Welcome To Hell
The uniform feels a little too loose, though they didn't have enough time to make it in my size. They mistook me for someone... stronger.
That hurt, but I'm not nervous.
I stand here in front of Demon High Academy. Also known as DHA. It's too difficult to pronounce in human language though.
Thankfully we'll learn Demonos here.
I was chosen as one of the many signed up humans to be exchanged.
Two humans would go to the Devildom, two humans to the Celestius.
And so two demons went to Earth and Celestius, and two angels vise versa.
I'm not nervous. Not at all.
I have my friend with me, Yeosang. My favorite boy ever since the beginning of our high school.
We stay for one semester. The senior year. We do exams in the Devildom and then they decide whether we stay or go back home.
Yeosang wants to go home. He has a family to go back to.
Me too, but I don't know this place yet so I don't want to jump to any conclusions yet.
Unlike Yeosang, who looks absolutely beautiful in his uniform, I'm forced to wear one size bigger.
Yeosang keeps telling me I look good, but I doubt it.
My uniform feels too big around my chest and the sleeves are like sweater paws. My skirt, which should drop to my lower thighs, almost goes over my knees, and I had to go without the stockings because they constantly dropped. Thankfully they had my shoe size.
I quickly fix my high ponytail and hold Yeosang's hand as we walk inside. I can feel his hands shaking and it squeezes mine to death almost.
The doors are dramatically big, but nonetheless, we can open them.
There is no one in the hallway, class must have started. But the time we had to arrive... I was just a few seconds late!
"Ah! You must be the exchange students!" A cheery voice greets us.
I look up to see a man, maybe a demon... For sure a demon. He smiles widely at us and is dressed in the same uniform as us, just in red instead of black.
"My name is Baekhyun, welcome to DHA!" He greets us.
I smile and bow politely, whilst Yeosang does the same, but less deep and shakier.
"I've never seen a real human before! You look very cute for my liking!"
"Flattery will get you nowhere, Baekhyun." Another voice chuckles.
I didn't even notice him. He was so quiet and observing...
The boy moves his position to stand next to Baekhyun and crosses his arms in an arrogant way, staring down at us.
His black eyes are outlined with a red gradient, his pupil barely separated from his iris. His hair is pitch black and parted to the right side of his face, matching the look of his posture.
Dark and dominant, yet prideful.
"Come on now Seokjin!" Baekhyun laughs. "Loosen up! They're new!"
"And no exception to the other students." The demon, Seokjin, responds.
Yeosang is shaking visibly, his poor body trembling under Seokjin's heavy stare.
"I hope you two are not like my brothers." The demon mutters.
Baekhyun rolls his eyes playfully. "Anyway. This is Seokjin, he's the demon of Pride!"
"There is no need for them to know. I'm sure they figured out."
Yeosang tilts his head. "No... We didn't?" It's more of a confused question to Seokjin, who gives him the same cold glare he gave us before.
It's... intimidating.
"As you say," Seokjin mutters, his voice a deep rumble as he looks away from us.
Baekhyun smiles. "I remember you bringing your D.D.P's?"
We both nod, revealing our phones. Devildom Devilcon Phones.
Our normal ones wouldn't work in this dimension... realm.
Baekhyun takes both of them and sets each other's numbers in them, his own, and one that - when he gives it back - is named Seokjin.
"Why do I have to contact Seokjin? If you don't mind me asking, of course." I ask.
"Of course!" Baekhyun smiles. "Since you two will be split up for the time possible for you both to get a different experience of the Devildom, you will be living in the House of Lamentation with Seokjin and his brothers!"
Yeosang's face turns white and he shakes his head vigorously. "No! No, no, no! I don't want to be split from Jaein!"
Baekhyun's smile falls slightly. "Oh? I didn't think you two would be so close... I guess even I have a lot to learn about humans. I'll see if I can change the program, but that'll take a while. Will it be okay for now if I place you with the angels?" He asks quickly, scratching the back of his neck.
Yeosang looks at me with wide eyes, biting his lip and squeezing my hand. I smile at him, giving him a comforting nod.
He gulps nervously before nodding as well. "With the angels is fine..."
Baekhyun lets out a sigh of relief and smiles widely. "I'm glad! I'll try to fix the program as soon as I can!"
Seokjin just nods. "I hope my brothers won't be a bother."
Almost as if on cue, another voice calls out, happily, slightly irritated.
"Hyung! Where did you put my Poison Apples! Or at least my Gore Pizza!"
"Tae." Seokjin growls. "As I said, I don't want you eating out the entire fridge."
"But I'm hungry!"
"You're always hungry!" Seokjin snaps.
Out comes a boy, almost as tall as Seokjin, messy and spiky orange hair falling over his eyes, his eyes not really matching the color, but the temperature.
His eyes are a light brown, with a with a purple and pink gradient.
Compared to Seokjin, he looks a lot more colorful.
Baekhyun lights up at the appearance of the demon, smiling at him
"Taehyung!"
