I realized that I posted chapter 3 instead of 2, so I'll also leave this one for all of you just because of my idiocy.

Chapter 2: Night Raid
-------------------------------------------------------------
*Two days*
3rd Pov.
It's been two days ever since the encounter between Taurite and Night Raid.
Here in the Capital, Taurite was wandering around during the night with his usual attire that included his all black clothing and a golden cross around his neck.
Soon, he brought himself to a dark alleyway that was hidden between two buildings.
"This should be the place..."
Yesterday, Taurite came across some information about an ancient relic that will be placed in a private auction for the rich and wealthy people to attend.
He thinks that this ancient relic could be a part of him.
"This should be the place..."
As he walks through the alleyway-.
"I can't wait until the auction is over."
"Yeah, only then we wouldn't even have to be standing here on guard."
Two voices were heard.
Taurite quickly planted himself to the wall and slowly took a peek to where he saw two guards standing near a door.
As he scans the area, he caught a glimpse of an open rusted window that was on the higher floor just across his way.
"That should be my way in..."
Therefore, Taurite began to channel and emit an aura.
Soon, his body slowly started to disappear into triangular particles.
After that, his appearance completely vanished into thin air.
Then, he casually walks past the two guard's views and aims for the open rusted window.
Once he eventually climbed himself up there, his body started to reappear.
In his view, the area he is currently in seems to be a facility that was abandoned for quite some time.
Silently, he began to hear voices through his head and feel a sense of vibration.
"So it's here..."
Taurite thought.
"Lead me to wherever you may be..."
Within his eyes, a trail of fluid resonance slowly appeared.
.
.
.
As Taurite ventures through the abandoned facility, he comes across a small opening that was hidden above the ceiling.
Taurite then opens his palm and launches a small pulse of void energy towards the ceiling, blasting it open while also not causing too much disruption by having the bits turn into dust.
"Hopefully that didn't cause too much of a disturbance.."
Before he was about to jump into the ceiling, he placed his hand in front of his face and summoned a mask out of thin air.
After that, he went inside.
.
.
.
While Taurite wandered within, the sound of vibration he heard began to become louder and louder along with the voices of others.
"The auction is coming into play.."
Soon, Taurite would be stopped by a small opening within a wooden frame.
He decided to look through it.
In his view, he caught a glimpse of a bright light.
"O'ladies and gentlemen!"
Outside from Taurite's view, a ringman was shown up on stage.
And behind parts of the back stage were items of sorts and some basic materials to make a fool out of others that will be presented within the mean time once the introduction is over.
Eventually, the introduction would soon be over and the one who organized the auction has signaled some members backstage to bring forth all items and materials within their disposal at a single time.
With the audience making so many noises, Taurite saw an opportunity.
Therefore, once the volume from the audience rose up, Taurite punched open the wooden frame and tore it apart.
He would immediately get noticed by one of the backstage crew, who was about to bring forth an item.
And within an instant, Taurite quickly sent a few punches to certain location of the crew men's body before having to chop the neck, which landed precisely on the neck's carotid sinus
After doing that, the crewmen began to lose consciousness and collapse on the floor.
Thanks to the amount of noises made from the audience as several items were brought up, no one else within the backstage didn't hear anything.
"Alright... Where will you be?"
Taurite quietly investigates around, checking each and every item that was stored where he is at.
During the process of finding what belongs to Taurite, he had no choice but to take several crewmen that remained, but at the risk of drawing curiosity to those up front.
Then-.
*Burrrrr*
There it was.
"So this is what you have become."
Knowing the fact that he was missing parts of his former body, it seemed to him that they had been fashioned into a suit of armor.
Here, it was stored within a glass case.
"It's time you finally return as a part of me."
Taurite plants his hand onto the glass.
Suddenly, triangular particles started to appear on the suit of armor, where it began to distort itself to where it was completely gone.
But to only transverse to the body of Taurite and have itself adjust to his liking.
