New Diary Entry (2/2)

"Is that the Commander?"

"I think it is!"

"Look out!"

Waxer only just managed to get his foot out of the way as a grey and white shape came barreling towards him. On closer look, he saw that Commander Tooka was sitting atop a mouse droid.
Turning on his heels, he quickly set forth after the two to try and prevent another attack of the droids.

As he chased them, he noticed that the Commander seemed to 'control' where the mouse droid was going. The Tooka would place a paw on one side, and the mouse droid would go that way.
All the doors were programmed to open to a mouse droid - a while back, the mice recruited one of the astromechs to reprogram the ship - so when they reached a door, it opened—leading them straight into the canteen.
Waxer watched as Commander Tooka jumped straight off the droid onto the serving platform.

Cody walked across the platform carefully before he came across Chekar, sitting; he stared at the man expectingly.

"Hey, Commander Tooka, you hungry?" Stab asked, reaching for the Tooka food already prepared.

Cody purred, shaking his head happily as Chekar got the food out.

"I don't think I'm meant to give it to you here," Stab stated, moving around so that he could stroke the Tooka.

I won't tell.

"I'll take the Commander back to where he's meant to eat," Waxer stated, walking over as he jumped into the conversation.

Cody whined as he saw Stripe approach, moving to be sheltered more by Chekar; he pawed at the food givers arm.
He found out!

"I don't think the Commander wants that," Stab chuckled, "anyway, it's time for my break."

'Does Commander Tooka make everyone fold like wet flimsy?!' Waxer thought.

"And I believe you have more pressing matters, sir, like the washing up," with that, Stab picked up Commander Tooka and left the room.

See, someone knows what to do.

Waxer glared to stop the laughing.

-----

Waxer grunted, looking down at the Tooka whose claws had suddenly climbed into his legs. "I thought you didn't want to be near me?" Waxer asked, seeing Commander Tooka staring at him.

Cody looked at Stripe before looking at the 'pad on the table before looking at Stripe again.
Work.

"I don't know what you want," Waxer stated.

Cody slowly dug his claws in.
Work.

"Oww, no need to get prickly," Waxer winced, "do you want to be scratched?" He tried petting the Tooka but got the claws digging more profound in the leg. "I don't know what you want!"

Cody hissed, turning to pat at the 'pad before hitting Stripe arm.
Work!

"You want me to grab my datapad?" Waxer asked, feeling the claws begin to leave his skin. Picking up the datapad, he felt the Tooka shift to look at the 'pad.

Cody waited for the 'pad to have a report, but nothing appeared; he turned to stare at Stripe, letting his nails dig in further.
Work!

"Oww, what now?" Waxer groaned, seeing the Commander looking at him expectingly. Sighing, he turned on the 'pad, the previous report loading back up.

Cody trilled, seeing the report, loosening his claws from the skin.

"You wanted to see a report, did you?" Waxer asked, lightly scratching the Tookas head as the Commander purred. "Do you want to watch me work?"

Cody chirped, nuzzling slightly into the hand as a reward. He purred as he watched Stripe begin to work on the offered report.

Waxer sighed, "even when you're a Tooka, you force me to do data work." He started to work on the report, feeling how Commander Tooka continued to purr.

Cody purred happily as he watched the report; however, soon, there was a glaring mistake. Hissing, he dug his claws deep into Stripe.
Mistake! Die!

"Oww!" Waxer exclaimed, looking down and proceeding to get a face full of fur as Commander Tooka puffed up with an arched back. Scanning through the text, he sighed, "is it the comma splice? It doesn't seem big enough to warrant such anger."

Cody growled as the furless did not correct the mistake.
Kill it with a drought! Die, mistake, die!

"Fine, fine," Waxer sighed, quickly correcting the error. "Is that better?" He asked, watching as Cody deflated back to the purring Tooka he was previously.

It's dead.

By the end of the report making session, Waxer had written more than he ever thought possible and only had twelve mistakes - you start to learn under fear of pain - and Commander Tooka was happily walking out of the door.

----

Cody whined as the food tasted different, spitting it back out into the bowl. He backed away, shaking his head to try and get rid of the flavour.

