weronika opened the door to her apartment and took her shoes off.
"i'm home! " she shouted. when she was putting her jacket to the side, she heard footsteps on the staircase.
"roni! you're finally here! " jungkook said hugging her tightly.
jungkook was her best friend since they were little. they also lived together, so they would pay less for the rent.
weronika hugged him back and laughed.
"why are you so touchy today? " she asked him.
"i just missed you, that's all. " he answered.
"but we saw each other this morning!! " she giggled. jungkook looked at her and pouted.
"but it's almost seven pm, i haven't seen you for ten hours! " weronika started laughing at that statement. she grabbed the groceries and headed to kitchen. when she organized everything, she took her smoothie and went to the living room.
roni sat on the couch and turned the tv on. while she was watching some kind of cliché romantic movie, jungkook sat next to her. for unknown reasons he felt tired.
the boy hesitantly put his head on her lap. he felt the girl stiffened. weronika didn't know what to do, jungkook wasn't usually so touchy and it was quite confusing. she felt his gaze on her face but she didn't dare to look at him.
"nika." he said with his low voice. when she finally got the courage, she looked him in the eye. he had this shine in his eyes, they were shining with happiness. she placed her hand on his head and started caressing his hair. jungkook leaned into the touch and smiled.
"what's up with you lately, kookie? " she asked. he was clearly avoiding her gaze.
weronika grabbed his chin and made him look at her.
"uhm..." he gulped. "... i've been thinking about this a lot and i know that i wasn't all so touchy, even though we're best friends. i've never showed you how much i appreciate you. i'm planning to change that and give you all my love and support, because you're literally the best person ever. " he said shyly. the girl felt tears forming in the corners of her eyes. indeed jungkook was her best friend, but he never showed that much of appreciation.
"oh my gosh, why are you crying? did i say something wrong? " he asked, worried.
"no, it's just that i'm really happy right now. " she smiled widely. he smiled back and slowly closed his eyes. the boy started getting comfortable on weronika's lap and he soon drifted away.
weronika was probably the happiest person walking on this planet right now. she still was caressing his hair though he was asleep. jungkook's hair was soft and fluffy and just nice to touch in general. the girl looked at his face and she realized that the boy who was laying on her lap, was probably the most beautiful human alive. he looked like an angel when he was sleeping.
she smiled and closed her eyes. she fell asleep, her hands still in jungkook's hair.