Soon, his thoughts would be overloaded with a flow of conductive energy to where it-.
*THUNDER*
Suddenly, the lights in the entire auction room began to send a few sparks and instantly shut itself.
"What's going on!?"
"Why's the light gone out?!"
"The hell's going on!?"
"Someone turn the lights back on!"
The audience panicked.
"Someone go secure the robe!"
The ringman shouted randomly as he pulled out a small lighter from his suit.
But to come across Taurite, who is now wearing what the ringman calls a "robe", although looking at it from Taurite's perspective, it's a mere suit of armor.
"Who are-."
Before the ringman could finish his sentence, his face was grabbed and was sent a powerful pulse of electricity.
"GRAAAAAAGH!!"
Some parts of the audience gasped out of fear after hearing the screams of the ringman within the darkness.
Suddenly, the lights were restored.
And everyone looked towards the stage to where they saw Taurite who had the ringman in his grasp.
Then, he lifted the hangman's body and threw it towards the audience.
"Your deaths shall await you..."
Soon, several guards barged into the auction room and charged towards the stage.
Taurite's hand suddenly began to emit small sparks of lightning.
He then thrusts his hand through the air and blasted a large beam of lightning towards everyone.
Everyone who made contact with the beam started to have their clothes singed before having parts of their body disintegrated.
"EVERYONE RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!"
Out of fear, the remaining audience started running for their lives.
As everyone ran off, Taurite stopped and scanned the entire room to where he saw nothing but destruction.
He forms a smile as a sign of being pleased with himself.
He then looks at his hand.
"... I am still limited with my powers..."
Taurite clenches his hand and turns it into a fist.
"I cannot rely on them too much. Therefore I must find myself a suitable weapon to aid me."
Suddenly an image appeared inside his head.
Inside the image was a dark empty, endless room.
However, in the center of it, there was...
"My glaive..."
He murmured.
"How have I forgotten it..?"
There were several questions to ask.
"No matter. That shall be a question for another day."
And with that, he made his exit.
.
.
.
.
.
By the time Taurite was outside, he dismantled his whole armor and mask to change his outside appearance.
After that, he continued on with his-.
"Taurite."
Taurite's name was called out.
He turns around to where he saw someone that was surprised to see.
"Akame of Night Raid."
"I suspected it would be you."
Akame says.
"My... Do tell me where I might ask, are you following me?"
Taurite asks.
"Only to wait for your answer. And to make a quick errand."
Taurite had forgotten about the idea of joining Night Raid, though not knowing what their goal was.
"Even if you refuse, I have no intention of raising my sword against you as I know what you're capable of."
After hearing that, Taurite's expression changed.
"You are not human.. Are you?"
Akame asks.
"And what if I am not?"
Taurite approaches Akame.
"Because you're that 'thing'. Am I correct?"
Akame asks, which made Taurite flinch and with that, was Akame's answer.
Eventually, Taurite came to a realization.
"So it was you."
The two spoke together at the same time.
"You are what the description calls you.. Nezarec."
Akame says.
"Is that your real name?"
She asks once more.
"... Yes."
Taurite nods.
"But I do not like to be known to others, so I was given a name from a... Friend."
He continues before crossing his arms together and saying-.
"Now that you know my real identity, what will you do?"
"Wait for your answer until you decide to join us, knowing that we share the same goal."
Despite the two both cleansing the Capital from its corruption, Taurite's main priority is to actually find missing parts of his former body.
But perhaps, maybe this should benefit him for the time being.
"If I were to join, I would like to do you a favor."
"What will that be?"
"I'd like to gain some assistance on finding the missing piece of my former and true physical body.. Surely enough I know for a fact that when I was awakened, you noticed that parts of me were missing, yes?"
"I do."
Akame nods.
"Alright. then next.. I'd like to keep this discussion between us and us only. Though I might recall your friend Leone, who probably saw who I am, but possibly might've forgotten."
