Considering how it is taking me to post the other chapters, I just post this one for now.

Chapter 3: Days Of An Assassin.

*Few Days later* 

3rd Pov.

"Let's increase our skills so that we rise in the army ranks!"

"Right! And if we become familiar with ingredients, we can finally avoid food shortages in a crisis!"

After a few days of becoming a member of Night Raid, Tatsumi was held inside the kitchen as he is still partnered up with Akame.

He once recalled some moments where he and his two friends Ieyasu and Sayo were all cooking together when they all had the same goal of joining the ranks.

"Sayo... Ieyasu... I'm really glad that I've learned how to cook."

He thought to himself.

"Thanks to all of those times...."

"MORE!"

Bulat, Mine, Lubbock, and Leone all spoke at the same time as they raised their bowls to Tatsumi.

"... I'M BEING TREATED LIKE A REAL COOK!"

.

.

"Dammit!"

Tatsumi scoffs as he was cutting some ingredients.

"Even though now I'm an assassin, everyday it's all about nothing but cooking."

"It can't be helped."

Akame says.

"Afterall, I'm in charge of cooking at the base; and because you're shadowing me, it's only natural you cook too."

Akame then starts munching on some of her samples.

"You're only the cook because it means all the tasting and sampling you want, aren't you?"

Tatsumi stares.

"I do not know what you're talking about."

Akame looks back at Tatsumi with a blank expression.

"You're not very convincing for all I know."

Tatsumi says.

"Plus, shouldn't Taurite be doing this too?"

He asks.

"As a matter of fact, where is-!?"

*Voom*

Suddenly, Taurite appears.

"You called?"

"GAAAH!"

Tatsumi shrieks out of shock.

"How the heck did you do that!?"

Taurite looks at Tatsumi, confused.

"What do you mean? I was just walking here after taking a nap."

Actually, from Taurite's point of view, he teleported, but why not lie for the sake and simplicity of it.

"Ah, Taurite. There you are."

Akame looks before asking Taurite to taste some samples and know his preference though knowing that he was formerly an enigmatic being with unknown features.

So to be exact, Akame thinks that Taurite hasn't really tried food much during his time.

"Hey. That really is the best look for our newest recruit."

Hearing that, Tatsumi breaks an ingredient and turns to see who said such a thing.

Apparently it just so happened to be Mine.

Behind her was Bulat, Lubbock and Sheele.

"... Wait, what?"

Tatsumi stood there.

"Are you all going somewhere?"

He asks.

"Yep."

Mine nods.

"We got an assignment, so we're going to the capital."

Said Bulat.

"Assignment?"

Tatsumi stares in which reminds him when the boss said something about jobs.

"As a front, we pass ourselves off as an assassination agency... That takes jobs from people in the capital since it's more convenient that way.. So look forward to the day you're given assignments."

He recalls those exact words from his boss.

"Thanks for watching the place while we're gone."

Sheele smiles.

"Who? Me?"

Tatsumi turns to Sheele, confused.

"The newbies and Akame are watching the house! Have fun lopping the tops off of cucumbers!"

Mine mocks while laughing.

"Such an unruly child..."

Taurite thought to himself as he continued to chop some ingredients.

"Ta-ta!"

And with that, the four make off, leaving both Akame and Tatsumi along with Taurite.

"Grrrr..."

Tatsumi growls because of Mine while Akame and Taurite stood there minding their own business in silence.

Eventually, Akame takes off her apron.

"Alright.. Let's go take some lives of our own."

"What?"

"She means hunt for something to cook."

*Time skip*

"Hey. We're kinda pretty far from the hideout. Is this really okay?"

Tatsumi asks.

Currently, Akame and Taurite are venturing up the mountains with baskets on their backs.

"We'll have no problem if we go deeper into the mountains."

Akame responds.

After that, there was nothing but complete silence once more.

"...She's not much of a talker."

Then-.

"We're here."

Finally, the trio arrives at a waterfall.

"Wow.. This place is beautiful."

Tatsumi stares, astonished by the scene.

Taurite, he couldn't help but be pleased by the sound of birds chirping from the distance and the water flowing around from the waterfall.

He lets out a small smile that he chose to not make notice.

"We're going to neutralize some river prey."

Without realizing, Akame starts undressing herself.

Soon, Tatsumi turns around to see Akame.

"WHA-!? YOU CAN'T MEAN NAKED, CAN YOU...!?"

