, with no fluctuations in thrust, although it did have a "jet" mode, which burnt through 4 times the mana, but with a big speed boost.

The guard Nova beelined to was very unfortunate, and also unprepared. As Nova came near, he twisted the hoverboard, making it smack horizontally onto the guard's face, stunning giving James enough time to "borrow" another sword, before Nova was up on his hoverboard again, taunting the guards as he left.

Nova hoverboarded to the rooftops, before picking up the board, and running along them – he didn't need to use all the charge on his hoverboard right now.

He also needed to decide how to tell Rachel the news of him being banned form the town, and definitely needed to find evidence for the crime.

James was woken from his thoughts by more shouting – the guards were chasing him, and gaining. It was a rule of the world that you didn't let a taunt go unnoticed, so all the guards were either chasing him or going around to cut him off. Stealing their beloved mayor's panties was one thing, but having two of their swords stolen, followed by a taunt, that was personal.

The guards would get their swords back, James knew. Either when they caught James, if they caught him, he would return them, although, soon, James knew, he'd have hordes of adventurers after him, trying to get the rewards for some quest, the guards were bound to put one up sometime soon.

Anyway, to combat the rapidly gaining guards, James decided to use his new wind spell, Gust. He could use it to blow 2 or 3 guards back a bit, what most people would do, but James was not most people. Instead, what James did was to blow himself forward, increasing the distance between him and the guards.

He slowed for a second, before casting the spell, and being propelled across the main street. Because of the size of the busy street, the guards couldn't just walk across another of those planks, they instead had to climb down from the building, cross the busy traffic, and climb up the other. What's worse, the plan to cut him off had failed, due to him changing directions.

Nova came to another part of the wall, different to the obvious spots of the slums, the gatehouse, nor the tall building where exited earlier, but to a flush section of wall that was sparsely guarded.

It was tall, but Nova now had a plan to deal with tall. The cooldown for gust was over, so he used it to propel himself onto the wall, surprising one of the sentries there. James hopped onto his hoverboard, and jumped off, the cushion of air from the hoverboard softening his landing.
