Today is a new school term for all 10th graders, and Serena is no exception. She is a fine and beautiful girl who has never recorded a single late-coming in her schooling years, except for this time...

Serena POV

"OH GOSH, what time is it??? I'm gonna be late for school, oh my," I exclaimed. I hastily change my pyjamas out for my usual outfit. By the way, I love my current outfit. It consists of a dark grey tank top with a white collar and a red high waisted shirt and finally black stockings. I grab my pink straw hat too from the top of my drawer and place it right on top of my head.

I run down the stairs and meet my mum, Grace. She exclaimed, "You are gonna be late for school, hurry up, I would not drive you to school" With that statement, my hopes of her driving to school die. No time to complain or for my breakfast, I speed towards the door and walk quicky to the bus stop. Seeing that the bus still haven't come, I whip my phone out and see the time that it is already 7.15am and classes start at 7.30am. Oh great i miss the first bus.

On the bus that Serena missed,

Ash POV

I manage to find a seat beside a somewhat familiar looking person. He turns towards me and shouts, "Oh if it isnt Ashy Boy!" Everyone in the bus turns their heads and looks towards where the sound comes from. All I hear are chatterings and whisperings from them.

"Hey, did you forget all about me? I am Gary," Gary adds, giving me an eye contact. "So I believe you are the new student that everyone is talking about, great!"

"Oh, Gary Oak, Oak tree!" I finally reply after being stun for a moment.

Laughters burst out again. "Dont ever call me that," Gary warns me as he places his hand over my shoulder like what a brother does.

The next five minutes, we are happily catching up and reminiscing our shared memories back when we were neighbours and childhood friends back in Kanto. I still cannot believe that he moved all the way to Kalos without me knowing.

Upon arriving in Oak High School (Kalos), I take a deep breath, and brace myself for the school curriculum. Then I ask Gary who is beside me, "Gary, can you please show me around the school? I am new to this place."

Gary unfortunately shaked his head, and pointed his finger to one of the girls and said "I have something on right now. Why not you go ask her? The one wearing that white beanie. She is always very willing to help others. Smell ya later."

"What's her nam-" I ask. However, before I can finish my sentence, he had already disppeared in front of my eyes.

Suddenly, I feel helpless as I dont know anyone else in this school. Do I really have to ask her for assistance? I guess I just have to.

I turn and look at her. She is wearing a black mini dress, a pink shirt, a white beanie on top of her head. Her hair is dark blue in colour and has blue eyes. She also wears a pink high knee boots. More importantly, she is currently within her own clique with two other girls.

I slowly approach them and kindly ask for assistance after introducing myself. I add, "It is also Gary's idea."

One of the three says, "Gary again, if he does this to you again, tell me, I will punch him."

The other says, "Ignore her, it's ok. My name is Dawn. Gary's friend means our friend."

"My name is Misty."

"And I'm May!"

Dawn says, "Since I won't be same class as you two, both of you can go ahead, let me bring Ash."

After agreeing to the plan, we separate ourselves and head to the general office for my timetable from the clerk.

Before I can take a look at it, Dawn swiftly snatches it away and compares it with hers. She turns around and says, "Looks like my lessons are about the same as yours, welcome classmate, same biology class, same maths class, same music class and more importantly same PE class."

"Uh-huh."

"Come on let me bring you to our first classroom," she says in excitement.

Soon we reach our classroom for our first lesson. Before I settle down, I look around for any presence of Gary as it will be awkward to see beside Dawn on the first day, at least that's what I think. Dawn then asks me, "Who are you looking for?"

"Gary?"

"Oh him, he will be with us for the next lesson, just take the seat next to me," Dawn replies pointing to the seat.

Oh well, I guess I have no other choices. As the class is about to start, I notice that there is an empty seat beside me.

After 1 minute or so, a lecturer comes into the classroom and greets us. He then introduces himself as Proffessor Birch. Just then, i hear a knock on the door. I, perhaps everyone too, swiftly turn and see a girl with her pink straw hat that has a black line across it. She is late.

Professor Birch let her in and gives her a warning on late coming. She nods and takes a seat beside me upon receiving a hand signal by Dawn.

As she settles down and takes her textbook out, I suddenly realise that I may have seen her before but I shrug that thought aside and listen to the Math lecture.

However, with her being so close to me, I cannot control myself to take several peeks at her. The same thought replays in my mind, again, again and again.