Akame finishes by showing herself in both a white bra and panties.

Taurite stares blankly and then shrugs it off, not really paying much attention.

"It's more sufficient in clothing that is easy to move through the water within.."

Akame says.

"Oh..."

Tatsumi thought to himself.

"Our target for today will be Elegant Tunas."

Akame announces.

"There will be a lesson on this."

She continues.

"Uh... Aren't those the rare monster fish that are extremely cautious-."

Before Tatsumi could even finish, Akame immediately dives down into the water.

Soon-.

*SPLOOSH*

"ARE WE FISHING WITH DYNAMITE?!"

Tatsumi shouts inside his head in shock as tons of fishes started flying out of the water and land inside of Akame's basket.

Taurite had his eyes slightly widen, surprised by the result of Akame's small performance.

Soon, Akame swims back up to the water's surface.

"It's better to dive down to the bottom of the river and make your appearance completely unknown. Then attack the moment your prey swims by"

She states.

"It's also important to make a quick call before doing so."

With that, Akame asks-.

"Can you do it?"

Tatsumi then smirks as his ego started getting the better of him.

"BRING IT ON!!!"

Tatsumi rips off his clothing and dives in.

Taurite stood.

"Are you going to join as well? If not, then it's okay for you to sit this own out."

Even as Akame asks that to Taurite, Taurite starts stripping as well and joins in.

"Don't seem to be much of a talker yourself, are you? Taurite?"

*Time skip*

"So... In the end, Tatsumi caught two.. While Taurite managed to surpass him with eight. Close to Akame from what she got."
(From the manga, it looked like Akame caught ten.)

Ths boss said as she herself, along with Leone, were enjoying themselves at the table with Akame, Tatsumi and Taurite.

"Is it true from Akame that you ripped off your shirt and said 'bring it on!'?"

Leone asks, intending to make fun of Tatsumi while he is in a current state of drooping.

"He's still green."

Akame refers to the fish.

"Shit! She doesn't give me any credit whatsoever... Can't even tell what she's thinking."

Tatsumi thought.

"Leone."

The boss sets her food aside.

Everyone looks at her.

"Tell me about the assignment you received from the Capital the other day."

The boss said.

".. The target is Ogre from the Capital's garrison and an oil dealer named Gamal."

Leone responds.

"According to the client.. Ogre's been accepting very large bribes from Gamal and every time Gamal commits a crime, Ogre makes someone else out to be the criminal. Most likely innocent people.. And the client's husband was framed and put to death for it."

She continues.

"This is what she's paying for the job."

Then, Leone tosses out a decent pouch that contains the client's savings.

"She sure saved up a lot."

Tatsumi said.

"It smells horrendous.."

Taurite points out.

"She probably made that money by selling her body."

Leone says.

"That's..."

"Have you confirmed the facts?"

The boss asks.

"They're guilty. I even overheard them from an attic room over at Gamal's oil shop."

Leone answers.

"Okay... Night Raid will accept the job... The new nation won't need treacherous wrongdoers."

The boss nods.

"Let's exact divine punishment upon them."

"It'll be easy to take down Gamal, but.. Ogre will be tough to deal with."

"Ogre the Demon.. I believe he earned his title as the Demon with his exceptional swordsmanship to where he is even feared by local criminals."

Taurite said.

"During my time in the Capital, I do occasionally see him patrol around with a small unit."

He mentions.

"And from what the people say, he mainly spends his time in the guardhouse."

Taurite continues.

"Pretty sure most of the bribes from Gamal are usually taking place in his private quarters."

Leone adds in.

"On his days off, he's never too far from the Garrison and drinks on main streets near the palace."

"Then our only chance to get him is on his days off."

Tatsumi puts his hand under his chin.

"Though like Leone said, he drinks on the main streets near the palace, so security will most likely be tight."

The boss said.

"Meaning that we can't put Akame on the case because her face is all over the wanted posters."

"Can't we wait until Mine and the others get back?"

Akame asks.

"But how can we know when they'll be done with their job?"

Tatsumi asks Akame.

".. In that case... We'll just have to carry out the mission ourselves!"

Tatsumi then stands up from his chair with his hand slapped on the table.

Everyone looks at Tatsumi in silence.

"... You're saying you'll bring down Ogre?"

The boss asks.

"Huh?"

"They don't know what I look like either, but.. I hope you take responsibility for what you just said."

Leone smirks at Tatsumi.

"The way you are now, you can't do it."

