(Takes place before the split)

Leafy was sulking slightly, away from the rest of her teammates. While you weren't exactly in the game, Four wasn't sure which team to put you in, he never stopped you from talking to the contestants.

Going over to her, you sat beside her: She flinched slightly, smiling. "Oh hey, (Y/n)!" You sighed, and glanced at her with half-lidded eyes. "Leafy...drop the act." You simply said, causing her fake smile to crack.

"...Okay, you've got me." She sulked, letting the fake smile fade away. You pat her on the back. "So, what's wrong?" She leaned into your touch. "Well, other than Firey pitting everyone against me, what isn't wrong?"

Leafy started, looking up at the sky. "I'm trying so hard to make up for this season, and the seasons before that, and yet everyone is still treating me like I'm a monster or something!" She ranted.

You nodded in understanding. "I'm sorry." You said, causing Leafy to look at you in confusion. "Uh, when I said everyone was treating me like a monster, I didn't mean you, (Y/n)." She blushed slightly.

"Besides Coiny, you've been nicer to me than anyone on the team." You deadpan. "Even Loser?" Leafy rolled her eyes. "Loser's nice by default." You chuckle, and Leafy smiled. It was genuine this time.

"I'm actually feeling kinda better now." Leafy told you, standing up. You stand up with her, and begin to walk further away from the team. "I'm here for you when you need me." You tell her, and she held your hand.

Just a small little something, mostly because I'm going to try to update as frequent as I can...

If it's one thing I hate, it's stories that are unclear whether they are finished, on hiatus, or abandoned.

Which if I ever go on hiatus (because let's be hopeful here, I don't ever want to abandon this work.) I will let you know with an update page in the beginning of the book, and in the title.