"Commander, we need you to finish that food," Waxer stated, "it's good for you."

Hissing, Cody batted the bowl, spilling the food all across the floor.
Yucky means no eating. Yucky means the food is poisoned!

"Well, that is not very nice," Waxer pointed out. When he only gained a hiss, he bent down and gathered the angered Tooka in his arms and headed off.

-----

Stab looked over as Waxer brought a struggling Commander Tooka over to him. "What did you do?" He asked as the Tooka scrambled over to him the moment Waxer let him go.

He tried to poison me!

"I put the meds he has to take into his food; he spat it out and then continued to knock it all over the floor," Waxer sighed, "he has to take these."

"Well, you didn't try it with oat balls; they will easily hide the flavour as the Commander tends to swallow them whole," Stab stated, moving off to the kitchen to prepare the balls.

Cody trilled as he noticed Chekar bring over some oats. He nudged against their hand before eating them all.
Oats!

Stab laughed as Commander Tooka stared up at him expectingly. Scratching the Tooka behind the ears, he stated, "you can have more tomorrow."

Cody whined, looking up at Chekar sadly.
No more? I've been good!

"Your Tooka eyes won't work on me this time," Stab chuckled, scratching Commander Tooka behind the ears.

Cody huffed, jumping and making his way to the exit.

-----

"Oh, no," Waxer whispered, looking down at the datapad with wide eyes.

"What?" Boil asked.

"The 501st just arrived on leave," Waxer muttered.

"Oh, Force."

-----

Cody was walking when he felt someone grab him from behind.

Hardcase grinned as he saw the Tooka walking through the corridor. Reaching down, he grabbed it, holding it tight in a hug. He was startled as the Tooka let out a piercing scream. He could not help but drop the angry ball as it repeatedly tried to shred his arms apart.

Cody wailed as Haran pressed against his ribs hard. Snarling, he fought until he was released. Landing hard with a whimper, he took down the corridor.

Stab reached his side when he saw Commander Tooka coming sprinting down the corridor. Crouching down, he held his hand out, trying to calm the Tooka. "Shh, Commander, what has happened?"

Cody whined, moving to curl behind Chekar as he heard the Haran's footsteps.
He hurt me! He tried to kill me!

Stab got to his feet, shifting to a defensive stance as he heard the footsteps running down the corridor towards them.

Hardcase quickly skidded to a stop, nearly impaling himself on the blade held up aggressively. "Whoa!" Backing up, he held his hands up defensively.

"What did you do?" Stab growled, pushing the knife forwards slightly.

"I just gave the Tooka a hug, that's all, but it went mental and attacked me," Hardcase defended.

"That is Commander Tooka, to you," Stab growled, "and he was defending himself because you attacked and hurt him."

"I only gave him a hug!"

"You hugged bruised ribs, and one of them is fractured," Stab snapped, "you ran the risk of breaking the fracture. You could have hugged too tight and caused significantly higher injuries."

"Oh."

Stab growled, quickly dialling the 501st Captain. "If you do not come to collect your trooper from my location, he will be finding out why I am named such."

Hardcase gaped at the way the vod in front addressed the Captain.

"Right away, Stab."

Hardcase paled at Rex's words.

-----

Once the di'kut was removed, Stab leaned down to stroke against the small of the Commander's back. "He's gone. Shall we go get you some oat balls?"

Cody released a small whimper as Chekar picked him up. Curling into the arms, he made sure to shelter his rib from more pain as his tail draped over his eyes.

Stab continued to calm the Tooka as he walked, signalling for a passing trooper to collect the pillow. Reaching the galley, he spotted the pad on the counter between the serving area and the ovens. Placing Commander Tooka down, he quickly headed over to where some oat balls were already prepared.

Cody lifted his tail away from his eyes when he smelt the oats. Blinking slowly, he stared up at Chekar as he approached him.

"Hey, here," Stab stated, crouching slightly, so he was more at Commander Tooka's height, "I have some oat balls for you and a promise to stab the di'kut when I next see him."

Cody chirped, nudging Chekar's hand in appreciation before eating the oats.

