New Diary Entry (1/2)
Cody felt himself blackout momentarily as his back slammed into the rockface; he swore as he watched Obi-Wan go flying, rolling across the floor in unconsiousness.
They'd separated from the rest of the group after Obi-Wan had gone tree jumping at the end of the battle. Waxer and Boil reassured him the clean up was fine and that they could take some moments off; it still didn't feel right.
But Obi-Wan needed the time to relax more than the feeling.
He still wished he went with the feeling: especially when he saw the glowing eyes in the distance coming for Obi-Wan.
-----
"Sirs, hasn't General Kenobi and Commander Cody meant to have reported back by now?"
Waxer turned from the report he was writing to look over at the trooper. He was a part of Tooka Squad, he noted. "I'm sure there is a reason, and the General needs the space for the Tooka to calm, as you know."
Laser shuffled his feet before going ramrod straight, "they were meant to report in hours ago."
Waxer stood up, placing the datapad down with a little more force than strictly needed. "How long have they been gone?"
"Four and counting, Tree has gone out with the rest of the squad in the direction they were last seen heading," Laser stated, "they have comms on them."
"Good," Waxer nodded, "we need to set out other groups."
-----
"Medic to Seven Trill Forn Jenth Four Six Six Eight Two Six Six Four. Medic to Seven Trill Forn Jenth Four Six Six Eight Two Six Six Four. Two unconscious, landmine explosions, impact and animal attack. Medic to Seven Trill Forn Jenth Four Six Six Eight Two Six Six Four."
-----
"By the scratches, I've been able to tell that the two of them were attacked by Tookas," Wrap stated, "this might be because the Tookas took them as easy prey."
"How are both of them?"
"The bacta on hand took care of most of the injuries; the Commander seemed to have been protecting the General and would have been more seriously hurt without his armour," Wrap sighed, "but the Commander has bruised ribs on his right side though, from being thrown presumably into the wall from the landmine. He'll need about a week of bacta treatment for those."
"Do we have to worry about a transformation happening?" Waxer asked.
"I do not know; we have no proof of how these transformations happen," Wrap stated.
"Didn't General Kenobi bite General Skywalker before?"
"No, I checked it over; there was no skin break," Wrap sighed, "he was telling him off, not doing damage. The blood was from General Kenobi's mouth; he bit his tongue before when he was hissing."
"Let's just focus on what we do know," Waxer sighed.
-----
"Why are you stripping them?" Boil asked, entering the gunship.
"We don't know if they will transform," Waxer shrugged.
"Nore do we know what transforming in full armour will do," Wrap stated, "the General previously was out of his armour already."
"So it was a Tooka attack," Boil groaned.
"Sadly."
-----
The gunship occupants startled as they crossed into the destroyer; Cody screamed out, clutching his side. They watched as both General and Commander curled into themselves, transforming.
Soon, they were faced with the familiar white and brown striped Tooka of General Tooka. And the unfamiliar sight of a pale white and sunset orange striped Tooka that could only be Commander Tooka.
"It's not exclusive to Force-sensitives then."
Wrap snorted, moving forwards to where Commander Tooka was curled up. He wasn't prepared for General Tooka to jump the distance, hissing at him. "Whoa, easy," Wrap stated, hurrying back from the slashing claws.
"Is the General trying to defend the Commander?" Waxer asked, moving away when the Tooka started to slash at him.
"Do Tookas do that?" Boil questioned.
"I do believe we'll need Book for some assistance," Wrap groaned.

Why is it a 'diary' its a log!
Anyway, as you can all read and heard, there has been another Tooka incident. General Kenobi and Commander Cody have been transformed into Tookas.
We, as a collective, have decided to record the happenings. This is for anyone to read, edit and record within. (Don't be formal! Looking at you, Wrap!)
Currently, the two are being checked over by Wrap in medical, so not much for the logs - except General Tooka attacked us when we reached for Commander Tooka.
General Tooka looks much the same as before. With white fur and brown stripes.
However, Commander Tooka is a pale white with faded sunset orange stripes and markings.
Note -
Is there some instinct to protect someone who is injured?