"Hyun, you wouldn't so happen to know where Seok hid my food, do you?" The demon, Taehyung asks, holding his stomach. "I'm so empty!"
"I don't, I'm sorry Tae." Baekhyun frowns slightly with a pout.
I quickly dig through my pocket and fish out a pink lollipop, holding it out to the demon.
"I have a lollipop for you! Do you want it?"
He immediately snatches it from my grasp and pops it in his mouth after peeling the wrapper off, moaning at the taste.
"This is so good! What taste is this?!" He grabs my shoulders and shakes me, yet gently with a smile, the lollipop hidden between his lips.
"It's strawberry!"
"What is a strawberry? Does it taste good?!"
"To me, yeah." I smile at him.
"Is it like Bloodberry?"
"What's that?"
"IT'S THE BEST THING YOU'LL EVER TASTE!" He yells. "I knew you were a good human!"
Yeosang seems terrified, our hands forced to part because of Taehyung's movement.
I can only laugh when Taehyung releases me and happily suckles on the lollipop I gave him.
Seokjin looks irritated and he groans when a sweet voice joins the group.
Both of our heads turn to the caramel-pinkish blonde-haired boy who comes hopping towards us, a smile on his face.
He's smaller than the rest of us but slightly taller than me, I'm almost as tall. His body shape is a little more feminine, with a curvy waist and slim arms and legs.
"Ah! You must be the humans I heard so much about! Not really of course. Everyone talks about me." He giggles.
Yeosang tilts his head. "I thought he was Pride?" He asks, pointing at Seokjin.
"Oh, he is. Can't you see?" He smiles. "I'm Lust."
"Than you are... Gluttony?" I ask, pointing at Taehyung, who nods and happily savors the taste of strawberry.
The Lust demon is gifted with a pair of beautiful reddish-yellow eyes with a pink gradient. His hair is parted to the left side of his face instead of the right - like Seokjin's - and curls lightly at the end.
His plump glossy lips are slightly parted as he darts out his tongue and swipes it over his bottom lip, giving me a wink before setting his hands on his hips.
"Keep your filthy hands off our human exchange students, Jimin." Seokjin snarls.
"I'm just in the mood to play, brother." The lustful demon purrs.
"And they are not."
"Give the humans some space, Jimin." Another voice says.
The boy who comes in sight is taller than the rest. He has messy layered blonde hair and green-yellow gradient eyes.
He smiles at us and frowns at Seokjin, before gently tugging Jimin back.
Compared to the newcomer, Jimin looks like a child. But a cute, very naughty child.
"Namjoon..." Seokjin mutters.
"Seokjin hyung." The demon mumbles, crossing his arms to copy Seokjin's posture.
They seem to be caught in a bit of tension...
To loosen the situation up a bit I smile. "It's really nice to meet all of you, I'm Jaein! Are you Seokjin's brothers?"
All of the demons nod.
"We are," Namjoon replies with a smile. "And I assume you two are the human exchange students? The angels from the Celestial realm arrived not too long ago."
Yeosang gulps. "O-oh... Can I see them?"
"If you want," Baekhyun says.
Yeosang nods, squeezing my hand again. "It would be best... I don't feel comfortable too with... so many demons..."
"But you'll be sitting in a class with twelve of them." Taehyung cocks his head.
Yeosang nods. "So I better get used to the presence of the unknown..."
"I'm very proud of you Sangie," I say with a smile. "You're a very brave boy!"
Namjoon smiles at me. "You sure are positive for a human."
"I'm going to make the best year of it," I reply. "Nothing more but to make the best of myself."
"I like you." Jimin grins. "I feel like you'll be... a very obedient human."
"Jimin." Seokjin growls.
Namjoon shoots the oldest a glare. "Do you mind giving us a bit of space, hyung?" He sneers. "Because you're cornering us."
I frown slightly. "Why don't we all get to know each other at the... House of Lamentation, was it?"
Baekhyun nods. "That's a good idea. Call Hoseok while you're at it and go get Jungkook out of his room. I'll take Yeosang here to meet the angels."
Yeosang quickly pulls me into a hug, pecking my cheek in a friendly way before following Baekhyun, telling me to call him every night.
I wave after him, smiling with pride as I watch him follow the demon that welcomed us.
What a nice pair.
"So... Are you free tonight?" Jimin begins smoothly, only to be slapped up the head by Seokjin.
"Mind your manners." The oldest growls. He turns to look at me, dark eyes softening slightly. "Mind if I borrow your phone for a bit? I have to call Hoseok."
I nod and hand him the D.D.P, turning to the demon I now know as Namjoon. He looks like a demon, a bit intimidating but very calm and determined. He has a smile that comforts you.
You can't possibly think of any posession for that.
"Wrath." The demon replies, as if it knew my trail of thought.
"What?"
"My possession," Namjoon says. "It's Wrath."
You smile at him, thanking him softly before I hear Seokjin counting down with a smug grin.
His counting is cut off by a hurried laugh and a quick "I'll be right there", before Seokjin hangs up and hands me my phone back.
