'A little- no. Left I said.'

'I am, toad face.' Draco sneered.

You raised your brows at him. You were practising your spells with Draco in an empty study room. You brought a vase with you to practise. He was trying but he just wasn't getting it right.

'Excuse me?'

'You heard me.' He snapped.

Draco lowered his wand with a frustrated sigh. You decided not to say anything. You watched him for a moment.

You noticed him being paler than usual. He seemed tired and worried basically all the time. It was asif he was facing an internal struggle. Every time he failed it was like his life depended on this subject.

'What?' He sneered.

'It's just a subject. It's just charms. You'll be alright.'

Draco was caught of guard for a moment. He wasn't used to anyone soothing him. It felt weird but also nice. He had to stop being this obvious about it though.

'What's gotten into you?' He asked. 'Last time I checked, I was the worst.'

You rolled your eyes at him. You stepped backwards a little as he raised his wand at you.

'Go on then.'

'Colovaria.' He said.

Nothing happened. Not surprised seeing he used a straight handmotion again. You snatched his wand out of his hand. You pointed it at a vase in the study room. It changed colour right away.

'Yeah, but you're a cheater. You're very good at this. I'm more of a potion guy myself.'

'It's the handmotion. You're still using a straight line.'

You showed him the motion with his wand. His wand felt really nice in your hand. It wasn't even too bad. He looked at it.

'You see.'

Draco walked closer to you. He watched you make the movement before stopping behind you.

'What are-'

'Show me again.' He said, you felt his breath tickle your neck.

You started the motion again as you felt him grab your hand. His hand was bigger than yours so it was almost completely covered. He stepped a little closer. You felt your back against his chest. You took a deep breath as you did it again.

'Like that?' He asked while moving your hand for you.

You just nodded. He let you go and you turned around. He snatched his wand from you again like nothing happened.

'Move, I want to try it on you.' He grinned.

'No. No way. I love my hair too much.'

'Colovaria.' He said.

The spell hit your robes and they changed from yellow to green. You looked at them in shock.

'Excuse you?! You ruined them!' You panicked.

Your family didn't really have a lot of money. So this was kind off a big issues.

'Green looks better than those disgusting yellow ones.'

'No you don't understand. I only have 2 of these.'

Draco noticed that this wasn't just playful panic. He sighed.

'Colovaria.' He said.

Before you knew it the colour changed back. You looked at him.

'Stop stressing. You're crazy.' He laughed.

You hit him against his arm.

'This isn't funny. I'm trying to help you and you're just being an arse.'

'You're too sensitive. Learn to take a joke. Be glad that I can do it.'

'Yes you can.  That means I can finally be away from you.' You noted while grabbing your stuff.

Draco leaned on the table and looked at you. You weren't too bad. Not as bad as he thought you were going to be.

'You'll help me with the paper, right?' He asked.

'Ask your girlfriend.' You joked.

You packed your book and swung your bag over your shoulder.

'What girlfriend?' He asked. 'I might be rich, have a famous last name and be incredibly handsome, but I don't have a girlfriend.'

His shallow personality was literally the worst. You laughed and rolled your eyes. His ego was bigger than all of hogwarts.

'Pansy. She seems awfully close to you.'

'Pansy?' He grinned. 'No. No way. She tries, but she'll never be my girlfriend. I don't like her like that. She scares off all the girls though. I've seen her threaten potential date material.'

You couldn't believe you were having a normal conversation with Draco Malfoy. One that wasn't filled with comments and sneers. He was starting to become better for you to deal with.

'She literally punched me on the nose for a nickname.. and I'm not even dating material.' you laughed.

Draco looked you up and down for a moment.

'Eh, solid 6. Mostly because of your house and awful personality. Your looks bring it up though. Else you'd be a 2.'

You hit him in the side with your bag, offended. Draco grabbed your bag and pulled it out of your hands. He held it above your head.

'What are you, 5?' You asked him, while looking up.

'You keep hitting me with it.'

'You called me a 2 basically.'

'Wrong. I called you a 6.'

You pushed him. Draco stepped back and pushed your bag into your arm. You grabbed it and looked at him for a moment.

'You're a 5.5. You'll always be worse than me.'

Draco knew that was true. He did like arguing with you.

'You wish.' He smirked.

With that he left the room. You heard the door close. Did he just make you smile? You walked out of the room and headed towards the common room. You didn't even step around the corner before someone slammed you against the wall.

You looked at them in shock. Your heart was beating fast as you had no idea what was going to happen. You looked straight into Pansys eyes. Her 2 friends, hangout behind her.

'Leave me alone, will you?'

'I saw you two laughing. I don't know what you're doing but no one wants this. One step closer and I'll make you regret it.'

'He's literally the worst person on planet earth. You can have him.' You sighed.

You pushed her back and quickly walked away.