-----
"Okay, here we go," Wrap muttered, ignoring how both Tookas were trying their hardest to bite through the kevlar gloves to no prevail.
Cody whimpered as Aaray prodded at his injuries. Trying to curl up, he let go of his hold on the captive fingers to try to tuck his head away. He cried out as Aaray moved his head and held it in place.
"Shh, I know, it hurts," Wrap cooed, "but I need to look at it. I would help with the pain, but we don't have the measurements for your body now."
Obi-Wan growled, clamping down harder only to reel back as fabric filled his mouth.
"I'll be getting to you soon, General," Wrap stated, moving the Tooka as they tried to rid their tongue of the kevlar's taste.
Obi-Wan wailed as he felt the gloves pick him up in Cin'ciri'ika's place.

I completed the two's examination—bruised ribs on Commander Tooka, nothing more than a few scratches on General Tooka.
Commander Tooka will need time to rest and recover, preferably on something soft.
General Tooka has kept his average length and height; however, Commander Tooka is longer and but shorter. But Commander Tooka is slightly broader and more round around the stomach and chest area - enough that it is noticeable as the Tooka moves around from a distance.
There seems to be no known reason for this; however, it would be wise to keep track.
Note -
The kevlar gloves came to great use.
-----
"Wait, when did Wrap have kevlar gloves?"
"Better question. Why?"
-----
"Here, Commander, this might be better for your side," Waxer stated, lowering the pale Tooka to the blankets.
Cody looked at the soft materials beneath him. It did sit nicer against his side. He watched as Stripe backed up slightly, cocking his head as the man seemed to become sad.
Waxer frowned, quickly heading to the supply closet and coming back with a few pillows. Lifting Cody with the top blanket, Waxer set the pads up in a triangle, a dip in the middle - small enough to support Cody, big enough to leave enough pillow to wrap around him.
Cody looked at the pillows that surrounded him as he was settled back down. Reaching out, he padded against the surface, purring slightly as it was soft and spongy beneath his paws.
Waxer's lips twitched as he heard Cody purr slightly before the Tooka fell asleep.

I settled both for the evening in training room 20. Both have three pillows and a blanket.
Commander Tooka has a second blanket through medical reasoning.
Note -
Commander Tooka seemed pleased the pillows were soft and squidgy. It might be better for his injuries, keep track of the happenings.
-----
Obi-Wan blinked awake, his side aching as he fell from his pillows. Looking around, he saw Cin'ciri'ika dragging one of his pads away.
Cody stilled, the pillow held in his mouth before he continued to drag it to his pile of soft stuff. Pulling it into the bundle, he settled it centrally. Padding it slightly, he whined at how stiff it was. Stretching out, he slowly started to knead the cushion, grabbing it with his claws.
Obi-Wan slowly walked over, watching as Cin'ciri'ika kneaded the pillow. He let out a questioning sound, placing one paw against the outside of the pile.
Cody stiffened, hissing until the other Tooka had backed away from his pile. He stayed stiff and glaring until Cin'ciri had settled on the bundle away from him.
Obi-Wan flattened himself on his pillows, making himself as least threatening as possible. Slowly he watched as Cin'ciri'ika calmed down; chirping slightly, he drifted off to sleep.
-----
Waxer frowned, sharing a look with Boil as one of the shinies dragged them towards where the Commander and General were being kept.
"Why does General Tooka only have two pillows and Commander Tooka have four, sirs?" The shiny asked the moment he'd dragged them through the door.
"He did not have that many yesterday," Boil stated before seeing the piles.
Waxer raised his eyebrows as he looked at the two Tookas, "but he does now," he laughed. "You think the Commander took one of them from the General?"
"Well, they don't seem to have their memory, so possibly?" Boil offered.
Waxer sighed back his laugh, walking to crouch in front of Cody. "Commander, can I have that back? That is meant to be General Kenobi's," he asked.
Cody cried out, trying to grab out at his pillow as he was lifted. He cried out again, scratching at the air as his pad was taken away from his pile. He watched as Arrow placed it on the other Tooka's bundle.
That was his pillow! Not Cin'ciri's.
Obi-Wan walked over from where he was trying to climb Shiny to where Shape had given him one of his pillows. Butting it with his head, he settled onto it, tail flicking happily.