"I understand."
"And to be fair with you, I shall answer whatever questions you have."
Akame nods once again.
"Then it's a deal."
Taurite reaches out his hand to Akame, expecting a handshake.
Akame then exchanges with Taurite.
"Follow me. I'll lead you to our base."
"Please do so."
*Next day*
-------------------------------------------------------------
During the next day, Tatsumi's, who is on top of Night Raid's base, sitting down on the grass in front of two graves to represent his two dead friends from his village that happen to be Ieyasu and Sayo.
"Y'know... I still remember what the three of us said.."
Tatsumi thought to himself as he recalled a certain memory when he, Ieyasu and Sayo all journey together to the Capital.
"The three of us vow to die at the same time! - Yeah! - We'll make it big in the Capital and seek our fortune! - Then we'll save our dirt-poor hometown!!"
Those were the exact words he remembered.
"... Yeah.. That's... What we said.."
A gust of wind blew as Tatsumi looked down in sorrow.
"But now... I'm all that's left...."
He thought to himself.
*Fwump*
Soon, a pair of someone's cleavage were pressed on top of Tatsumi's head.
"WOOOOOAH!?"
Tatsumi immediately jumps away out of shock.
Apparently it had to be Leone.
"What do you think you're doing!?"
He asks while raising his voice.
"Don't think you can just mope around forever!"
Leone sighs.
"C'mon, it's already been three days. Have you made up your mind about joining us in Night Raid?"
She asks.
"Okay, listen here! I-."
"I think you've got what it takes to kill."
Leone then grasps onto Tatsumi's head and puts his head next to her cleavage.
"I guarantee it."
Leone says while poking Tatsumi's cheek.
"Hey,,, I'm not really worried about having what it takes or not.... It's just killing... It's not really right to me."
"Either way... You still gotta look around the hideout today!"
When saying that, Leone wraps her arm around Tatsumi's neck.
"WAIT! MY NECK!"
"For starters, this place is ten kilometers north of the Capital, in the mountains."
"The fu-!? Isn't it a little out in the open?! You guys are supposed to be assassins, right!?"
*Meeting Room*
"... Huh? He still hasn't made up his mind on joining us yet?"
In a room, Leone brought Tatsumi to a young girl that was dressed in purple with a bun on her hair, who was currently reading a book.
"That's right, Sheele."
Leone then starts patting Tatsumi's head.
"And here I was thinking you could give him some words of encouragement."
"Hmm..."
Sheele took some time to think about something.
"Well, since you know the location of our hideout, you probably realize that you'll be killed if you don't join us."
"So much for words of encouragement... Hearing that actually brings me tears to my eyes.
"It'd be best for you to think it over. You still have time, afterall."
After that was said, Sheele continued reading her book.
"What's she even reading?"
Tatsumi tilts himself to see the book.
He reads the title to where it is named "Don't be an airhead. Fix yourself in 100 ways!"
".... God this is even worse than I imagined.. They're all crazy now that I think about it."
Tatsumi thought to himself-.
"HUUUUH!?"
Someone shouted.
"Hold it, Leone!"
It just so happened to be a girl in pink, who is named "Mine".
"What's he doing here in our hideout!?"
She asks.
"He's one of us."
Leone says so casually.
"Not yet, he isn't! The boss hasn't given you the go-head yet!"
Mind yells before switching her gaze to Tatsumi, who begins having a drop of sweat come down his head.
"..?"
Tatsumi stares, confused.
"He's unqualified."
Mine turns away and crosses her arms.
"He doesn't have the air of someone who can do the job like we professionals."
"I'm sorry what-!?"
"I CAN READ IT ON HIS FACE!"
Mine shouts.
"My lord... What is all of this commotion..?"
Suddenly, someone else made an appearance, which the four found unexpected to see who it was.
"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU!?/TAURITE!?!"
Tatsumi and Mine both raised their voices.
"I am slowly regretting my decision..."