Akame says bluntly.

"While we're sitting here discussing this... There might be more people being falsely accused out there, okay? So I'll do it."

Tatsumi retorts.

"I don't want anybody else to have to suffer their loved ones being taken away from them so meaninglessly..."

"Got it... I appreciate that determination of yours."

The boss nods.

"Get rid of Ogre."

She orders.

"Well said, Tatsumi! I like your resolution!"

Leone smacks the back of Tatsumi's head.

"Would it be okay for me to come along with you as well? You will need to be familiar with the place once you're there. Luckily for me, I happen to know a few places where Ogre might be for the night."

Taurite asks.

"Then it's settled."

The boss said.

"Leone, Akame. You two will take care of the oil dealer."

"Got it!"

Leone gives her boss a thumbs up.

"How do you like that, Akame?! When I make up my mind, I make up my mind!"

"And there goes his ego..."

Taurite silently sighs to himself.

Akame stays silent for a moment before saying-.

".. Carry out the mission successfully.. Complete your report and you'll finally be worthy of praise."

Akame then turns away from Tatsumi.

"If you're still as cocky as you are now, you'll die."

Taurite says bluntly for Akame.

"Wha-!?"

Seeing Tatsumi's reaction made Taurite chuckle to himself.

"I wonder how long you can last with that attitude of yours..."

*Time skip*

After settling with a decision to take down Gamal and Ogre, Tatsumi is brought upon the main street with Taurite and Leone.

Of course, Tatsumi's and Taurite's is Ogre the Demon.

"If we two go straight along here, we'll reach the main street."

Taurite said.

"Got it."

Tatsumi nods.

Behind the two, Leone was staring at them.

"You two."

Both Tatsumi and Taurite turned to Leone.

"I'm going to tell you guys about Akame's past."

"Huh?/Hm?"

"When Akame was just a kid, she was sold to the Empire along with her little sister."

Leone spoke.

"I mean... It's a pretty common story to hear about poor parents selling their kids and all."

She stated.

"Soon though, she got accepted into a training organization for assassins along with other kids who were in the same situation as her."

"Meaning she had to learn how to fight, kill and survive under the most severe conditions."

Taurite finished.

"Yeah.."

Leone nods.

"She lived that way, carrying out jobs at the Empire's orders. She was a full-fledged assassin."

Leone continued on once more.

"But with every assignment, Akame felt the dark side of the Empire, until she was sent on a mission to target the boss, only to be persuaded by her instead and turn her back on the Empire to join the Revolutionary Army that actually cared about its people."

"But there was a cost, was it?"

Taurite asks.

"The way you say about Akame turning against the Empire, she lost all of her comrades she knew as a result."

"... Yeah.. She did."

Leone sighs.

"So like, do you understand what I'm getting at with this conversation?"

She asks.

"You're saying that in the eyes of a professional killer, newbies like us two here still have a lot to learn, right?"

Tatsumi puffs while putting both of his hands on his hip.

".. Well, if you're successful today, you'll understand."

"Alright then!"

Tatsumi starts making his leave.

"Mark my words! I'm going to be victorious."

Taurite follows Tatsumi.

"Happy huntin'!"

Leone gives the two a thumbs up as they were on their way to the main street.

".. To live, to fight, to kill... To survive.. Those mean nought to me as I fought many battles..."

Taurite kept on thinking about Akame's story.

"Battles in which I led..."

He turns to see that Leone was already gone and the dark was closing in.

"For my Witness."

*Night*

During the night, inside one of Gamal's personal quarters, he was spotted while coming back from a bathroom break.

"Wooeee!"

He exclaims as he makes his way back.

"I feel much better now that I've gone to the bathroom.. I think I'll have her get me off one more time.."

All of a sudden-.

"Sure thing."

Gamal suddenly had his head wrapped around by someone who just so happened to be Leone.

"I'll get you off this mortal plane, Gamal.

Gamal starts getting choked to death.

"Akame!"

Out of nowhere, Akame appears and stabs her sword into Gamal's chest.

"URGH!"

Akame pulls out her sword from Gamal's chest and Leone drops him onto the ground.

"Heh. He should be happy he got two beautiful babes at once!"

Leone says while Akame sheaths her sword.

"Now... I wonder how those two are doing."

*Main Street*

"PHEEEW!"

Out in the main street near the palace, Ogre was found outside feeling drunk and everything or sort.

