Obito

"Obito! Get up or you'll be late"! Papa yelled from downstairs. I groaned as I rolled over and ended up wrapped in my covers on the floor. My twin brother Stone just laughed. "Help me would ya". He continued to laugh as he made his way over and helped me unwrap myself. "Thanks, Nii San". "You're welcome". He smiled.

I quickly got up and dressed myself in a black shirt with red sleeves, blue jean pants, my ninja sandals, and my goggles. I rushed downstairs and quickly said bye to my parents and siblings and headed straight towards the meeting spot.

"Your late Obito. Ninjas have rules, you need to stick to the plan. A good ninja sticks to the rules and does everything by the book". Kakashi said as I panted trying to catch my breath. The meeting spot was an open area in the woods. Kakashi was sitting on top of a large rock while Rin sat on the grass and Sensei against a tree.

"Rules, doing things by the book. That's all you ever talk about. Don't you have any compassion"? "Any ninja that breaks the rules sullies their name. You can at least understand that right"? "Ok ok you two, give it a rest. We're on the same team remember"? Rin said trying to be the mediator for us. She's always trying to get us to stop fighting when we start but it's always Kakashi that starts.

I don't know why he's so hard on me all the time.

"Rin, your to soft on Obito. Today's a very important day for us". She laughed nervously. "Yeah, that's true". "Huh? What's going on"? Sensei came to me placing a hand on my head. "As of today Kakashi's become a jonin just like me. For our mission today we'll split into two teams led by Kakashi and myself in order to give us the best chance of success. We're suffering from the biggest lack of manpower the hidden leaf village has ever seen".

"Actually Obito, remember our talk about giving Kakasgi a present? I already gave him the med kit and sensei's also-". "I gave him a custom-made kuni knife, just like the one I carry". "What about you Obito"?

I didn't know what to say. Yes, I remembered our talk about that and yes I was going to get a gift for him but I couldn't help but wonder if he would do the same for me if our positions were reversed. It's no secret he hates me.

"Sorry, I forgot". I looked down to the side. "What"!? Rin asked shocked. "Well I wasn't expecting anything from you anyway. It probably would've just been a piece of junk. Useless crap like that would just be excess baggage".

This is exactly what I mean. I try to not let it affect me but his words hurt more than any of the other villagers that criticize me or put me down. I don't know why but it just does.

"Oh come on, don't be that way Kakashi. I'm sure Obito will give you something great later on". Sensei made his way over to a tree stump and laid down a map. "Let me go over the mission. Your all aware that the land of Earth has launched an evasion on the village hidden in the grass right"?

"Yes, they're very fast. It's only a matter of time until they cross over into the land of fire". Rin said. "That's why we need to stop them as soon as possible. As such our mission this time is to infiltrate enemy territory and destroy the Kannabi bridge which is part of their supply route".

"So we're going to cut off the enemy's support network". Kakashi said. "What about you sensei"? I asked. "I'm going to tackle them head-on and act as a diversion for you. For today, Kakashi is your leader. We'll stick together until we hit the border but after that your teams on it's own". He placed his hand in the middle and we placed ours on top of his. "Hai"!

We traveled for a long while. Neither of us said anything as the sounds of grass crunched beneath our feet. Sensei walked ahead of us and we followed behind like good little soldiers until he stopped. We knew why, he had sensed an enemy ninja nearby.

We quickly found a nearby tree log to hide behind in case they decided to attack. It was also to give sensei time to scan the area. "Careful, there's at least twenty of them but the rest could be shadow clones". "I'm going in, cover me". "Not so fast Kakashi, you should act as backup". 

"What about what you said before sensei? I'm the leader today". He said as lightning surrounded his hand. "That means I call the shots, doesn't it? That's the rule". He said nothing. Kakashi took off and ran straight to where the enemy was.

We watched as he fought his way throw each one of them. They didn't fight one on one but in groups. I watched closely as they reached for his arms and legs trying to slam him into the ground but Kakashi wouldn't let them.

He stuck his hand throw a few of them while fighting the others with his sword. It was small but it was the perfect size for him. His lighting move made him go faster somehow abling him to hit more than one opponent at at time.

When one group was defeated the next jumped in right away not giving him a second to rest. Of course, Kakashi being Kakashi expected this. He hit a few of them that had jumped into the air with his lightning attack then quickly strikes the others with his sword.