Cody hissed slightly at how solid it felt beneath him suddenly. He settled uncomfortably, tail tucked against his side as he rested his head against his paws.
Waxer frowned at Cody's change in body posture. It got worse when the Commander started to release a low whine.
Obi-Wan tried to ignore the cries, but soon, he found himself rising to his feet and dragging the pillow over to Cin'ciri'ika.
Cody felt his ears pick up as Cin'ciri walked over with his pillow. Purring slightly, he got up and grabbed the offered pad and placed it back in its place. Kneading the pillow, he purred, rubbing his cheek against it as he settled down. Looking over at Cin'ciri, Cody purred slightly before shaking his head and curling up to sleep.
Waxer stared with an open mouth at the interaction.
"Did the Commander just emotionally blackmail the General?" Boil asked, equally slack-mouthed.
"I think he did," the shiny muttered in the background.

It turns out, Tooka's can be emotionally blackmailed.
Commander Tooka, through the night, stole a pillow from General Tooka. When we returned said pad, Commander Tooka started to cry out until General Tooka gave it over.
He seemed happy with the pillow if his purrs were anything to go off.
Note -
Make sure Commander Tooka has extra pillows.
Extra note -
No one, and I mean no one, can resist Commander Tooka when he starts his emotional blackmail.
-----
"Can you distract the General? He's annoying the Commander," Waxer stated, placing the Tooka on the floor in front of Tooka Squad.
By the time Tree had opened his mouth, the Lieutenant had left the room. Looking down, he watched as General Tooka placed one paw on his knee, "now, what to do with you."
Cam grinned, pulling out his recorder as he noticed Laser pull out the laser pointer.
Obi-Wan slowly lowered himself down, eyes locked onto the prey. Shifting his hips until he was at the correct angle, he pounced forwards, his talons snapping down on–
–empty air?
Ah-ha! There it was! Just out of reach. It was taunting him!
Without giving it time to prepare, Obi-Wan sprung forwards again, giving chase as it danced across the floor.
Tooka Squad bit back their laughs as they watched General Tooka jump and ran around the room. It completely distracted him and seemed to provide enjoyment for the Tooka.
-----
Waxer settled down within the training area, working on the reports while watching the injured Commander Tooka. He'd just got halfway through one of the forms when he felt claws jump onto his lap.
Looking down, Waxer was met with the curious face of Commander Tooka. The Tooka released a questioning noise before looking over at the datapad, one paw resting on Waxer's arm. "Is there something you want, Commander?"
Cody looked up at Stripe before looking back at the 'pad. He nudged the furless' paw before nudging the 'pad again.
"You want me to continue the report?" Waxer asked, eyebrows raising in his surprise.

Commander Tooka can pull off Commander Cody's 'are you serious?' glare. It is more potent now that there is a Tooka face behind it.
Note -
He seems to have kept the ability to understand reports, made it clear when he believes there is a mistake made.
-----
Cody brushed his tail against the person as he walked into the room. He felt a few of them brush their hands against his back as he moved next to them.
The troopers in the room smiled as Commander Tooka walked through the room, each happy to give a light pet to the Tooka's back.
Cody purred as he reached his target; standing up on his hind legs, he bit the blanket tightly before yanking. Once the material was freed, he backed out of the room.
This is mine now.
The room was silent as Commander Tooka left with his stolen good. The men were not sure what to do.
"Wait, who is going to tell Wooley that the Commander stole his blanket?"
-----
"Aww," Wooley cooed as he watched the Commander slowly arrange his blanket into the sort of nest.
"You're not- upset?"
"Why would I?" Wooley asked, smiling as Commander Tooka purred happily.
"He stole the blanket you made."
"Just look how happy he is," Wooley almost squealed.
-----

Commander Tooka can get away with anything, even murder.
Today, he walked blatantly into the main barracks, stole Wooley's hand-made blanket, and walked right back out.
There were almost a dozen men present at the time.
And, Wooley is excellent with it, saying how happy the Commander looked as he added it to his pile.
His pile seems to be rapidly growing.
Note -
That pillow he stole from General Tooka still seems to be his favourite.