"You enjoyed that?" Stab asked, reaching around so to pick up the pillow with the Tooka on top. He heard the Commander make a questioning noise at him. "We're just going to head to your pile, that's all. I suppose that you'd like a rest."

Cody chirped again, nuzzling his head against Chekar's chest plate.
Sleep good.

"I see that you do."

-----

Rex turned to look at Commander Tooka as the Tooka stood at his feet, releasing a sort of mreeeep noise. Reaching down, he slowly stroked across Commander Tooka's back.

Cody purred as his Kit stroked him across his back.

Rex continued to stroke across the Tooka's back until he released a sharp meOW as he turned to face the way he approached from.
"You want something?" Rex asked, looking as the Tooka made a small circle before turning to look back at him but body facing away. "I am not too sure what you want." He was startled when the Tooka released a louder meOW MEOW.

Cody narrowed his eyes when his Kit did not follow. Walking around, he started to butt his head against their leg until they moved as he told them to. Chirping to make sure they knew to continue, he walked his Kit towards the pile.

"Where we going, Commander Tooka?" Rex asked as he was continued to be walked. But he realised when he was almost forced through a door and saw the pile in the corner. "Why are we at your pile?"

Cody purred before nudging his Kit into the pile. It was slow going, but he also got his Kit to lay down.
That's it.

"Why-" Rex started as he stared at the Tooka. His eyes widened as Commander Tooka pulled a blue coloured blanket towards him.

Cody frowned as his Kit didn't wrap himself under the blanket. It seems his Kit not only forgot to sleep but forgot how to sleep.
You need to sleep; I see you need help in sleep, I help you.

Rex watched in confusion as Commander Tooka shuffled towards one of the orange blankets before tugging it over himself and staring at him expectingly.

Cody nearly groaned as his Kit didn't do what he was meant to. Sighing, he got up and pulled the blanket over his Kit, chirping before pulling it off him.

Rex stared at the Tooka in confusion at his action.

Cody whined, pulling the blanket over his Kit and nodded his head while chirping. He made sure his Kit was looking before he pulled the blanket off.
Come on, please, sleep is good.

"You want me to pull the blanket over myself?" Rex asked, looking in confusion as the Tooka chirped and nuzzled his hand towards the blanket. Overseeing him, he pulled the blanket over himself.

Cody purred, running his paw through his Kit's hair. He moved forwards, pulling his blanket with him so that he could curl up around his Kit's head.
That's it, nice and ready for sleep.

Rex didn't want to fall asleep, he honestly didn't want to, but with Commander Tooka purring so loudly around him, it was a fight he was destined to lose.

Cody waited for his Kit to fall deeply asleep to get up from the nest. Slowly, making sure not to wake him, Cody made his way out of the room towards where he knew the other would be.

-----

Wooley looked down at Commander Tooka as the Tooka meowed at him. It seemed like he wanted him to follow, so, putting down his book, he got up and followed the Tooka.
He looked in confusion as he stared at a slowly blinking Rex. "Captain?"

"I suppose you best drop the formalities," Rex sighed, "it seems Commander Tooka has decided that he needs to look after us."

"Look after us?" Wooley questioned, laying down in the nest as instructed by Commander Tooka.

"I presume so, as he just forced me to sleep," Rex sighed, laying back again at the Tooka's instructions.

"How can he force you to sleep?" Wooley asked.

"You'll be surprised," Rex muttered.

Cody looked over his Kit, patting lightly against their head to calm them down. He nuzzled against their chin, purring slowly to try and get them to continue to sleep.
You need to sleep.

"Is Commander Tooka trying to get you to keep sleeping?"

"I can only presume so," Rex sighed, relaxing his body.

Cody chirped as his Kit started to relax, so he turned towards his Verd'ika.

"Hello?" Wooley stated, unsure as the Tooka turned to face him.

Cody walked over and nuzzled against his Verd'ika's chin. Chirping to reassure them, he walked over and uncovered one of the blankets before pulling it over to his Verd'ika.
Your turn.

Wooley looked on as Commander Tooka passed him his hand-made blanket. "You want me to wrap myself up?"

Cody chirped, nuzzling against his Verd'ika's chin before sitting back to watch as one of his showed they knew how to sleep.