The enemy wasn't weak though. He was able to keep up with Kakashi's movements but just barely. I could also see Kakashi was starting to get tired. He had just created that move and it was obvious it required a lot of chakra to use it.

I was very aware of the movie he was using. It was Chidori a lightning move created by Indra Uchiha. So far the only ones I knew who could use it were Uncle Izuna, Shadow, and Kana. I was impressed Kakashi had figured it out even if id never admit it.

I became nervous as his movements slowed slightly. He was starting to get tired as the number of shadow clones dropped. It wasn't long until it was just one on one. It was a battle between blades with neither side letting up. Sparks flew in the air as steal met steal and both tried to get the upper hand on the other.

It happened in a flash but while the enemy was distracted Kakashi was able to activate Chidori again and strike the enemy directly. The enemy's body fell while Kaksshi sat on the ground painting.

"Are you ok"? Rin asked rushing to his side to heal him. Sensei looked around. "Good, no sign of reinforcements. Kakashi's worn out, let's retreat for now and regroup". "I'm fine". "Fine my ass! That's what you get for ignoring sensei and doing whatever you like"!

"That's some talk, coming from a ninja who was too scared to be of any help". "I wasn't scared! And before you go blaming me sensei and Rin didn't jump in either"! "That's all that ever comes out of your mouth, excuses". "That's enough already you two"! Sensei said. "You're going to have to work together from now on on your missions.

Right now you're pulling in opposite directions. Yes, Kakashi, rules, and the ninja code are important but they aren't everything. It's like I thought you, sometimes you have to adapt to the situation you're in and bend the rules. Obito". He turned to me. "You still haven't prepared yourself to be a ninja.

"Your spirits weak, that's why you feel scared when you actually face the enemy. I've got faith in you all though. That's why I know you can complete this mission on your own but if you cannot work together and function as a team you're going to fail. Before I go one more thing. The most important thing any ninja has to master is teamwork. Got it"?

"Ok, time to split up, good luck you three". Sensei said as the four of us were heading out the next morning. "Disperse". We all took off at the same time, sensei going in his direction and us in ours.

For days the three of us headed towards enemy territory. There were a lot of times Kakashi and I argued having Rin to play peacekeeper but there were times we were able to work together even if it was rare. That was until we were deep into enemy territory.

Kuni's came flying towards us which I was able to get rid of using firestyle. Kakashi and I both shielded Rin since she wasn't that much of a fighter but Kakashi soon found himself fighting another one of them. They made their say into the long bamboo trees that surrounded us while I fought one of them in the water.

He came at me with kuni in hand but I was able to block it by using my own. The two of us glared at each other as we fought back and forth. I swiped my leg underneath his tripping him up but it was no use. Rin let out a scream alerting both Kakashi and I and was soon taken away. Neither of us knew there was a third person that could make himself invisible.

"Come on Kakashi, we gotta go after them". I was about to take off but noticed he wasn't moving. Instead, he was looking down. "Hey, Kakashi!........Kakashi"? "The two of us need to carry on with the mission by ourselves". He finally spoke.

"Eh, what"? I was cut off guard but soon found myself glaring at him. "Do you know what you're saying"? "Yes". "But Rin! What about Rin"!? "We'll worry about her later. They want to know what our plan is so they won't kill her straight away. We should be more worried about them learning our tactics. To a ninja his mission is everything. That's the ninja code".

"The ninja code!? There's something way more important than that code! What about Rin!? She's our teammate and one of our friends! She's helped us time and time again with her medical ninjutsu! She's supported us the entire time! She's....She's a priceless friend"!

"She did that because it was part of her mission". I grabbed his shirt with my balled fist but ended up letting him go. "Forget it, you and I just don't get along. We'll never see eye to eye. There's no point in discussing it anymore". I started to walk off. "You don't get it. You don't know what happens to people who break the code". There was a hint of pleading and worry in his voice that made me stop.

"Sure maybe in the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum but you know what"? I turned to him. "Someone who doesn't care about his friends and leaves them for dead is even worse than scum. The White Fang, your father understood this well. He has my utmost respect. I'm going to help Rin with or without you". I took off.

I flew through the trees in search of them. I could still feel their chakra in the air and was using that as my guide. I would make them pay. I would make them pay for hurting my friend. I would also prove to Kakashi he's wrong. I understand why he feels the way he does but nothing comes before friends or family.

