       ● Olivia is from an Italian-American family because one of my best friends is half Italian, and who coincidentally is also a photographer.
       ● I made Olivia a klutz with constant mysterious bruises on her legs because that is me in a nutshell.
       ● Olivia wears a ring because I always wear a ring I have from my grandmother, which my mother also wore when she was young. So it's very special to me.

Random facts about Ricky:

       ● My inspiration for Ricky's eye condition is a little dark, as it stems from Madeleine McCann, the girl who disappeared in 2007.

       ● Ricky plays the piano as it's my favorite instrument. If only I could play myself...
       ● I gave Ricky the same birthday as one of my cousins, which is very fitting as I wanted him to be born in the 13th as a reflection of his bad luck.
       ● I imagine Ricky's voice to be like Jonathan Groff's.

Random facts about Roxie:

       ● I wanted Roxie to be adopted because my best friend growing up was adopted.
       ● Roxie wasn't adopted until she was two as that was how old my younger cousin was when she was adopted. - It also worked with the timeline of Rox and Linc's parents not having a baby themselves at the same time as they adopted Roxie.
       ● Roxie's hair is inspired by Frankie Sandford's iconic hairstyle.

       ● Roxie's birthday is the same as my mom's, who passed away in 2000.

Random facts about Sebastian:

       ● Sebastian is partly inspired by my cousin. If you want to win in a game of knowledge, he's the one you want to partner up with!
       ● The inspiration for Sebastian growing marijuana comes from an ex-boyfriend.
       ● Sebastian's birthday is the same as my dad's, who passed away in 2000.

Random facts about Lincoln:

       ● My inspiration for Lincoln being partial black without it being really noticeable – and buzz cutting his hair – comes from the actor Wentworth Miller.

       ● Lincoln's birthday is the same as my cousin's, who passed away in 2012.
       ● I gave Rox and Linc the last name Magnussen after the son of another cousin, who has helped me at an earlier stage of this book. So it's a way of thanking him.

Random facts about Coco:

       ● Coco only has nephews because I only have nephews (I have eight nephews).
       ● The only reason why Coco has a cat is because I wanted at least one of the big characters to have a pet.
       ● Coco is a big Pixar fan because I am a fan of their earlier work. (Not as much since joining with Disney.) My favorite of their Shorts is For the Birds.