"Nothing beats a drink after a good long interrogation."

Ogre said.

"Master Ogre!"

Then, Ogre turns to see two individuals.

"A well done job, sir."

"Thank you for your help the other day."

The two thanked him.

"Sure thing!"

Ogre waves at them before making his leave with an evil grin on his face.

"Heh... I'm the king of this town! I have the highest authority! I can do whatever I want!"

He thought to himself.

"Excuse me.. Master Ogre."

"Huh?"

Ogre turns to see Tatsumi, who was wearing a cloak to disguise himself from the people's eyes.

"There's something I wish to speak to you about."

Tatsumi said.

"What is it? Out with it."

Ogre asks.

"I'd prefer we weren't in such a public place.. Could we speak in a back alley?"

Tatsumi suggested.

Eventually, both Tatsumi and Ogre were brought to the back alley with no witnesses around.

"Well? Is this good enough?"

Ogre asks.

"Sayo... Ieyasu... Please give me strength..."

Suddenly Tatsumi drops down.

"I beg of you! Please let me into the Capital garrison!"

He begs while Ogre stands there, nerved.

"I have to make money to send to the countryside!"

"Haah... I thought it might be about that."

Ogre sighs out of annoyance.

"Just go through the regular procedure, you damn idiot!"

"But..."

As Ogre begins walking off, Tatsumi slowly draws out his blade under his cloak.

".. In these hard times, there's too much competition."

"Tough luck."

Ogre stops himself before slowly drawing out his sword from his waist.

"That just shows that you're inadequate."

Before Ogre can even turn around and face Tatsumi-.

*SLASH*

Tatsumi immediately landed a deep cut onto Ogre's chest.

"... He's fast!!"

Ogre thought to himself.

"He has a decisiveness that knows no fear.. I can't believe somebody would dare to rise against me...."

And with that, Ogre was (not) defeated.

"I did it!"

Tatsumi exclaims as he swipes his sword to get the bloodstains out and sheaths it.

After that, he remembers what Akame said to him.

".. Carry out the mission successfully.. Complete your report and you'll finally be worthy of praise."

He recalls precisely.

"That's right.. I better hurry and report back to-."

"RAAAAAAAAGH!"

"Wha-!?"

*CLANG*

Suddenly, Tatsumi unsheathed his sword and managed to block Ogre's attack yet only to get himself knocked back.

".... Me.... The great Ogre... Killed by some shitty brat like you...!?"

"How is he not dead?!"

Tatsumi thought to himself.

"I don't care how much the weak moan and groan... The strong make the rules in this town.."

For some unknown reason, Ogre began looking more intimidating as a strange aura began engulfing him.

"I DELIVER THE SENTENCES! NOBODY SENTENCES ME!!!!"

"That's not for you to say..!"

Tatsumi then jumps up into the air.

Then, he strikes down his sword against Ogre's.

Ogre parries Tatsumi's attack and begins throwing blows against Tatsumi.

However, Tatsumi managed to block off some of Ogre's attacks as they were very fast and aggressive.

Finally, Ogre attempts to strike down Tatsumi, forcing him to lose his ground and block Ogre's sword with no option to jump back.

"I bet your ass you're with Night Raid, aren't you?"

He asks.

"Who exactly gave you the job? I've got plenty of ideas and all, but... more recently, I bet it's the fiancée of that guy I killed?"

Tatsumi struggles to respond, knowing that he's not supposed to say any word about what Ogre asked.

"Did I get it right..? I know I should've killed that bitch when I had the chance... Then again, it's not too late yet!"

Ogre starts grinning.

"First, I'll find her.. and charge her parents and siblings as felons. Then I'll execute them all right in front of-!"

*Yank*

Suddenly, Ogre was tugged and then thrown across the darkest of the alley.

"Taurite!"

"Let's finish this quickly.. A unit from the garrison are out to fetch Ogre for commands."

Taurite said

"Got it!"

Tatsumi nods.

"Grr... WHO THE HELL-!?"

As Ogre helps himself up, a whole waving of lightning was traveling towards him.

"SHIT!"

Ogre quickly reaches for his sword and dodges.

However, another constant wave of lightning was traveling towards him once more.

Finally, the wave shocked Ogre, paralyzing him and preventing him from doing anything, which left an opening for Tatsumi and Taurite.

"Tatsumi!"

Tatsumi charges towards Ogre and sends a whole barrage of slashes upon him.