Rex huffed at the look Commander Tooka threw him. "I believe you are the favourite now, Wooley," Rex chuckled, "he seems quite happy that you did as you were meant to."

"What do you mean?"

"I didn't understand what he wanted," Rex shrugged, "it's been many years since Cody's forced me to sleep."

"What?"

"He helped practically raise me as a cadet, remember the stories?" Rex sighed with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, didn't realise he'd force you to sleep, that's all," Wooley answered sheepishly.

Rex sighed again when he saw the look Commander Tooka threw him. "Yes, yes, I'll sleep," he grumbled, leaning back and closing his eyes, hearing the Tooka purr happily.

Cody purred, nuzzling against his Kit's face before making sure his Verd'ika was positioned correctly to sleep. Content that he'd be able to curl around both their heads, he settled down to sleep - purring to soothe his Kit and Verd'ika to sleep.

-----

Waxer sighed; he'd managed to lose both Commander Tooka and Captain Rex. They were both meant to be attending a meeting. Some vode said Commander Tooka was with Rex; others said he was with Wooley.

Making his way towards training room 20, he could not help but laugh. He quickly snapped a holo.

-----

Commander Tooka has taken Rex's lack of sleep into his paws.

Trying to find the Tooka and Rex turned much into a hide-and-seek game that ended with finding the three of them (including Wooley) curled up on Commander Tooka's pile.
With their blinking eyes, it was evident that they had only just woken from what seemed to be a deep and settled sleep.

Note -
It seems the Commander can not help but look after the 501st late Captain - human or otherwise.

-----

Rex froze as he saw General Tooka walking down the corridor towards him. He could see how the Tooka prepared to attack. He was startled, however, when he heard a shriek come from behind him before Commander Tooka went flying at General Tooka.
His eyes widened at the fight that quickly happened before General Tooka backed away, meowing pitifully.

Cody huffed as Cin'ciri backed away. He turned and looked at his Kit, releasing a low noise to try and settle them as he rubbed his cheek against them again.
He's gone, I'm here, you're safe.

"I'm alright," Rex answered, lightly scratching the back of Commander Tooka's head as General Tooka quickly disappeared.

-----

"We should take them for a walk!" Fives stated - correction, shouted.

"And why is that?" Waxer sighed.

"Well, doesn't the outside help with healing?" Fives questioned.

"He does make a good point," Wrap groaned.

"Are you agreeing with Fives?" Waxer asked, wide-eyed.

"We did say to the vet that they have limited access to the outside," Wrap sighed, "it will do them some good."

-----

Waxer watched as Commander Tooka sniffed the ground as he was placed down. He watched as the Tooka walked around curiously before turning to face the long grass.
It was then that Waxer realised his mistake.
He could only watch as the Commander jumped and landed in the grass, disappearing with a squeal.

Obi-Wan watched Cin'ciri'ika disappear in the grass, and walking forwards; he found that he could feel his ears above the grass line.

Waxer felt everyone sigh in relief that General Tooka was too tall to disappear in the grass.
The group watched as the two Tookas played in the grass together. Commander Tooka would often suddenly appear, taking a jumping leap onto whoever the Tooka was hunting. They continued to walk, following where Commander Tooka was leading them.

Cody followed the scent of oats. Outside the grass, in front of a large pond, someone was pulling a fish out with a stick before putting them back, and the pole having white stuff attached to the end. Creeping forwards and out of the grass, Cody could smell the oats within the person's bag.
Oats!

Jado frowned; the fishing was slower than usual; it seems the fish had caught on to her traditional fishing tactics. She's was only catching small ones, nothing exciting. Out the corner of her eye, she watched as a Tooka approached from behind, sniffing at her bag.
"You looking for something?" Jado asked, lightly scratching the Tooka behind the ears.

Cody purred as the person scratched him behind the ear. Heading off towards the bucket, he grabbed some white stuff before quickly heading out to the rocks in the deeper water.
Fish, fish, fish.

Jado watched in confusion as the Tooka dropped the bread in the water and stared at it. The Tooka seemed to be waiting for something. She continued to watch before the Tooka suddenly jumped forward and proceeded to drag a fish out of the water.

