Chapter Twenty: Emotional Outburst
<TW> uncontrolled emotions, blood, mention of violence, gore(?)
<CW> fluff(?), angst
Change of plans, adding in this new video too! And altering it a bit! C:
I'm making it an aftermath now though :]
A short one-
[MAIN PLOT BY Roxy-Rox0 ]
Pearl had attacked. But before that Impulse and Gem were sent in to fetch captured people. And before that the journey was made.
Why was Zedaph recounting what happened earlier that day? He should be focusing on the present. The Being was angry, they shoved Pearl back and turned to Zedaph.
Oh that's right, Zedaph's arm was bleeding. A lot. His sleeve was torn and soaked in red. His eyes were huge and shocked. Was he supposed to feel that way?
Impulse always just ignored his injuries, same with Iskall. Why couldn't Zedaph stop staring in horror then?
Oh, the Being was dragging him away. Ren and Xisuma were busy breaking a green dome that was placed over Pearl. It was weak magic. Just a little distraction.
Impulse and Gem probably already completed their part of the mission now. Was the Being disappointed in his performance? It was pathetic. Zedaph froze up when Pearl cut his arm. Gem would've shouted and attacked back.
Zedaph felt guilt starting to weigh in his chest, only adding onto the pain he felt from his wound. He shouldn't be feeling like this, right?
The Being stopped in a clearing and looked back at Zedaph, looking him up and down quizzically. They were probably thinking the same things as Zedaph.
Example: why was he so pathetic? Why did he freeze? Why does he feel this way?
He wanted the pain to go away.
He wanted the pain to stay so that he could suffer.
He wanted to cry.
He shouldn't be able to, not with the Being's growing power.
Zedaph didn't know what to do. So he just looked down in shame. But that only confused the Being more, and maybe even made the entity worried.
"Zedaph?" The Being said, wanting to get a good look at the blonde's eyes, to check their colour.
Zedaph glanced up for a moment and quickly dipped his head again to stare at his shoes. He sniffled, and his shoulders heaved a bit involuntarily. Zedaph's eyes became glassy and his shoulders heaved with a sniffle again.
"Zedaph-" the Being started more sternly, getting more confused, and a bit concerned. But Zedaph cut him off.
Zedaph's eyes watered and he looked up at the being. Their eyes widened as tears fell down Zedaph's face and he cried out.
"I'm sorry!" Zedaph cried, his voice cracking a bit as he sobbed.
The Being stared in shock as emotions overwhelmed the goat hybrid in front of them.
Zedaph felt horrible, but some of the emotions seemed foreign too. He felt sorry for himself, but he also felt alone, he felt like a disappointment. That wasn't all him, was it?
The Being seemed to freeze as Zedaph cried out for no one in particular, their mind drew blank and didn't know what was going on.
The Being awkwardly took a step closer to the goat hybrid. I mean, they needed to do something, right?
The Being pulled Zedaph closer and let him muffle his tears in their arm, awkwardly wrapping their other arm around Zedaph's shoulders and head.
Zedaph cried until his throat hurt from sobs and small screams and until his eyes were burned dry.
The whole time the Being stared wide eyed at a nearby tree, unsure what was happening and what was going on. Only letting Zedaph release the emotions that had overwhelmed him.
When Zedaph was done he stayed there, his own eyes wide and confused, maybe a bit horrified, from the sudden emotional outburst.
"I see myself in you." The Being muttered to themself, their mask helping to suppress the sound.
Zedaph didn't hear, and the Being was glad for that.

Like Roxy's video says..
... This wasn't a ship...
Just a little lore-y, angsty, kind of fluffy moment that I really enjoyed writing!
This was technically just an extra video, but it was amazing! And I knew how to add it, sooo...
Yup.
Hope you enjoyed! Got quite a few chapters out in a short amount of time! :D