I focused my eyes more as I came upon a cave. I jumped down and saw Rin was tied to a rock unconscious with two ninjas guarding her. I jumped down and charged in with Kuni in hand. One of them swung their Kuni at me but I blocked it with my own. He tried to strike me again but I blocked that one as well.

"Rin"! The man came at me again and I striked. "She's trapped in a genjutsu. If you want to free her you'll have to defeat us". The one closest to her said. The one I was fighting backed away creating distance. "But there's no way you can do that". My hand was shaking but I soon calmed it. I knew it was two on two but I couldn't let that scare me.

Rin needed me. Sensei was on his own mission and Kakashi had officially abandoned us both. It has to be me. "It must have taken a lot of courage to come here alone. Sometimes courage just isn't enough". The one I was fighting earlier said charging me. He swiped his kuni at me but I managed to dodge it. He came at me again and I dodged that one as well. I dodged him a third time and went to strike him but he managed to dodge as well.

"Fore style, fireball jutsu"! I breathed out hot flames but he rolled to the side dodging it. "Unfortunately your life ends here". He charged at me again. "Katon"! I breathed out balls of fire which he managed to slice through. He swiped his kuni but I managed to duck underneath and slid between his legs.

I used my legs to jump up and hit him dead in the face. While he was distracted I managed to slice him a few times with my kuni before punching him in the gut.

That's it. Don't let your fear overtake you. Your Madara and Hashirama's son. You're not weak.

I kicked him in the head, punched him in the stomach, kneed him in his chin, and punched him in his stomach before letting out another blast of fire. He hit the wall before landing on his feet and coming at me. I let out another blast of fire which he managed to cut through this time. "Maybe your not as useless as I thought".

He came up close and I countered with another verage of hits and kicks before using fire style to separate us. I panted slightly as I watched him land on his feet. "Whoa". "Come on, quit playing games Taiseki". His friend said. Up until now he hadn't spoken or made a single move as we fought.

"I will. Camouflage Jutsu". I watched his body disappear and gripped my kuni tighter.

So this is how they managed to kidnap Rin

I looked around but was soon met with a kick to the stomach. I turned around trying to hit him but was met with a kick to the back. I was then hit in the chin, then my face, and sent rolling on the floor. He was fast. His movements were unpredictable nor did he make a sound as he moved. I tried to listen for him but had no luck.

To make matters worse I was starting to get low on chakra. I had at least two fire attacks left, three if I was lucky. I could use my wood style but it would require the most chakra. If I did use that it would have to be as a last resort.

Before I had time to react I noticed his blade coming at me. He was moving too fast for me to be able to block it in time. I closed my eyes and waited for the inevitable pain to come but it never did. When I opened my eyes I was shocked to see someone had come to my aid. Never in a million years did I expect him to help me. He blocked the enemy's kuni with his own blade.

"K Kakashi"? "Are you ok Obito"? He asked helping me up. "W what are you doing here"? "Well, I couldn't leave a weakling like you on his own now could I"? I smiled. "He's pretty tough for a kid. I think I better join you Taiseki, just in case".

"I'll take the lead here, back me up Obito". I nodded. One of them took off and Kakashi followed behind. "Fire style"! I breathed out fire as his partner came at me. "Is Rin ok"? Kakashi asked while fighting. "They put a genjutsu on her. We'll have to beat them to save her".

"I see". His blade sliced through the air effortlessly. All I could see were flashes of white as his sword made contact with the enemy several times before kicking him to create distance. He came at him again and they soon took their fight to the nearby wall. I watched closely as I fought his friend on the ground.

He was skilled in taijutsu but so was I. I was low on chakra and tired but I didn't allow it to affect my fighting. I punched, kicked, and blocked. I wasn't about to let this become a two-on-one fight for Kakashi.

"Chidori"! Kakashi activated his lightning attack but the enemy launched Kuni at him causing him to use his blade to block. The one I was fighting tried to trip me up but I managed to jump in the air and kick him in the head.

Kakashi lunched at him with his sword but the enemy managed to block this time. "Guess there must be quite the manpower shortage in the leaf village. They must be crazy to send kids like you out to war". Kakashi swung but he moved his head to the side dodging.

"Age doesn't matter, if you can fight you fight". He spun around kicking him before swinging his sword again. The one I was fighting swung his kuni downwards but I ducked underneath and kicked him in the back before kicking him in the head.

"That's the ninja way of life. Our training is worlds apart from yours I guess". Kakashi kicked him, he tried to grab him but Kakashi countered by slicing his arm. He then spun around and used his sword to slice his stomach before kicking him in the stomach.