-----
Cody purred as Cin'ciri approached with another offer. Already the added pillows and blankets had helped make his pile into a nest. Within the other Tooka's mouth was a sunset orange blanket.
Reaching out, Cody took the blanket, pulling it to the edge of the nest. Pawing it lightly, he tested how soft it was, and, finding it satisfactory, he rubbed his cheek over it, getting his scent over the material.
Obi-Wan watched as Cin'ciri'ika arranged his offering over the nest, settling within the middle of the pile. Curiously, he walked forwards, placing a paw on the side. When he got no more reaction than a sharp look, he stepped onto the nest.
Cody watched warily as Cin'ciri settled in his nest. Snarling slightly when the Tooka got too close, he shifted so that he was more comfortable as he watched the other slowly fall asleep before allowing sleep to grab him as well.
-----
"Wait, what?" Cam spluttered, looking over the recording. "Was the General just allowed into the Commander pile?"
"I think it is more of a nest at this point," Tree muttered.
"By calling it a nest, you are suggesting something of the Commander," Book stated.
"What?" Tree asked.
Book winced, "you don't want to know."
-----
"You're saying that both General Kenobi and Commander Cody are Tookas?" Mace asked, pinching the bridge of his nose as he felt a headache form.
"We have a log currently being kept of them, so, in case this happens again–"
Mace only just stopped himself from snorting at that statement. Of course, it was going to happen again.
"–we'll have an easier way to keep things for future reference - and it is keeping morale up while both commanding officers are out of commission."
"I presume we need to set up the ritual again?" Mace sighed; that headache was quickly becoming a Kenobi-migraine.
"No, sir," Waxer stated, looking down at the report in his hand, "we need to have Commander taken to a veterinary."
Mace could feel the moment Pond's attention snapped completely onto the holo. "The veterinary?"
"While Wrap can handle most species injuries, he does not feel comfortable dealing with the Commander's ribs, sir. While he believes they are only bruised, he can not be too certain," Waxer stated, "add on having the injuries during the transformation? We don't know whether anything further has been caused."
"I'll schedule a meeting at the veterinary for when you arrive at Coruscant," Mace nodded, "I presume something has happened to Obi-Wan that needs him checking over before he needs to be transformed?"
"No, sir, but, in light of how Tooka's can attach themselves through trama," Waxer said, "we do not believe that for separating them would be in their best interest."
"Very well," Mace sighed, ending the comm.
"General, I'll be able to help escort the group down to the veterinary," Ponds stated.
"Are you trying to gather information on the late Commander, Ponds?" Mace asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Of course not, General. I'd never do that to my vod'ika."
"Just get holos of Obi-Wan as well," Mace sighed, watching as a grin covered Ponds' face.
-----
Cody purred when he saw Pel approach. He tried reaching out for the man, the person holding him laughing.
Ponds watched as one of the Tooka's reached out towards him as he approached. He could recognise the other Tooka walking on the floor as General Kenobi, so the one being held must be Cody. "Is this Cody?" He asked, reaching out to the white and orange Tooka.
"It is," Waxer nodded, holding out the Tooka once the attempts to reach the Commander grew too much.
Ponds held his vod'ika tentatively between his hands, watching as the Tooka rubbed his cheek over his chest plate.
Cody rubbed his cheek against Pel, wanting to make sure that he smelt like him as well. His eyes widened, though, as he felt Pel start to walk away. Turning back, he began to scratch at where his pillow was being taken away from him.
Ponds eyed Cody in confusion as the Tooka seemed to panic as he started to walk away.
"He just wants his pillow," Waxer reassured, giving the pillow over to Cody, watching the Tooka settled on top of it, "he thinks we keep trying to take it away from him."
"Why?"
"We took it from him before," Waxer winced.
"What? Why?" Ponds asked, holding Cody and the pillow closer.
See Pel understands!
Cody huffed, rubbing his cheek against Pel's chest again.
"The Commander stole the pillow from General Kenobi," Boil stated, "when we gave it back, he used emotional blackmail to make General Kenobi give it back. He's been protective of it ever since."
"Cody stole the pillow from General Kenobi?" Ponds asked, not sure whether he heard it correctly.