Cody dragged - carefully - the fish over to the person.
Got fish, give oats.

Jado stared as the Tooka brought over a fish to her. Slowly, she reached down and picked up the fish, longer than the ones she'd been catching previously.

"Commander Tooka!"

Cody turned and looked over at Stripe as they ran over to him. He blinked over as they seemed rushed before he took to looking manually for the oats.

"Are they yours?" Jado asked, looking over as the clones ran over towards her.

"Yes," Waxer nodded, frowning as he watched Commander Tooka try and get into the person's bag, "I'm Waxer, from the 212th."

"Jado," Jado nodded, "are they looking for something in particular?"

"Do you have anything with oats in it?" Waxer asked sheepishly.

"Yes, oatmeal," Jado nodded, seeing the Tooka's ears perk up, "why?"

"Commander Tooka is a little obsessed," Waxer answered.

"I can give them some; it's just plain oatmeal if that is okay with you," Jado offered.

"You don't have to," Waxer stated.

"Well, they got me the longest fish of the day; I'd say it's a fair trade," Jado shrugged, "I'm not so fond of it anyway."

Cody purred as the person grabbed a tub from the bag, revealing it to be oats. He purred, rubbing against their arm before eating the offered oatmeal.
I'll get more fish; you supply oats.

"You've got an amateur fisher on your hands; I'd say," Jado chuckled as the Tooka shot off with more bread.

"What?"

"Well, I think they are trying to get more oatmeal," Jado chuckled again.

"Why are you so relax around us-" Waxer stopped, realising what he'd done.

"Everyone loves a Tooka," Jado smiled, focusing on the Tooka again.

-----

Cody squealed as he grabbed an even longer fish.
I got you.
However, his eyes widened as the fish fought back, pulling him into the water as his claws slid over the rocks.
You got me!

Waxer's eyes widened as he watched Commander Tooka fall into the water. He expected the Tooka to thrash about and attempt to get out the water.

Cody pushed up against the bottom of the pond before surfacing again. Moving forwards, he squealed in excitement before diving under the water.

Obi-Wan watched as Cin'ciri'ika played in the pond. Walking forwards, ignoring the startled look on everyone, he dipped his paws in before deciding that pond is water and water is bad.

Cody watched as Cin'ciri shook their paws as they backed away from the water. Getting out at the side, he squealed, jumping onto them, sending them both into the water.

Waxer quickly reached forwards, grabbing the panicking General Tooka from the water. The Tooka gripped onto him hard, shivering. He heard Commander Tooka make a questioning noise up at him. "He doesn't like water," Waxer explained, gaining a snorted reply from the other Tooka.

Cody snorted; why would he not like water? Water meant food.

Waxer raised an eyebrow as Commander Tooka continued to swim around. They were moving their whole body, almost in a snake-like fashion, their head facing the entire time forwards.

Cody grinned, seeing another fish; grabbing onto the bottom of the shallows, he launched himself towards the fish. Holding it with a claw, he pushed down, throwing himself back towards the shallows and onto the land.

Jado laughed as the Tooka brought the fish to her again. "I don't have much left," she chuckled, giving over the last of the oatmeal anyway.

Commander Tooka loves the water. He also does not understand why General Tooka does not like the water.

He also fished and gave the catches to a civilian in the trade of getting some oatmeal.

Note -
I thought Tookas didn't like water?

-----

"They are filthy," Boil stated, nose scrunching up as he saw the two Tookas.

"Commander Tooka found out his love for water and fishing, and General Tooka solidified his hate for water," Waxer sighed, "both also played in the grass and mud for quite a while afterwards."

"Well, you need to get them cleaned up; I think Stab has the materials to make a DIY shampoo for them," Book stated.

"Make them a shampoo?"

"Shampoo for humans is too harsh on their skins as it is made for the wrong PH, and that is normal shampoo, not the stuff that the GAR supplies," Book shrugged.

"Fine."

-----

Stab insisted that he was the one to wash Commander Tooka alongside Wooley. The only issue the two had was keeping the Tooka out of the water long enough to get the shampoo on them. But soon, they managed to get it all done, the Tooka sitting happy on their - recently cleaned - pillow.