"Everything you say pisses me off you know that"? He ran and swung at him again but Kakashi managed to jump on the wall before using his legs to jump off and punch him. He groaned. "Don't let up just because they're kids"! "I just let my guard down for a second that's all. Still.... they're different from your average kids".

"Chidori"! Kakashi ran towards him with his lightning style, the enemy grabbed his arm but Kakashi kicked him in the stomach with both legs before swinging at him and kneeling him in the chin. "You think your hot stuff huh"? He swung at him. I managed to jump in the air and kick them both in the head before they moved away creating distance.

One of them threw kuni at Kakashi forcing him to use his sword to dodge. "Kaksshi"! "I can handle it". I was about to go help him but sensed his partner behind me. I turned to hit him but Kakashi moved behind me. I watched in horror as the blade made contact with his eye.

"Argh"! "Kakashi"! I made my way to his side quickly as he sat on the ground holding his left eye in pain. "It hurts". He groaned. I used a smoke bomb to create a temporary cover as I moved us away. "How bad is it"? "I'm not dead yet. Just stay focused".

I can never back up what I say. I always rely on everyone for help. Dad, Papa, Kakshi, Stone, Hibiki, Rin, sensei.......but still, there's something I can back up.

When the enemy tried to sneak up on us using his disappearing Jutsu I was able to see him and used the opportunity to stick my Kuni deep into him. His body became visible again as he looked down at me shocked. "Y your eyes".

"Obito, you've awakened your Sharingan". Kakashi said shocked. I smirked.

I can protect him and Rin better now.

"I'm, going to save my friends". "Whoah,  seriously! This kids an Uchiha"!? "Are you ready Obito"? Kakashi asked standing beside me. "You bet". He placed his hand on my shoulder and gave me some of his chakra before we took off.

One of them charged me but I managed to punch him before ducking, kicking him in the back, neck, and then head before sending him flying with a fire attack. He turned around and tried to hit me but I managed to dodge each one of them.

I can predict what he's about to do before he does it. This is the power dads always talking about. I wonder what'll happen if I combine it with wood release?

"You little brat don't get cocky"! He threw kuni at me but I managed to bend backwards evading it. I raised my legs up and spun them creating a fire wall before launching a fire attack at him. "What's going on with this guy? He wasn't this strong a minute ago".

I jumped in the air and jumped backwards creating distance. I looked over at Kakashi to see if he was ok and relaxed when I realized he was. "You won't be leaving here in one peace". He came at me with two kuni but I managed to kick him in the back before jumping up and kicking him in the face.

I used my kuni to cut him a few times before jumping back. "Wood style, vine whip"! A large vine sprouted out of the ground and wrapped itself around him before throwing him into the wall then into the air. "Fire style, phoenix fire "! I breathed out.

"No more running away". While he was in the air I hit him with a verage of hits before swinging my leg down to hit him. He went flying to the ground and hit it hard before I landed next to him, threw him in the air, and used the vine to grab him. I created another vine which grabbed his free arm and started pulling. He let out a loud scream as Kakashi kept his partner busy.

"Each strike"! Kakashi managed to dodge by using the speed his Chidori gave him. While he was distracted Kakashi jumped back allowing me to slide underneath and slice his back. I snapped my fingers releasing his partner and finished him off with one more fire blast.

"You little brats"! The guy Kakashi was fighting said getting back up. He came at me but I dodged allowing Kakashi to slice the part of his arm that was connected to his shoulder before jumping off it. I breathed out a blast of fire hitting him while Kakashi activated Chidiri once more.

"Obito". I nodded my head in understanding. I infused my chakra into my blade while lightning surrounded Kakashi's hand. We ran at him from opposite sides, Kakashi in the front me in the back, and didn't stop until both lightning and fire cut through him.

"You were amazing Obito. When did you learn wood release"? I smiled. "Papa thought it to me and my two older brothers. I'm half Senju so that's how I'm able to use it. While fighting I thought it would be a good combination with the Sharingan".

"Your blade"? "My father Madara thought me how to infuse chakra into my weapons. It became a lot easier once I managed to let go of my fear". "I see. Looks like your stronger than I thought". "I kept telling ya that but you never listened.

"Whatever". He said making his way over to Rin. "Release"! "Mm Kakashi, Obito"? "We've come to rescue you. Your safe now". I smiled which caused her to smile back.

