Charlotte's Perspective

Rose, Jacob, and I scurried into the closed cinema as fast as we could without getting caught after we hung up more posters for the Unlisted.

"There were super-recognizers posted on every corner!" I complained plopping down next to Dru in exhaustion, pulling down my black hoodie along with that. "They've got us completely surrounded," Rose added to my complaints and plopped down next to me.

"It's the posters I-I told you it was a bad idea!" Gemma stuttered out of worry and nervousness, "We're done running! Now we're showing Infinity group that they should be scared of us! Right Rose?" Jacob replies in confidence and sternness.

"Right...I hope." Rose was unsure on whether Jacob's little speech could have been true. " No way..." Kymara faded in disbelief as she was staring at her laptop, "Dru, Charlotte the reason the mainframe didn't work for you yesterday is that you attacked a dummy interface." Kymara continued and explained to Dru and me, "The real system is hidden underneath!" Kymara quickly added.

"Can we make nuke the real system before the Global Child Congress tomorrow?" I asked as Hope sparkles in her eyes whilst looking at Kymara. "Yes, well not remotely, which means someone's gonna have to go back to HQ," Kymara replies back with a hint of disappointment in her voice towards the last bit.

"There's also a master control device that Emma Ainsworth carries," Dru added, I nodded along in agreement, just as Dru was saying that a phone rang in the background. "So it'll be there at Government House for the Congress." Dru has been informed again, "Which means we need to destroy her device and the mainframe at exactly the same time." Kymara told us with a look of difficulty on her face.

"Wombat there's a call for you," Dadiji told Dru whilst handing him the phone. "It's my other wombat, don't worry I haven't told him anything." She kind of whispered the last part to him, my eyes widened a bit at the mention of Kal. I'm just as worried as Dru science I was best friends with both of them since we were in our diapers.

"Kal? Is Bua with you? Did they hurt you?" Dru asked in worry, since the phone wasn't on the speaker we couldn't hear Kal's side of the phone. "Are they listening?... How'd you get away?... They let you go? The guards were chasing me as if they knew!" Dru is not convinced that Kal was alone, "I'm sorry Kal. I trust you, I just don't trust Emma Ainsworth." Dru ended the call by saying that and hanging up.

Dru turned to us and informed us with some heartbreaking news, "They've got him."

After that everyone took a bit of a break to calm down from things and to have Kymara work a bit more on connecting to the mainframe.

I was sitting down eating on a table by the entry of the cinema room as Dru hurried down the second flight of stairs, his intention heading towards the exit. "I- uh, will be right back," Dru tried convincing me with his stutter. "Right after the super-recognizers take you in?" I replied in sarcasm and facts.

"Kal's gonna find is and when he does we're done. We won't make it to the Global Child Congress tomorrow." Dru tried convincing me yet again, "So you're running away?" I said looking at him in disbelief, putting my chips down and getting off the table.

"There's a radio frequency that displays implants, one of the labs at school has radio components," Dru explained to me before I could jump to conclusions, before I could retaliate Jacob interrupted. "Guys you're gonna want to check this out!" Jacob told us with a smile on his face before ascending the stairs.

We made our way upstairs and went over to sit with the rest of the gang, I saw they were watching some news lady. "Councils have been working overtime to remove a crop of mysterious posters with one simple message 'We are the unlisted. We are coming.'" Before the news lady could continue, Uncle Amir was happy that his poster print was famous and Dadiji was agreeing with him.

"Believed to be the work of a vigilante group, the poster contains a QT code, which lo a cryptic video, outlines a manifesto of sorts." The news lady added to her previous saying, "People are copying us." Jacob said in joy while looking around at us.

"Hey Rose," I whispered to her trying not to get everyone's focus away from the video. "Yeah?" She leaned into me, "Dru mentioned while we were by the stairs that there might be components of a radio interference in his school." I told her, she seemed to think about it and nodded in understanding, and continued to watch the video.

"Recent reports, suggest the group may now be spawning copycats as far afield as Paris, Beijing, and Russia." The news lady was interrupted by Dadiji saying, "The word is getting out little ones!" Looking at us, "Authorities are watching events closely as they infold, working to determine whether the Unlisted pose a threat to public safety." The news lady ended with a black screen.

"If I were Emma Ainsworth I'd be scared right now," Gemma said confidently towards us with a smile on her pale skin. "Hey Kymara, you've been in touch with the other Unlisted kids online, right?" Rose asked wanting confirmation and leading on to something.

"Sure have! They're the ones hosting our manifesto video." Kymara told us to confirm Rose's question and adding a bit of information to it. "Do you think they could get a call out for more kids? The copycats?" Rose asked again to Kymara, "Oh well I don't see why not." Kymara answered a bit confused about why Rose was asking her that.

"Kymara what are you thinking?" Dru asked the question everyone was thinking about the conversation. "I'm thinking you and Charlotte have to get to your school," Rose answered with a smile on her face, remembering what I had told her during the news lady talking.

"These disguises won't hold up at a close range, you can't let anyone stop you," Vidya warned is whilst finishing off our disguise makeup with her brush.

"Charlotte."

"Good luck."

"Thanks."

We all exchanged lucks before parting away from Vidya. "Hey! All units. Unlisted spotted at sector 5!" We heard a
super-recognizer yell out before chasing after us. "Let's go!" Dru hurried us and we ran.

As we were running super-recognizers could be heard yelling orders at each other trying to catch all the Unlisted kids in black hoodies. Rose's idea of having other kids camouflage as to have us get to Dru and I's school safely without getting caught.

"Stop right there!"
"Wait there's more of them!"
"I need backup all units now!"
"Don't let them go!"
"Grab him!"
"Get them!"