It was different for Tooka Squad. Even with all of them, they were unable to get the Tooka into the water. Initially, they were able to get the person holding them soaked and getting General Tooka soaked in the process, but the Tooka grew wary, and that technique stopped working.

Commander Tooka seemed to have decided to take things into his paws; everyone decided. As General Tooka continued to spread out, clutching the side to prevent him from going into the water, Commander Tooka launched himself onto their back. Between the slippery surface and the applied shampoo, General Tooka could not keep their grip, and both Tookas fell straight into the water.

The troopers watched as Commander Tooka assisted in cleaning General Tooka, shaking the Tooka around in the water as General Tooka tried to escape. However, they quickly leapt forwards when they saw that General Tooka hadn't been up for a breathe.

"No. No drowning General Tooka, Commander Tooka," Wooley stated, picking up Commander Tooka as the Tooka released a questioning noise up at them combined with a curious look.

Cody wasn't trying to drown Cin'ciri; he was only trying to prove that water is good!
Cin'ciri isn't a fish; I know that!

"Drowning someone is bad; we don't do that, especially to our commanding officers," Wooley continued, taking Commander Tooka out of the room.

I would never!

Commander Tooka and General Tooka are not allowed to be bathed together.
There was an incident while General Tooka was being bathed that Commander Tooka jumped onto him so that he'd end up in the water.

If they were left unsupervised, potentially, General Tooka might have drowned as Commander Tooka held him underwater, shaking him about.

Note -
I do not believe it was with ill intent, but to try and get General Tooka to like water.

-----

"General, Commander, I made you these!" Tup stated.

Cody stared up at Trikar'la, watching in confusion as they grabbed two Cins to assist him.

Tup watched as the two commanding Tookas were placed in miniature armour sets designed to mick their human armour.

They watched as General Tooka was placed on the floor. General Tooka's body was tense, and he wobbled as he went to walk before falling stiffly down.

"No, up," CT-09-0094 stated, picking back up General Tooka and placing them back of their feet only for them to fall back over, "up, up, up."

"I don't think he likes it," CT-57-5752 chuckled.

"Can't get him into armour as a human, can't get him into armour as a Tooka," Tup chuckled.

Cody watched as Cin'ciri kept falling over. He blinked when he realised that he had been placed down as well. Walking forwards, he felt that while it was slightly restrictive, he still had plenty of movement. He poked Cin'ciri.
Dramatic.

Obi-Wan glared as Cin'ciri'ika poked him.

Cody snorted before leaping over Cin'ciri and poking them on the back. When they turned to look over their shoulder, he jumped over them again to prod them.

"I think the Commander likes it," CT-57-5752 chuckled.

I made a set of armour for General Tooka and Commander Tooka; it is based on their human armour.
After getting them into the armour, with assistance from CT-09-0094 and CT-57-5752, we faced a couple of issues.

General Tooka became tense when dressed in the armour and, when he was placed down, fell to his side stiffly.
When Commander Tooka was placed down, he seemed to take a feel for it before beginning to prod at General Tooka, jumping to either side so that General Tooka could not keep up.

Note -
It was almost like Commander Tooka was taking a poke at General Tooka for being so dramatic.

Extra note -
That was terrible. And I have been given the name Up for the number of times I told General Tooka up.

-----

Tup followed behind as Commander Tooka dragged General Tooka around. Both were redressed in their Tooka armour.

Obi-Wan huffed at Cin'ciri'ika, yanking himself from the other Tooka's grip. Shaking himself, he slowly walked, not enjoying the restricted movement but disagreeing with being dragged even more.

Cody could hear the clanks from the boots already, so, now without the dead weight, he ran towards the door. Narrowly avoiding the sliding metal, he continued to run straight towards where many Cins were being made to march by Arrow.

Boil watched the shinies march, wincing when one of them missed a step and hit the person behind them. He frowned when he saw one of the shinies glanced at him before stopping dead in their track, causing the rest to collide with each other behind him.

CT-57-5752 stopped dead in his track, barely noticing the rest of the squad hitting his back.

