(Y/n) was sipping their hot chocolate, sitting on the couch of the have cots. Lollipop was sitting next to them, watching as Bubble and Ruby hung up Christmas decorations.

Leafy was setting up the tree, and stringing lights on the branches. They all seemed pretty happy, until Gelatin slammed open the door.

He panickedly tried to shut the door, but it wouldn't. "G-Guys! We have a problem!" He screamed, as Leafy ran over to help. "Oh no! It's back!" She nervously gasped.

(Y/n) glanced between everyone, confused. They all seemed scared...except for Ruby... She was smiling brightly, and ran over to the window.

"Oh boy! Just what we needed this Christmas!!" She ran over to (Y/n), gently grabbing one of their hands.

"Beneath the apocalyptic snowflakes from above,"

She started, dragging (Y/n) to the back door.

"We're not in peril, we're in apoca-love!"

Ruby dragged them out, leaving the back door wide open.

"So, let's go walking. Or Christmas shopping!"

"No, let's do something a bit more shocking!"

Ruby pointed to where the TPOT contestants were hanging out.

"Let's go to the windmill, let's find some catharsis!"

She started to run in that direction, dragging (Y/n) with her.

"Let's go to the graveyard, in cover of darkness."

Ruby looked back at them, smiling, but it faded when she noticed their nervous expression.

"And it's okay,"

She gave them a comforting, sympathetic smile.

"I've done this tons of times!"

"Well maybe once a year, since I was very young."

Ruby stopped for a moment, turning them both around to face the lights behind them.

"It will be fine, okay? I do this all the time!"

(Y/n) stared at Ruby with worry and confusion.

"And nothing could go wrong, unless that's what you'd like!"

She pointed to her fellow contestants down in the field, as the lights descended down on them.

(Y/n) gasped, as they heard their horrible screams.

"Is this the first time that you've ever seen Aurora Borealis crush mankind?!"

Ruby cheerfully continued to sing.

"The wind chimes, chiming with the screams!"

Ruby looked at the human beside them, blushing slightly.

"A pretty winter night, your hand in mine..."

She suddenly bolted again, dragging them with her. It took a while, but they had eventually made it to where TPOT was being hosted.

"The horizon is a fog, from the breath of everyone."

Things didn't seem much better here either, as more screams echoed, Two nowhere in sight.

"And I hope you're having fun, I just had to share with someone."

Ruby dragged them over to a valve on the ground.

She turned the valve, and opened the hatch, leading (Y/n) down a flight of stairs.

"This is the empty building that I call my home."

"Baby it's cold outside, don't leave me here alone!"

Ruby frowned slightly.

"There's no good movies,"

She put her hands on her sides, as she smiled again.

"but there's a fire!"

(Y/n) flinched, as they saw a heaping mass of something burning.

"Well, scented candles that are on fire..."

"So lets take the night off, be joyful and joyously enjoy the moon rise and let it destroy us!"

She flipped a switch, and a monitor descended from the ceiling.

"And it's okay! As long as we believe, we'll be okay!"

"As if anything could go wrong on Christmas Eve!"

"Okay, you know I'm glad you're here, so I can show you this before I disappear."

It displayed the outside, and the lights that were killing all of their friends.

"Is this the first time that you've ever seen Aurora Borealis crush mankind?"

Ruby smiled at them, scooting closer.

"A flashlight underneath my chin, a pretty winter night your hand in mine..."

(Y/n) was completely shaken up by this point, scared and confused by what was happening on the surface.

"Now we're swallowed by the fog."

"From the breath of everyone..."

"I can barely see you now, but your smile is a frown..."

"Yeah, I knew it had to stop, cause I always mess it up."

"And I get it, if you run..."

"I just had to share with someone."

The lights suddenly stopped, and the screams disappeared. (Y/n) was shaken up, face paled. Suddenly, the screen glitched, and Four appeared.

"Are you both okay? I managed to stop the lights again." He frowned slightly, as he noticed (Y/n)'s scared look and pale face. "Ruby...please stop freaking everyone out."

He sighed, face palming. "This is the second time you've done this now." Glancing over to the vault, he rose his hand. "I have to recover everyone now, it's safe to come out though."

The screen flickered off, and (Y/n) stared blankly at the darkened screen. Ruby stood up, then gasped. "Oh! Mistletoe!" She giggled, before leaning down.

She pecked the human on the cheek, and their face was no longer pale. They snapped out of their trance, blushing. "H-Huh?" They stuttered, as Ruby pointed up.

They had been sitting under mistletoe this entire time.

(Y/n) stood up, blushing, but Ruby pulled them back down. "Hold on! What's the rush for? We can have a fun Christmas here in the bunker!"

They glanced to the side. "Uhhh...can't we just go back to our base?" They nervously asked. Ruby smiled. "Yeah, but there's no mistletoe there!"

With a burning red face, (Y/n) stood up.

"I'll hang some up."

This seemed to satisfy Ruby. "Okay! Back to the base it is!" She skipped up the stairs, blushing slightly. (Y/n) stood there for a moment, a dumbfounded look on their face.

"What the hell just happened?"
