Serena POV

Ash impatiently approaches Dawn and attempts to shake Dawn awake, "DAWN, KENNY IS NOT YOUR -"

Dawn bravely stops Ash and continues, "But he is my true love." She grabs Kenny's hand and places his hand on where her heart is.

The next moment comes as a surprise as Ash suddenly falls on his knees with a loud thud. "Dawn---," he softly mutters under his mouth.

It is a choice of boyfriend between true love. A decision that can truly hurt Ash.

Dawn then confesses, "Sorry Ash, I am so sorry, I thought by leaving Kenny who previously hurted me would have made me happier. At first, I was. I even made Kenny angrier by hanging out with you. However, I didn't get the same kind of love from you as compared to the love Kenny gave me. I was questioning myself if I didn't love you enough. And indeed, I didn't."

"Then why did you choose Ash at the first place?" I ask as I peer at Ash who is on the verge of tears.

"Well... That's simple. I really need someone to guide me with my homework etc but our first encounter and meeting at your place change everything. You are such a nice guy to be exploited, so easy," Dawn says arrogantly.

"And one more, dense!" she adds.

"STOP IT!" Ash shouts.

Instead of carrying on to scold her, he runs out of the room.

Before I chase after him, I peer a look at Dawn. She acts very indifferently. Kenny approaches her and then comforts Dawn, "I will always be by your side." slowly placing her head over his shoulder.

With that, I feel slightly pissed. Remembered about Ash, I give chase to him. To my surprise, I find Grace, my mum. "Where did you go? Today is your birthday party."

"Sorry mum, can you help me to call the party off, I have more urgent issues."

"Like what?" Grace curiously asks me.

"Uh remember I told you about Ash and Dawn, now they just break up."

"Oh dear, and what does that do with you?" Grace asks. Uhgg why is my mum so nosy and annoying at times.

"I just need to, help me say sorry to them all," I answer as I speed past my mum to continue my search.

After searching in most of the room, finally, I open the door to my room. My room has nice pink walls decorated with various flowers, a three door wardrobe at the corner of the room, a desk next to the wardrobe and finally just a small standard size bed lying next to the opposite wall of the room.

When I open the door, I am shouted in my face, "Get out! I don't want to see anyone."

Ash is just sitting at one corner of the room.

"Ash, I dont want to pick a fight or what, but please calm down."

"NO, YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL!" Ash yells back at me.

I close the door to make the conversation a little more private.

"JUST GET AWAY FROM ME," Ash yells again.

I rebut, "I understand how you feel. You now feel rejected, cheated, all these mixed feelings all at once. I can help, I can lend you my ears."

Ash remains silent, maybe not wanting to rebut my words. Finally, he stands up and turns around. I notice his eyes including his face turning dark red with tears, still rolling from his eyes.

"Why?

Maybe because of my words, Ash cries even harder and louder and more tears roll down his reddened eyes.

As the only person next to him, I wipe his tears away and hug him. I pad his back and allow his head to rest on my shoulder, hoping that he will calm down soon. I add, "Cry all you want, I am the only one here."

Perhaps Ash did not know my new identity, so he keeps crying until he falls asleep.

I slowly slip away, in case Ash wakes up again. As I unlock the door, I am met with Calem who hugs me. "So glad you are here, why did you lock your room." Then immediately breaks free. "Why is your shoulder so wet?"

"Uhmmm" I stutter.

Calem then walks into my room, only to notice Ash. "Who is he? And why is he in your room?"

At this instant, other friends start running towards my room.

Gary asks, "Is Ash ok?"

"Shhh, he is sleeping," I reply as I shove all of them out of my room.

Serena suggests, "I need someone to help Ash up my bed."

Calem shocks, "Your bed? How can?"

Clemont asks, "Who are you?"

Calem coolly replies, "I am Serena's boyfriend of course.

Gary says, "You are Calem, right? The one who fails.

Calem cuts Garys, "What did you just say?"

"Cut it!" I yell at the two of them.

Since Calem refuses, Clemont and Gary work together to lift Ash off the floor and bring him to another room's bed.

"That brat, who he think he is, not allowing Ash to rest on her bed," Gary mumbles to Clemont which I could faintly hear. What else can I do? I really want Ash to rest on my bed but I know Calem's character, he will just whine.

Calem trying to clarify, "Did Ash do anything to you like a kiss or hug?"

I honestly reply, "Well, hug only."

"How did he hug you?"

Thankfully, Gary comes to my rescue. "Uh, Serena, can I stay here to accompany Ash? He looks vert weak."

Since my conversation is broken by Gary, I instruct Calem, "Could you help my mum below to escort the guests out and help me say sorry for them?". Calem nods and head downstairs

As Calem leaves I ask Gary "Sure but what about school tomorrow?"

"Well, I could buy mc," Gary replies

"What a friend!" as I feel impressed by their close friendship.

"Where are the rest?" I ask Gary.

"Oh, forget to tell you, Misty and May are comforting Dawn," Gary explains

Gary then whispers to me, "Maybe Dawn is mad at you."

"Huh mad at me, for what?" I ask, my eyes dilate.

"Not sure, it's a girls' thing," Gary explains.

Gary adds, "See ya tomorrow, I go get some rest."

Subsequently, I head to the room where Dawn was once in.

After Dawn notices me, "GET OUT"

I stand dumbfounded. No words come out from my mouth.

Will Serena and Dawn's relationship turn sour from now on? Or will they make up somehow? Stay tuned

Firstly, Sorry if this is a short chapter. I find mixing short and long chapters good, for some apparent reasons :D. Secondly, I find this cliffhanger perfect for now, maybe because the Kalos high fanfics I read so far do not include any commotion b/t the girl characters, for now, is b/t, Serena and Dawn. Lastly, as for amour, I know I just establish Calem and Serena, but rest assured, things will change dramatically! Otherwise, see you in the comments section below!