Boil turned to see whether there was anything behind him before stumbling back in shock at the sight before him. "Commander–" His brain froze for a second as he processed that the Tooka was standing on his hind legs dressed in a replica of his human armour.

Cody chirped as Arrow startled, their arm partially rising. Before showing his shaking limbs, he came back down to four legs and walked towards where the Cin's were not marching.

Up yelped as Commander Tooka took a swipe at his feet.

"You heard the Commander!" Waxer shouted, "back into formation!"

The squad quickly fell back into place, avoiding the Tooka swipes when they messed up.

"By the centre, quick, march!"

Waxer had to emit; that was one of the best marchings that unit has ever done.

-----

While having Commander Tooka appear in armour was a surprise to the training of the Shinies, it proved very productive.
He seems to have kept his ability for spotting mistakes in marching much the same as his ability to spot errors in reports.

-----

"Commander Ponds has notified me that we need to take Commander Tooka for his check-up," Wrap stated, handing over the data-pad.

"When?" Boil asked.

"In an hour, sir," Wrap stated, "said he didn't know until he got the notification saying that the appointment was today," Wrap explained.

"Very well," Boil nodded, handing back the datapad, "go collect those needed."

-----

"The head veterinarian wants to check over Commander Tooka; she mentions that the measurements taken do not add up to a Savannah cat," the vet stated, signalling over to the other person in the room.

Ponds nodded, placing down Commander Tooka. He was surprised to find that he didn't have to have his pillow with him this time.

The head vet looked over the Tooka before walking over to the side to collect a book on exotic Tookas. Skimming through, they asked, "does Commander Tooka like water?"

"Yes," Waxer nodded.

"Do they swim and fish?"

"He did, and he seemed to enjoy it," Waxer agreed.

"Going off that and the previously collected information, I believe that Commander Tooka is a Prionailurus Viverrinus, not a Felis Catus × Leptailurus Serval," the head vet stated, before explaining at the confused looks, "they are a Fishing Tooka, not a Savannah Tooka."

"That makes sense," Waxer nodded.

"It is not a surprise that they didn't know," the head vet stated, waving over to the vet, "the Savannah Tooka is expensive and a hybrid Tooka. Whereas the Fishing Tooka is an exotic species of Tooka that is vulnerable in its native environment."

The troopers in the room were falling into shock again.

"It would be a good idea to check if they are fertile and see about getting them bred," the head vet stated, "the Savannah Tooka becomes infertile after so many generations, and the Fishing Tooka is vulnerable in the wild, so there need to be as many breeding pairs as we can get. And these fur colourations and patterns I have not seen before."

Waxer frowned, "we were told that sterilisation would be the best bet."

"Which is wrong," the head vet stated, "you'd make a high amount of credits if you got kits from the Savannah Tooka, especially if they took this unique morph colouring and patterning, and the Fishing Tooka kits would help towards bringing them away from possible extinction out in the wild because of settlers taking over their land."

"You want us to breed General Tooka for credits?" Waxer asked, as shocked as the others in the room. "And Commander Tooka to save a population."

The head vet nodded.

Seeing how the clones in the room were reacting, the vet stepped in, "shall we continue with the examination?"

"Yes, let's continue," the head vet nodded.

It turns out; Commander Tooka is male!
Although, this vet did say that we should breed Commander Tooka with a "Fishing Tooka" and General Tooka with a "Savannah Tooka".

It seems if fertile, the "kits" from General Tooka would give lots of credits, and "kits" from Commander Tooka would help bring the species back from vulnerability in the wild.

-----

"They want us to breed them?!"

"You need to remember that they do not realise that they are our Commanding Officers; they only think that they are wild Tookas currently under our care and protection," Boil sighed, rubbing his forehead to try and prevent the upcoming headache.

"But-" Laser started again.

"As far as they know, they are Tookas, not humans stuck in Tooka bodies; we can not help what they are saying, as - for actual Tookas - what they are saying is true," Book sighed, gaining a thankful nod from Boil.

"At least they now realise that Commander Tooka is male," Tree sighed.

"I do believe the other vet might have been slightly reprimanded for not realising what was directly in front of them," Waxer sighed.

