Pinchers to Ditchers.

Midnight was very unimpressed by the Pinchers and their schemes. He tore Blue Eyes down while getting a book at an abandoned mansion and had taken her to be a captive. She wouldn't answer any of his questions despite the numerous times of him shocking her. Then they threw the real threat down. Somehow the other admin, Red Eyes, had gotten a hold of Pichu and was threatening. At least he was willing to make a trade. Of course, Midnight was pissed and dragged the poor admin to the meeting place. Entei joined him as they waited for the mystery 'Red Eyes' before Midnight noticed that the pedestal that was supposed to be Entei's was damaged. He fell quiet before a rather familiar voice filled the air.

"Oh look who it is!" They all looked up as the red admin landed. Pichu was very poorly tied up and attached to the male's belt as he smiled. But Midnight knew this guy. He said nothing as he growled. "Man, I thought I have seen anger, but you make it look like it means happy. Relax... I haven't hurt your partner. Though, I think you need to tell it to lay off on the lightning."

"Make me." The smaller male hissed, getting into a more threatening stance.

"Ooh... violent..."

Blue Eyes frowned. So many things were wrong. First off, Red Eyes was not this cocky. Second of all, this was like a play full of improv. Why was that? Lastly, how did he even get a hold of Pichu in the first place? That had been tickling her mind for a while. She was suddenly pushed forward while Red Eyes tossed Pichu over. They returned to their respectful sides before Blue Eyes caught some from the small ranger.

"copa to bok. yee tenga tu levo, Rednal." Red Eyes didn't respond as he released her from the ropes. Then he spoke.

"oh alsll verlo cama pak, yikai. . pelo recha bok ka to... Midnight." He then smiled at her. "Shall we get going?" She barely responded as they took off, leaving Midnight to watch them go.

But questions surged in her mind.

She later fought Midnight on the Pinchers sub before having to crash it. He dealt with her challenge very easily, much faster than she could've. Lightning crossed over his body before he shouted.

"SAVIORSHIP OF GASPATION!"

He then slammed his hand against the floor as water circled them. She closed her eyes. She should've made sure everything was ready for her plan. She paused before opening her eyes as something seemed to circle her head. That's when she froze. A stream of air was circling each of their heads while a gray light guided them out of the crashed sub. He grabbed her hand and pulled her with it.

"Excuse me! I am your enemy-"

He gave a half glance back at the female before they were out of the sub and it disappeared. He then pulled her above the waves. She couldn't reply before Midnight gave a weak huff and Pichu lightly hit him on the head. That's when Midnight finally spoke.

"You're welcome-" Pichu gave a quick yelp as his voice sorta dropped. While they were enemies, they were also in the middle of the sea. She gently got him onto her back and summoned something.

He woke up to a faint smell roaming through the air. A thought touched his head. That better not be the Minister. He went down before he paused. Pichu was at the table as Blue Eyes glanced back.

"Whatever it was, Pichu did it." The small mouse shrugged as it worked on his kit. Midnight scanned the table, noting the food. "Come eat something, Ranger boy."

"I'm going to shock the next person that calls me that..." His stomach argued as he went over and paused. "Why are you here...?"

"Why'd you save me?" She was quiet as he paused.

"It's... a ranger's duty to help..."

"I'm your enemy."

Silence followed before he sat down and paused again. The female placed some food in front of him before she paused.

"Y'know, Pichu does more work than you do sometimes. When I was making food, it was working on at least three things." Midnight gave a low growl.

"Pichu... we've talked about this..." It shrugged before going back to work on the kit it hand in front of it. Indeed, it had folders that were done beside it and his styler, that he was sure he had with him, on the other side. He went to grab it when it shocked him. Blue Eyes chuckled at the exchange before midnight finished eating.

"Ok... I was about to ask why give it so much work, but Imma keep that to myself..." Midnight scoffed a little before he paused.

"You still haven't answered the question." She hummed.

"Well... you saved me... and I wanted to be sure you got to safety after you did that. Almost paying you back in a way." He blinked a little as she sighed. "Well... I'm not staying. It's you vs Red Eyes. Of course... what's the relationship between the two of you?" He scoffed.

"Brothers."

"You two look nothing alike."

"You can say that about a lot of my family." He pulled out a picture and passed it to her. "This was sent to me just a month before the rain finally disappeared. It's old, but still accurate."

She gazed at the picture. All of the kids were young, but she could tell what he meant. She handed it back before Pichu closed up the kit and picked up the styler.

"Pichu, I'm going to need that..." It huffed before he glanced at her. "Where's Red Eyes at?"

"I can't say dead, can I?" He shook his head. "Then he headed to the volcano. Have fun."

"Oh hell no..." She chuckled softly before grabbing her bag that he barely caught and headed for the door.

"Pichu, be nice to him." It sent a growl before she vanished. He then chuckled.

"In your dreams..."

Red Eyes was not having it with him.

Just the journey up was annoying. Pichu shocked everything while Midnight was simply screaming.

"JERKS!"

They were gone before he could do anything. And Red Eyes wasn't any better. He had awakened Moltres.

"Red Eyes!" The villain was already in the air, leaving him to deal with his menacing Charizard. Of course, the Fire type barely held him back with the speed he gave before a symbol appeared underneath him and he suddenly caught up with him. Red Eyes winced.

"What!? How-" The sight of Latios must've shut him up as Midnight spoke.

"You're not getting out of this. I've been here way longer than you have and there's few things I've experienced as a Ranger. Give me a real challenge!"

Red Eyes recovered from his shock before something struck the side of the Legendary and they were shot down. Midnight shifted pokemon, letting Latios flee to heal. He then looked to the sky to see the red villain vanish.

"Darn it..."

It wasn't until the mountains did he really get somewhere. After waking Articuno, he went to race off when Midnight shouted.

"Rednal Flamerite Skyborn!" The red villain stopped at the sound of his full name. "Ba hego da stop, Yi kai yai yai! To domo quer ta shadows mud to skies da sly to, batooay to!?"

Red Eyes, or Rednal in some cases, fell silent before Midnight took a series of deep breaths. It took some time before a gentle voice filled the air.

"Ka kaylay secmop isko... ba tis mi solo jogire een levo..."

Midnight paused before going over and pulling him into a hug.

"Non diejag... yikai po wat me... nut me yee hap ta shygem."

"Ok..." Midnight smiled at that.

Later was not fun.

While fixing the Wireless Tower, he was attacked. It was unknown why, but he just saw a bunch of gray blurs and a mysterious blur. He wasn't sure what color it was, but they knocked him out.

And to think they celebrated their win recently.

"Midnight?"

The small boy gently woke up to see Rednal and the Minister standing over him. His vision wouldn't focus, so he just spoke softly.

"Y-yeah?" He paused as they smiled.

"Are you ok? We found you collapsed at the tower." He nodded as his vision started fading. "Midnight, stay with us. We need to know what happened."

"Too fast..." He murmured softly. "They moved too fast for me to keep up..." Rednal paused.

"What do you remember?"

"Lota... lota blurs... gray mostly... and..." He paused. "There was a color that I wasn't sure about... either... red or blue... I don't know though..." The Minister touched his head as darkness clouded his vision.

"Yeah... you need help..." Rednal nodded as Midnight paused. A particular sound had yet to hit the air.

"Wait..." He gently sat up, quickly regretting it as pain hit. "Where's Pichu?" Rednal paused.

"That was going to be my next question. It wasn't with you when we found you." The thought made him tremble as he laid down.

"I... I'm not sure..." Lisalia gulped.

"You rest. You're in no condition to get too far. I'll get some assistance." He nodded as he faded off.
