The End to a New Start
Ash's POV
"Ughhh," I sign. I'm going miss my awesome friends in my high school. Marcus' jokes ; John's comedy ; Tiffany's laughters and smiles. I look back at my certificate, breaking my train of thoughts. It reads, "First in level for Oak High School (Kanto)". I smile to myself. "Oh well, at least I obtain a scholarship to Oak High School (Kalos) and relieve my mum's burden on my school fees".
I pack my bag, ready to leave for tomorrow's morning flight to Kalos. It will be an 8 hours' flight which will be the longest airplane trip I will ever have. I cannot wait to board the plane. On this thought, I suddenly feel uneasy as I cannot help but remember that I will miss my friends. Kanto is such an amazing place where people do help each other out without questions asked. I lie down on my bed and stare into the ceiling. Excitement, curiosity and many other feelings filled my mind causing me to remain awake in that same position throughout the night.
---
*RING* *RING* my alarm goes off
I rub my eyes and let out a huge yawn. I turn around, tap on the alarm and speed off to my bathroom. My eagerness to visit Kalos overwhelms me so much that I spend only 5 minutes instead of the usual 10 minutes to dress myself up. I briskly wear my usual outfit including a black undershirt over my favourite bright blue jacket and dark grey jeans.
I speed down the stairs to the living room, only to find my mum who is already cooking my favourite breakfast: bacon and eggs. "Sweetheart, have you packed all the stuff you need? We will depart in 30 mins!" my mum asked as the pan continues to sizzle.
I replied with total excitement, "Yes, I have checked, double checked and triple checked." Yes I did this yesterday night when I could not fall asleep.
2 hours later...
While I wait for our turn to board the plane, I am behind the glass panel looking at the other planes flying. I cannot wait for our turn, me being on the plane.
Not long after, the airport crew call for our flight number, meaning that we can now board the plane. YAY! As the plane starts to ascend, I look back at the airport terminal through the window from my window seat which I love. "Don't worry sweetheart, we will still return to Kanto, just look at what's ahead of you, especially your studies." Delia, my mum says, placing one of her hand on my shoulder, as if to reassure me. I keep quiet and look ahead. Kalos here I come, I thought.