-----

"Do you believe that we will be able to change them now?" Mace asked, trying to ignore how a chunk of the council had left the room to go down to the barracks. It seems they wanted to see the two Tookas themselves.
Even his Commander had disappeared down there.

Cody stared silently while the Generals cooed over Cin'ciri. They didn't seem to be acting very mature if Cody could say anything about it.
He released a startled noise as he felt a pair of arms wrap around him.

"Come on, Commander Tooka, I'm sure Fox would love to see you like this," Ponds stated as he picked up Commander Tooka.

"We believe that they'll be able to, yes," Boil nodded.

"We'll need a couple of hours to set up the ritual," Mace nodded, "I'll comm you when it's ready."

"Yes, sir," Waxer stated moments before the comm shut off.

Ponds was stopped at the door as one of the troopers from the 501st walked through with a crate. Their name was Tup, if the memory of drunken Rex was correct.

"I got their armour; I'm sure they'd love to see them in their armour," Tup stated.

Ponds startled as a trooper took Commander Tooka from his hands.

CT-57-5752 quickly grabbed Commander Tooka and set to work getting the armour onto the almost grinning Tooka.

Ponds startled again as an armour dressed Commander Tooka was dropped back into his arms.

"There you go, sir," CT-57-5752 grinned.

Ponds hates having to deal with the 501st and 212th sometimes.

-----

Cody squealed as he saw Gedin'la and Striil. Striil was standing next to a sitting Gedin'la.

Fox frowned before looking up from his report to see Ponds approaching, holding a Tooka dressed up in a miniature set of Cody's armour

Wolfie walked forwards, grabbing the Tooka from Ponds. "Is this–"

Cody squealed again as Striil held him face-to-face. He gave him an affectionate headbutt.

Wolfie groaned, holding his nose, blinking back his tears. "That's our vod'ika."

Cody made an upset noise when he realised he'd hurt Striil.

"You forgot you had armour on," Wolfie explained when he heard the noise.

"How about we take it off while he does that," Fox stated, standing and grabbing the Tooka.

Cody watched as Gedin'la placed him on the desk.

Fox had just removed the first plate of armour when the Tooka released an ear-piercing scream. He clutched at his ears for a moment before quickly removing the rest of the armour too quick for the Tooka to scream again.

Cody released a low whine before he noticed a jug of water on the corner of the desk.

Ponds chuckled as Cody jumped into the jug of water.

Fox quickly jumped to his feet, grabbing his 'pads away from the spilt water. "Does he always cause such a fuss?"

"He's caused such fusses even as a human," Wolfie stated.

The room's atmosphere was broken when Ponds' comm chirped to life, Commander Tooka looking over at the noise.

"Commander, we need you to look after General Tooka; he's made a little bit of chaos," Waxer's voice came over the comm, "and it was decided to keep them together while they are Tookas."

"I'm up at Fox's office; you'll need to send someone over with General Tooka," Ponds stated.

"I've sent members of Tooka Squad up to your location."

"Copy that," Ponds stated, facing Fox with a look of glee in his eyes.

Fox already dreaded the forms that would have to be filled in because of this.

-----

Fox underestimated how much work it would make. The two managed to capture the attention of every available member of the guard.
Except that they did not know that those Tookas were humans in the body of Tookas.

It was fascinating how everything fell apart at the seams because of two Tookas.

-----

"So, how do we do this?" Up asked, carrying the wiggling General Tooka.

"A laser," Laser grinned, pulling the laser out.

"And I have the blankets and robes," CT-57-5752 stated.

"At least we haven't run into any other Tookas," Tree said while holding the calm Commander Tooka.

"And this is why I can not believe that Tooka Squad was made into ARCs," Waxer sighed as he spotted a group of Tookas in the distance. "Pick up the pace!" He quickly ordered.

-----

"So, how eventful was it?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Well– at one point, we were told not to allow you to breed, another point we were told to breed you," Waxer grinned.

Cody sighed.

"Oh, and the Commander nearly drowned you at one point, General," Waxer then added.

Cody sighed again as everyone looked over at himself.

There is an alternate universe/version of this where Commander Tooka was pregnant. It is under the book Mama Commander Tooka.