"You rescued the hostage and let your guard down. Don't you think it's a bit early to relax you little leaf brats"!? One of the goons from earlier said standing back up with his partner. "Earth-style rock breaker"! The cave started to rumble causing the rocks to start falling.

The two of them started to run out but I stopped them. "Wood style, tree barrier"! Tree vines sprouted from the ground and went over our heads protecting us from the falling rocks. Wood style, splinter missile"! I put my hands together and created a tree log that sent large sharp splinters at the enemy killing them.

The three of us ran out of the cave and were greeted by sensei a few seconds later. "I came as quickly as I could. Are the three of you hurt"? "I would be if it weren't for Kakashi and Obito, they fought the enemy to save me. Obito even used wood style to help us escape the cave-in". Rin said.

"I see". He said a little shocked before smiling. "Good job Obito, I'm proud". He then looked at Kakashi". "Your eye". "It's fine, I'll learn to adapt". "Very well, let's head home you three". "Hai".

One year later

Kakashi

Supply belt check, dads sword check, my Kuni sword check, extra Kuni's check, smoke bombs check, signal flare check, map check.

"I have everything I need now to just meet up with Rin so we can head out". I packed everything then headed downstairs. "Bye dad, I'll see you when I get back". I kissed his picture that I kept on the top shelf in the living room then locked the door on my way out.

I headed straight to the gate and leaned against it while waiting for her. She came a few minutes later with her usual cheerful smile on. "Hey Kakashi". "Hey Rin, you ready"? She had a confused look. "Obito and sensei aren't coming"? "No, sensei's on his own mission, and Obito and his older brothers went with their dad on his mission". "I see, what's our mission about"? "Finding the enemy's hideout and reporting back". "Sounds easy enough".

We took off into the trees. The hidden mist was rumored to be around and the leaf needed to know where they were and what their plan was. If I had to guess they wanted to infiltrate the village as citizens and take out as many people as they could while our guard was down.

"Do you think we'll have to fight any of them"? "As long as we stay quiet and well hidden we'll be just fine". She nodded. Out of the two of us, Rin was the weakest. She has been getting a little better during the past year but she still wasn't on the fighting level Obito and I were.

While traveling through the trees we became quiet the farther we became from the village. I looked but I was having trouble finding any mist ninjas or hideouts for that matter. There also weren't any footprints and the people we did see weren't shinobi.

I was about to tell Rin to fall back but didn't get the chance. She let out a loud scream. I turned to where she was but she was no longer there. I looked into the trees and saw mist ninja carrying her away, before I had time to go after her I was targeted by two of theirs. I quickly activated Chidori and left them both with serious wounds.

It was a trap this whole time

I took out my flare and launched it signaling I needed help. I took off after Rin but soon found myself being chased by a whole squad of them.

This is bad, there's at least six of them. I can't fight that many off on my own it would be suicide. Maybe if Obito or sensei were here. Hopefully, someone saw my message.

I turned my head to the side as I felt a kunai flying towards me. I looked back and saw several more coming my way. I quickly jumped down to the forest floor to try and evade them but one of them was right on my tail.

I quickly drew the blade my father had gifted me and used it to stop the kuni that was aimed at the back of my neck. I kicked him creating distance but soon turned having to block another blade that was meant for me.

I looked behind again and saw one of them was aiming a water attack at me, I jumped up causing it to hit his partner instead but was soon met with another water attack that forced me to the ground. As I jumped to get back up I was met with a punch and kick. I managed to get away but was met with a kick to the back.

Mist filled the air in seconds and I could do nothing as I was hit with kuni after kuni. I tried to bite my thumb to summon my ninken but it was no use. One of them threw a kunai into my hand while another one of them stomped my head into the ground. I tried to look up at them but everything soon went dark.

When I came to I quickly realized I was in a dark tunnel tied up to a board. My head was spinning and my muscles were sore. I also felt different. It's like I wasn't myself but still myself at the same time. I could feel something inside of me but didn't know what it was.

When able to I slowly looked around and noticed Rin was passed out next to me while also being tied up. I moved my fingers trying to somehow lessen the ropes but it was no use, they were too tight.

You're too weak to do anything in your current state. You'll need my power to stand a fraction of a chance.

I felt my body shake. That voice was coming from inside of my head. It was coming from whatever was inside of me.

"W who are you"?

My best friend. I used to hate him but last year he opened my eyes and made me realize I wasn't alone.