Taurite sighs silently.
"Uh... May I know who you are? And how are you in our base?"
"Taurite. And let's say an acquaintance of mine led me here"
He says, introducing himself.
"For now, I am observing everyone and soon let your leader know about my thoughts and opinions about you all."
"In terms of that, does it mean you are going to join us?"
Sheele asks.
"That is correct. But it's too soon for me to decide just yet, however."
"Hmph! if you really get accepted by our boss, then I won't accept you!"
Mine points out.
"What an unruly child.."
Taurite thought.
"Don't take it too personal, handsome. Pinky here is like that to everyone."
"Who're you calling pinky!?"
.
.
.
After that, Leone brings Tatsumi and Taurite to the training grounds.
"As you can clearly see, these are the training grounds. It's really just a place to blow off some steam."
Leone says, only to stop in her tracks as she looks at someone who is already training.
"And over there..."
From the looks of it, it was a man who was swinging around a spear.
"You can see Bulat all drenched over with sweat."
"WOAAAAAAH!!"
"...Whoa! That guy really does have his way with a spear!"
Tatsumi stares in awe.
"Pheeeew!"
And before that, Bulat sticks his spear into the ground and eventually sees Leone, Tatsumi and Taurite.
"Oh! If it isn't Leone! And that little kid from the other day!"
"Uh.. How do you know who I am?"
Tatsumi asks.
"I suspect that you're the one that was covered in a suit of armor, correct?"
"Oh!? Really?"
Tatsumi looks surprised.
Hearing that from Taurite caused Bulat to chuckle, impressed with his observation.
"It's nice to see someone who is able to see through my skills of combat."
He then reaches out his hand to Tatsumi.
"The name's Bulat. Pleasure to meet you, fine lads."
"Uh.. Hey."
Both Tatsumi and Bulat exchange greetings.
"And before that, I'd like to let you know that he's gay."
Tatsumi immediately flinches.
"Hey now, are you trying to give him the wrong idea...? I mean, c'mon~"
"I can think of a lot of bad ideas!"
Tatsumi shouts inside his head knowing the fact that he and Bulat are still holding hands.
"Oh good lord..."
.
.
.
Eventually, Leone brings the two to a place where almost everyone takes a bath, but finds a guy in green.
"Hehehe... It's almost time for Leone to take her bath!"
He says while looking through some binoculars.
"I don't care about the danger if I get to see them big ol milkers of hers!"
"Then I'll just have to take those two fingers of yours."
Leone says as she shows up behind the guy dressed in green.
(Context: This is when Akame Ga Kill began to peak my interest and watch until the end)
"BAAAAAAAH!!"
The guy screamed before getting himself pinned down by Leone, who then began grabbing his left hand while having her foot pressing against his back just to make matters worse.
"You never learn your lesson, Lubbock."
"Fucking hell!"
Lubbock yelled in agony as Leone started bending his fingers.
"I'll try again! No matter how many times it will take me!"
"What in the..."
Tatsumi stares.
"Then next time it'll be your whole arm, you damn perv."
Leone snares until she looks at Tatsumi and Taurite.
"I'll have you two know that this guy here is Lubbock."
"I am slowly losing my own insanity at this point on....."
Taurite plants his own hand on his face and sighs in disappointment.
Soon, Leone would eventually let go of Lubbock's arm, and considers it as a warning, but if he were to go any further, he'll know what's coming for sure.
"Onto the next one!"
.
.
.
"God.. I already feel so full all the sudden."
Tatsumi says as his body is all hunched over due to all of the amount of idiocy he is witnessing.
"I question on how exactly do you feel full despite not having any food for past... Two hours or so."
Taurite looks at Tatsumi, confused.
"Very funny.."
Tatsumi turns to Taurite and stares with a deadpan expression on his face.
"Tahaha! Relax Tatsumi, the next is gonna be the last one. Trust me."
Leone laughs.