"The Commander has got very good at getting things from people," Waxer stated, "he sleeps on this nest of soft blankets and pillows. He keeps adding to the pile."
"He sleeps in a nest?"
"We think it helps with his wounds," Waxer shrugged, "it keeps him happy, so we've let him."
Ponds chuckled before his comm beeped; glancing down, he saw the alert. "We have to get going. Otherwise, we'll miss the appointment."
-----
"Which is the one that has the wounds?" The vet asked as he saw the men enter with two Tookas and not one.
"This one," Ponds stated, placing Cody on the table.
"And the other?"
"Oh, we've found it difficult to separate them, so we thought it easier to bring him along instead," Waxer explained, picking up General Tooka.
"Do they have names?" The vet asked.
"Oh, the one on the table we called Commander Tooka, whereas this one is called General Tooka," Waxer stated, shuffling his hold on General Tooka.
"Military names should have expected that," the vet mumbled, "I'm going to inspect both; as you mentioned, they came from a battlefield."
"Of course," Boil nodded.
"Can I have some room then?" The vet asked, amused.
The three troopers blushed but quickly backed away from the table.
Cody watched as his pillow was taken. Crying out, he tried to reach towards Pel and the pad.
That was his!
The vet quickly reached across the table before the pale Tooka tried to jump.
Cody screamed out as a set of hands tried to stop him from grabbing his pillow. Turning around as best he could, he slashed out with his claws, trying to get the man to release him.
Unhand me! Its mine! Di'kut!
Ponds' eyes widened before he quickly strode forwards and placed the pillow on the table next to Cody. He watched as the Tooka calmed before trying to reach the pad.
"He's a little possessive over the pillow, sorry," Waxer apologised.
"Oh? And how did they come across this pillow?" The vet asked, releasing the Tooka.
That's right, Di'kut!
Waxer replied as the Commander bound over to rest on his pillow. "It was originally General Tooka's, but he took it, even when we returned it, he found a way to get the other to return it to his nest-like structure."
"The Tooka has a nest?"
"It started small, but he's built it up with stolen materials," Boil nodded.
"Oh, and General Tooka keeps giving him things for it," Waxer added.
"Well, I think your Commander Tooka," the vet started, running a hand over the Tooka's back, "is a she."
I'm a he, Di'kut!
The troopers brains malfunctioned.
"It would explain some of the Tookas' behaviours."
"What?"
"Well, was General Tooka protective?"
"Very, our medic had to wear Kevlar gloves to be able to check over Commander Tooka," Waxer stated.
"I'd like to run some extra tests to Commander Tooka; it won't add much time," the vet stated.
"No worries."
-----
"I've got the measurements needed for a basic file," the vet stated, "I'm going to start the further tests. Commander Tooka might freak out a little."
"How might the Tooka freak?" Boil asked.
"Well, I'm going to apply some gel, and it might be a little cold," the vet explained, "many don't like it."
"Why do you need to apply some gel?" Waxer asked.
"I've not sexed the Tooka yet, but everything adding up for the Tooka to be female," the vet explained, "with their size, they should have a mass around five and a half kilograms, but they have a mass nearing over six kilograms."
So what if I have more mass? I eat well!
"So?"
"The average litter of this species of Tooka is two kittens, adding around two kilograms of mass," the vet stated, "however, in early stages, this might come up as less - even only as no visual on the screen and preliminary fat gain."
"You think Commander Tooka is expecting kittens?" Ponds spluttered.
"I do believe so, yes," the vet nodded.
I'm a he! Di'kut!
The room was silent except for the purring of Cody as he rubbed himself happily against his pillow.
"So, I am just checking to see whether this prognosis is correct," the vet stated, "it is quick and straightforward to do."
"I- okay?"
The vet hummed in amusement, grabbing the needed machine and gel to check.
Cody screeched as he felt something slimy touch him; it was freezing! Trying to scramble away, he felt a pair of hands pick him up.
No, no, no!
The vet slowly laid the struggling Tooka on their side, gradually applying more of the gel.
"Is this necessary?"