It's true. Ever since our mission a year ago Obito and I have been spending a lot more time together. I opened up to him about my father's suicide and how it affected me and he held me in his arms as I cried my eyes out.

I closed my eyes and relaxed as I felt his chakra flow into me. It wasn't much but it would help get us home. My fingernails sharpened allowing me to cut myself free. I did the same for Rin and released her from the genjutsu prison. "Kakashi"? "We need to hurry". I grabbed her hand and ran off.

I knocked out the two guards that had come to check in on us and escaped out of the open entrance with her and made our way into the trees.

"Kakashi..... I feel very strange. It feels as if there's someone else or something else inside of me". "It's probably your tailed beast, I have one inside of me as well. While we were unconscious the hidden mist turned us into jinjuriki".

A few enemy ninja made their way in front of us but we fought our way through them. "You have to kill me now. We can't return to the leaf like this. The hidden mist are using us". "I can't do that. I won't do that. Do you have any idea what you're asking me"? "Please Kakashi". I looked ahead. "I'll stop them". I took out three more of their members.

We continued onwards until we came across a large opening. I grabbed her hand once more and was about to take off with her but we soon found ourselves surrounded from every angel. I activated Chidori and looked for the smallest opening I could find.

It was obvious Shiro had given me just enough chakra to be able to escape and not fight, he must be low on chakra as well. "Rin, stay back". I knew the odds weren't good but I couldn't just stand back and do nothing.

I charged at the closest one to me but nothing could have prepared me for what happened next. Before I had time to stop her or my attack Rin had jumped in front of it causing me to pierce her through the heart.

"R Rin"? "K Kakashi". Blood leaked out of her mouth as her body slid off my hand and fell onto the ground.

W what did I do?

Was the last thing I thought before blacking out.

When I came to I immediately took notice to the white walls, soft bed, and monitors. I relaxed a bit knowing I was home safe but still felt uneasy. I couldn't help but wonder who had saved me and wanted to know if Rin was ok. She couldn't be gone, there's just no way. It was just a bad dream. A very realistic bad dream.

I sat up as the door to my room opened and was shocked to see it was him. His hair had grown a bit during the past year. It went a little bit past his shoulders but that's not what shocked me. What shocked me was the fact that half his face was scared.

"Hey there Kakashi, your finally awake huh"? He said smiling as he made his way over and sat next to me. "O Obito". I reached out and gently cupped his face teary-eyed. He smiled more. "Don't worry about this, I'll be fine. I'm more worried about you".

"I'm more worried about Rin. Were they able to get to her in time? Is she still in surgery? Is she resting? Please Obito". He said nothing, instead, he took me into his arms and held me tight. "Obito"? "I wasn't able to get her back here in time. They buried her this morning".

"This morning? How long have I been asleep"? "Three days, you were extremely low on chakra. I'm just glad I was at least able to save you". "Y you were there"? "I saw the flare and came as fast as I could. I just wish I had time to save Rin as well". I couldn't take it anymore. I clung to him as tight as I could and cried my eyes out on his shoulder.

When nighttime came was when things started to get a whole lot worse. I crawled into bed but soon found it hard to sleep after ten minutes. I turned over but still couldn't get comfortable. I turned on my stomach after fifteen minutes but still no luck. I did this for three hours until I eventually gave up.

I set on the side of my bed and cried. I cried for Rin but also because I was frustrated I couldn't sleep. It was because of Rin's death. I couldn't get the image of my hand through her chest out of my head.

I didn't understand how I could do something like that. Rin was my friend. I cared about her like a sister. I looked down at my hands and started shaking. Blood was covering my them fully while leaking onto the hardwood floor.

I immediately ran into my bathroom to wash my hands. I scrubbed and scrubbed but no matter how long I washed them the blood wouldn't come off. Tears streamed down my face as my knees buckled. I fell to the floor and continued to scrub them with the soap.

I didn't hear my window open or hear him walk over but I did feel his arms wrap around me and cried harder. "T there's s so much blood. I I can't get it off. It won't come off. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry".

"Ssshh ssshh sshh, it's ok it's ok. It's merely an illusion. What your seeing isn't real. You're ok, I'm with you. I'm right here". "W why are you"? "I was worried and decided to come check on you. Is it both deaths or just Rin's"? "J just Rin's". I turned around and cupped his face.

"Promise me you won't ever leave me. Promise me that I can always count on you to be there". I clung to him crying. "I can't lose you too". He held me tighter. "I promise".