"Thank you." He says. "Let us move to the house. As Baekhyun ordered." He says.
"You're practically a dog." Jimin frowns and crosses his arms whilst cocking his hips to the side. "Following the demon everywhere he goes like a little puppy. I bet soon he'll have his dick up your ass just because you saw him masturbate!"
"Jimin!"
"No, no." Seokjin growls, slowly towering over the shorter. "Continue. What shall I do?" His voice has become a deep demonic growl, eyes shining red for a moment.
Jimin gulps and suddenly seems to back down. "I... I-"
"Continue." Seokjin snarls.
"You... You'll loyally follow his footsteps?" Jimin whines.
"That's better." Seokjin grins. "Move along. I'll take the human with me."
"No." Namjoon sneers. "You'll feed her up with lies."
"I am not like you." Seokjin growls.
"I have never lied to you in my entire life." Namjoon growls. "You're going to make her hate us."
"And why would I do that?"
"Because your pride will be hurt if one of us is better for her than you. I've seen it happen before."
I can see Seokjin's neck tensing up, veins showing as he shoots fire with his eyes towards his brother, but he takes a deep breath and growls.
"Fine. If that is what you want. We'll see each other in the house. Hoseok will show up soon. Jimin, you're in charge of Jungkook, I'll protect the fridge."
"But- hyuuuung!" Taehyung whines, his stomach growling in hunger after biting through the lollipop.
"I know you'll eat everything. I do not want the human dealing with your hunger consequences." Seokjin snaps at him. "This is my decision."
With a few groans and growls, Seokjin leaves with Taehyung and Jimin, leaving me with Namjoon.
He sighs deeply and takes a moment to calm down after the doors have closed. He rubs his temples and smiles at me.
"Sorry... Seokjin can be a handful sometimes..."
"I understand what it is like to live with an annoying brother, but do try to enjoy time. Friends can go and love isn't permanent, but brothers you'll be forever."
"Tell that to Yoongi..." Namjoon mutters, gently grabbing ahold of my hand and leads me to the house, showing me a few places around he likes to go, such as the park and the library.
Namjoon is a bookworm and really likes studying. He tries to make life beautiful for himself so he won't bring others down with his Wrath.
What a beautiful man... demon.
"I heard that demons have a demon form as well," I say. "Do you?"
He nods. "We do... But honestly, we're young and inexperienced. If our demon forms show, it's always because of anger or rage. Uncontrollable bloodthirst..." Namjoon sighs. "Jaein, if anyone ever tried to attack you in this world, run. They may outrun you, but we'll be there to protect you. I promise you, we aren't as bad as you think."
"I don't think you're bad at all," I say. "I have a lot to learn about all of you and you have a lot to learn about me."
He nods. "I'm glad you see it that way."
The house, when we arrive, is big... Like - mansion big!
Of course I'm going to live with six demons!
"Hey... Joon? Who is this Yoongi you talked about earlier?"
"No one you should bring up." He says immediately. "We're supposed to pretend he doesn't exist..."
I refuse myself from asking any more questions. I'll only raise my curiosity and give myself a free pass to punish-land.
In the living room of the house is a messy white-haired demon being scolded by Seokjin.
Immediately Namjoon jumps in.
"Hyung! Quit it!"
Seokjin snaps him a glare that sends shivers down my spine. His eyes are red, teeth bared to reveal short but sharp fangs that layer over his bottom row of teeth.
"Hyung." Namjoon tries again. "The human."
Seokjin's gaze snaps towards me, immediately his bright eyes fade back to black and he let's go of the demon.
"Hoseok, meet the exchange student from Earth, Jaein."
"Ah... You're the human!" His cheery voice yells with a bright smile, happy eyes shining. He jumps towards me and I finally have a look at his pretty eyes. Blue eyes with a golden gradient. "Hello! I'm Hoseok! You may have heard from Seokjinnie that I am the demon of Greed!"
"How many times do I have to tell you that it's hyung?!" Seokjin suddenly snaps. "Is it that hard to get into those few brain cells of yours?!"
"Don't be such a party-pooper!" Hoseok snaps back.
"I do whatever I please. I am the oldest! I am the leader! And I control this household!" Seokjin pants, his outburst causing a demonic growl to rip from his throat. "Ignorant moron."
"WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND CALLING ME NAMES?!" Hoseok yells back.
Namjoon growls at him. "Shut up! Everyone just shut up!"
"Stay out of this." Seokjin barks.
"Than stop!" Namjoon sneers back, his hands clenching to fists.
To be honest, their argument is... rather scary. They look like they're ready to rip each other apart, tear each other's throats out.
Jimin comes to stand next to me and shakes his head and tsks. "Ah... Such children." He whines. "Don't be scared, darling. This happens every day. You'll be lucky if it only happens once."
So this happens more often?! How delightful...
I'm not a big fan of fights anyway.
I feel Taehyung's large hand graze my fingers until they grip me into his hold.
He leans to my ear and whispers a soft "Come with me", gently tugging me away from the fight.