"If she is expecting, it limits what I can give her for her ribs," the vet explained, running a hand down the Tooka's back in an attempt to calm them, "if she is not, then I'd highly recommend getting them sterilised."
Die, die, die.
"Sterilised?!" The troopers screeched in sync.
"Well, Coruscant is currently experiencing an overpopulation of Tookas," the vet explained, "while the pair is fine examples of their species and would have wonderful litters, we don't want to make any situations worse."
The vet had no idea how bad he was breaking the men's minds.
"Ah, no," the vet cooed, "don't bite that." He pulled the scanner away from the Tooka's jaw but allowed the Tooka to sniff it. "That better?" He asked, seeing the Tooka reluctantly calm down.
Cody calmed, sending a glare at the weird machine. He huffed, turning his head away, tail thumping the table in the annoyance of the hand pinning him down.
The wand still had to die.
"Easy," the vet calmed, "it might feel weird, but it will be over quickly. This one is more powerful, so I don't have to shave some of your beautiful fur coat."
Cody could not help but whine as he felt the machine press against his stomach. It didn't feel right, and he wanted it away.
"I know, I know," the vet cooed, turning on the holoprojector. He hummed, checking the flickering blue holo. "Well, congrats," the vet started.
'The kriff?!' The troopers thought, freezing.
"The Tooka is not expecting."
'Oh, thank the Manda!'
"I'm just going to check the Tooka's ribs, be prepared for the other Tooka to react as it may hurt slightly," the vet warned.
Cody hissed when he felt more of the slimy stuff be applied but on his hurt side. When the machine pressed down, he could not help whimper as his chest quickly protested. It was an ache, but as it shifted, it insisted on a point that felt like he was being stabbed, and he could not help but cry out.
Obi-Wan growled, trying to reach the machine so that it would not hurt Cin'ciri'ika anymore. He tried scratching, but the one holding him was too strong.
"Mm, yes, a minor fracture to one of the ribs," the vet stated, moving the machine away, "I would not be surprised if there is bruising as well."
"But, Commander Tooka has shown no sign of obvious discomfort or pain," Waxer pointed out, "the Tooka keeps jumping and raising to two legs."
"Battle-side Tookas can have amazing pain tolerances, often to a dangerous point," the vet explained, humming slightly, "a lot of it is self-defence. The weakest are targeted. And a target is food."
"The Tooka is doing it because they don't want to seem weak and a target?"
"Commander Tooka probably does not know when they do it," the vet shrugged, "instinctual since being a kitten."
"Since being a kitten?" Waxer asked.
"There are many behaviours that come from being a kitten," the vet explained, "kneading is from where a kitten is suckling. They often continue this behaviour when they are happy."
"Commander Tooka often purrs and kneads the pillows," Waxer stated.
The vet chuckled, "then you've made a place that keeps this Tooka happy."
Cody chirped when he felt the hand release him. He was still covered in that slimy stuff, but he could reach his pillow now.
"I am prescribing a set of painkillers and minimal movement," the veterinary said, "please come back in a few weeks so that I can check how Commander Tooka is recovering."
"Alright," Waxer nodded as Ponds moved and picked up Cody and the Tooka's pillow.

Congratulations! Commander Tooka is not expecting kittens (tubies) with General Tooka!
After a basic check over them, the vet commented that Commander Tooka weighs more than 'she' should for 'her' size and did an ultrasound to see whether Commander Tooka was pregnant.
Commander Tooka has had painkillers prescribed and to appear at the vets again later on.
-----
Tooka Squad blinked as they read over the latest entry to the log. Why would there be the need to check whether the Commander was expecting tubies? They were both males.

"Why is Commander Tooka's gender undetermined?" Tree asked, "he's male; the vet should be able to work that out."
A voice cut in from behind him, spooking him.
"Because he was so hung up on Commander Tooka being female, he didn't necessarily check the genders," Waxer stated, "he was more focused on their health."
"I guess that makes sense," Tree nodded, "but that is not the medical practice they have been trained for."
"I believe he is stressed due to the 'infestation' of Tookas on Coruscant," Waxer sighed.
"And he thought the General and Commander would add to that," Stroke giggled.
"Hey, watch it, shiny!" Waxer barked.