We arrived at the school lab safely and we climbed through the window. I got a bit scared seeing Dru with his disguise, "I still can't get over your nose." I told him, Dru grabbed what he needed and I went outside to put on posters of the Unlisted up on the doors and pillars.

"Wait," I had said noticing Regan walking in our direction. I got out of there before she could see me too and waited for Dru out by an exit. I heard a faint of their conversation until I saw Dru come back and we headed towards the cinema.

We all watched intensely as Dru was building together the radio interference. "There," he showed us two small components connected together by wires. "That's it?" Rose asked wondering how that small device is going to do it. "This should block Kal's implants," he reassured us it'll work. "If we can get close enough to put in on him.." I said uncertain that that'll work, "I'll handle that. If Kal's out of action, there might be a chance of us getting through tomorrow. Dru informed us with more reassurance.

"Everyone got the plan?" Rose wanting make sure everyone got it, as we were about to answer we heard a racket upstairs by the cinema entry. We rushed and I heard a familiar voice, "Uncle Amir, no! Don't let him in!" Dru quickly said to stop Kal from entering the cinema, as he said that Uncle Amir got thrown to the ground and we hurried to hide in the seats of the theater.

"Dru! Dru come out!" I heard Kal shout out, Dadiji hiding a few rows higher than me called out, "What's happening to you wombat? You're scaring me." It was evident in her voice that she was worried and scared of what would happen to her grandchildren.

Dru just in the row in front had a walkie-talkie in his hand and as Kal was distracted I saw Rose go up to the cinema box, she must've placed a mic there before hurrying down back to her hiding spot. "Kal, what are you doing? You let the implant control you, we need your help." As that was distracting Kal, we hurried on over to Dru.

"We have to lead him away. Is there another way out?" Dru asked Dadiji, "Yes there is a door behind the screen." Dadiji answered with worry cover her voice, just before we left Dadiji added "But don't have him do something that he regrets later." Instead of Dru answering that I answered it for him, "We won't Dadiji." I smiled at her before heading out with the others.

"See you at the meeting point at 3 o'clock!" She reminded us just as we were leaving. As we headed out Rose reminded everyone, "Stick to the alleyways." We were gonna continue to run but I stopped in a halt, "What are you doing?" Dru asked me in worry, "I just can't believe it's Kal", I said in sadness. "I know but we have to continue and right now that is not Kal," Dru told me and we hurried on to catch up with the others.

"Come on guys!"
"Come on let's go!"

As we were running Gemma tripped over a box laying on the breach painted floor. "Get up Gem! Keep moving." Kymara motivated Gemma a bit. "Come on!" Jacob hurried us.

"Come on guys he's coming!"

"Go, go, go!" Dru hurried us and we ran faster, Jacob stayed behind to try and reason with Kal. I looked back and saw Kal push Jacob to the ground and hurried to us. "Guys he's only after me!" Dru told us and we continued to run but each of us stopping to reason with him. When it was my turn he stopped for a second and stared at me.

My eyes were practically pleading him to come back, he just went around me and continued to run after Dru. "Can't we help him?" Asked Gemma trying to find hope, in that moment my mind wasn't functioning properly so I quickly shouted, I'll go!" And ran after them, I heard the gang shouting wanting to stop me but I was already too far ahead.

I spotted Dru running on the Pavement and I ran by him and calmly said "Hey," whilst running. He looked at me like I was crazy and just continued to run. We arrived at a familiar flight of stairs and we ran down them as fast as we could and entered a familiar underground tunnel system.

Dru and I hid behind a wall out of sight from Kal. We heard his footsteps, "Dru! ... Dru!" He shouted out in wanting to find his twin brother, "Dru come out! Dru, I know you're in there and you to Charlotte!" He called out, I looked at Dru in sadness, still panting from the chase we just had.

"Kal, whatever part of you is listening, please it's me... Char." I tried to remind him, "The implants are weaker down here. You're stronger than they are. You're better than they are." Dru continued on convincing him.

"Kal, You'd never hurt me and Char, we're connected, you know that. We always have been." Dru tried not to choke, he's going to lose his twin brother what do you expect. "You saved Dru's life remember?" I quickly added looking at Dru, he nodded and understood where I was going.

"When we were ten, you woke up in the middle of the night, calling my name but I wasn't in my bed." Dru started to remind Kal, he then looked at me to continue. "Everyone started running around like crazy looking for Dru, but you went straight outside!" I continued on from what Dru said last.

"I was sleepwalking, about to walk into traffic. Kal, mom said when they woke me up I just said 'thanks Kal'". Dru finished off looking down in reminiscing, "See you guys are connected." I confirmed, as Dru stepped out I stepped out beside him.

"We're not just brothers. We're twins! With the exception of Char heh." Dru said laughing a bit towards the end, I smiled a bit too. "Kal I- we can't do this without you man." Dru was trying so hard to convince his manipulated twin and not being the verge of tears.

"I can't take do this without your help!" Dru said desperately, Kal was starting to head our way slowly with the same face on. "I need you. Kal it's me. Please!" Dru shouted out his voice cracking towards the end, my eyes widened as I saw Kal lunge towards Dru...

Sorry for the long wait! It's just I had school and I got a break and wanted to enjoy it for a bit! But now I stayed 3 hours to do this for you, it's 3 am XD it was a really long process and I ended up with 2400+ words O-o. I haven't written that much before!

Anyway, I'm gonna try to to update more frequently, but school is starting like this Monday but it's gonna be online for now until like two weeks after! I'm gonna try to write as much as I could! Also sorry about the special I promised I don't think it might come! Let's see what time tells.