And with that, Ogre lost both of his arms within a split second and received multiple deep cuts onto his body.

"GRAAAA-!

Tatsumi ends it off with a thrust of his sword into Ogre's chest that was aimed precisely onto Ogre's heart.

After that, Tatsumi pulls out his sword from Ogre's body and swipes the bloodstains off from his blade before sheathing it.

Tatsumi turns to Taurite.

"Let us make haste, Tatsumi. The unit from the garrison will be here soon."

"Yeah... Let's go!"

*Night Raid Hideout*

"Good job disposing Ogre."

Back in the meeting room, the boss congratulates Tatsumi and Taurite for completing their first assignment in Night Raid.

"Very impressive work you two did within a matter of minutes."

"That's right!"

Tatsumi says with pride.

"How was that, Akame?"

He turns to Akame.

"Taurite and I did our report and completed the mission. We even pulled it off without much of a scratch."

Again, Tatsumi's ego began kicking in.

Akame stays silent but has a concerned look on her face.

Therefore, she decides to approach him.

"Now you've got to admit I'm pretty good-."

*Yank*

Suddenly, Akame yanked off Tatsumi's shirt.

"WHA- WHAT THE HECK!? WHAT'RE YOU DOING!?"

Tatsumi shouts.

"Oh no..."

Taurite stood there.

"Leone. Boss. Hold him still."

"Got it."

"Oh! This looks like fun!"

With no hesitation, both the boss and Leone grabbed hold of Tatsumi and took off his clothes other

"Uh- what's going on here!?"

Tatsumi was held there, confused before coming to a small realization.

".. Wait-! DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE GOING TO-!"

Before Tatsumi could even finish his sentence, his pants were pulled down.

All that remained was his naked body except for his boxers and socks.

"NOOOOOO!!"

Tatsumi covered himself out of embarrassment while Akame began examining his body.

"... Oh, good.."

Akame lets out a genuine smile towards Tatsumi as a sign of relief.

"I've seen too many of my comrades die from not reporting their injuries."

She said,

"I'm glad that you yourself didn't sustain any fatal damages."

Tatsumi stood there, dumbfounded.

"The death rate is high for one's first assassination.. You overcame it very well."

"R-right."

He stutters.

"The reason why Akame's so tough on you is because she didn't want you to die."

Leone states.

"Cooking is a way for people to communicate with one another; and catching those tunas is an example of assassination.

The boss said.

"Surely enough you realize how valuable those days were to you? I'm pretty sure even Taurite was able to figure it out at the very start."

She asks Tatsumi.

"Most likely yes. I was able to."

Taurite nods.

"Oh... Uh... Is that so?"

Tatsumi couldn't help but feel so stupid.

He turns to Akame.

"I'm sorry, Akame... I... Misread you."

He apologizes.

"It's okay."

Akame accepts his apology.

Then, she reaches out her hand to Tatsumi.

"Please come home safely from on, Tatsumi."

Tatsumi takes Akame's hand.

"I will. I look forward to working more with you, Akame!"

"Pfft! What kind of 'work' are you referring to after you stripped all your clothes off!?"

"You guys were the ones who stripped me!"

Tatsumi pointed out.

"Speaking of clothes."

Everyone looks at Taurite.

Taurite sighs.

Without saying anything else, Taurite takes off his shirt.

"Just my shirt only. I prefer not to do all of my clothing."

Everyone stares at Taurite as they can clearly see that he is completely ripped.

His pecs were very toned along with his abs which seems to be the only things that the four were looking at.

His biceps and triceps were pretty built as well.

However, there were black markings all over his arms that were moving like wave currents, but that'll be something that Taurite himself will discuss for another time.

"Quite impressive if you'd ask me."

The boss said.

"Wow. You are ripped!"

"Now that is a fine body there.. Wonder if I'll ever get a taste of that someday.."

Leone thought to herself as she placed her hand under her chin while blood started coming down her nose.

Akame on the other hand, stayed silent because couldn't help but be astounded by Taurite's body to the point she was really tempted to just touch it.

Not just the abs and all, but like everything and the author means everything.

"Finished now?"

"No/Yes."

Despite those answers, Taurite puts his shirt back on.

"... Okay.."

The boss began thinking.

"Now that you understand enough from Akame, I think it's time you should follow Mine next."

She said.

"... Huh?/You can't be serious.."

"Damn.. It's one problem after another for both of you."

Leone smirks at the two.

"W... WHY HER!?"