"I suspect it is Akame. Afterall, I have not seen Akame today."
Taurite thought to himself.
"Also, the one who is last on our list is a real beauty, so don't all too exaggerated once you see her."
Leone mentions.
.
.
Soon, the three would finally arrive at a small river with a large animal being cooked over the distance.
"There."
Leone points.
Over in the distance next to the large, cooked animal, was Akame.
Currently she is sitting on her chair while crunching and munching onto parts of the cooked animal.
"That there is Akame. Cute right?"
"The f- What part of her is cute!?"
Tatsumi had so many questions about Leone and Akame. No, actually, he had many questions about everyone in Night Raid, except Taurite.
"Wait-! Is that an evil bird she's eating!?"
Tatsumi asks.
"From the looks of it, yes."
Taurite replies.
"And she killed it all by herself!?"
Tatsumi asks once more.
"Yep! Akame here is a feral child of ours"
Leone says like she is proud of it and has no thoughts of denying it.
"Here, Leone."
Akame then tosses Leone a piece of the evil bird.
"Oh! Thanks!"
Akame grabs another and looks at Tatsumi
"Have you decided to join our team?"
She asks.
"...N-no."
Tatsumi hesitated.
"Then there's no reason for me to give you this meat yet."
Akame says with a straight face.
"As if I even need it, and I don't!"
"Too bad, Tatsumi."
Leone chuckles in amusement
Akame then turns to Taurite.
"Have you decided to join as well, Taurite?"
"Still consider, despite meeting some 'infrequent' individuals..."
Taurite shrugs at Akame's question.
While having the thought that Akame was not going to give Taurite the piece of the evil bird, Akame tossed it to Taurite and he caught it.
He did not question anything and just took a small bit of the cooked evil bird.
But before that, he would split half of it and hand it to Tatsumi.
"Thanks."
Taurite nods to Tatsumi.
"Say, why is everyone so jacked up lately?"
Leone asks.
"That's because the boss is back.
Akame points out.
Leone looks around to where she finally notices someone that was also sitting down, who appeared to be a woman with the same hair color as Taurite and had a mechanical right arm along with an eyepatch covering her right eye.
"Boss!"
"Yo."
The boss waved.
"Welcome back! Did you bring me anything?"
Leone says.
"Now why would I do that? Regarding that job I assigned you three days ago."
Then the "Boss" mechanical arm began to make sounds that are close to how metals are pressing against each other in order to move like joints.
"Is it true that the operation went overtime?"
"... Oh crap!"
Suddenly, Leone ran off.
But to only be caught by the boss's mechanical arm that was capable of shooting its hand.
"EEEEEK!!"
Leone starts getting herself dragged back.
"It's not good to enjoy fighting an opponent too much, especially ones who are far more powerful."
"I know! Just stop pulling me!!"
Leone struggles.
"Anyway, tell me about those two."
The boss refers to Tatsumi and Taurite.
"Ah"
Suddenly, Leone grabs hold of Tatsumi and faces him towards her boss.
"Right, Boss! I'm nominating this talented guy!"
"Hey what the-!?"
"Does he show promise?"
"Very much so from my perspective."
Taurite blurts out.
"Perhaps you should consider giving it a chance, Tatsumi."
"Yeah! You should definitely give it a shot!"
"Like a part-time job or something!?"
"It pays well."
Akame points out
"So it is a part-time job!"
Tatsumi shouts.
Meanwhile, the boss sits there.
Then, she gets up from her chair and grabs her coat that was hanging around the seat.
"Akame.. Go and gather everyone in the meeting room."
She says.
"I want to hear every detail about the outcome of your last mission and those two."
*Time skip*
-------------------------------------------------------------
"I see."
Here, everyone in Night Raid was gathered within the meeting room while Taurite was sitting down in a chair and Tatsumi was standing in the center.
"I've grasped your situation, Tatsumi."
The boss says.
"Do you have any desire to join Night Raid?"
She asks.
"... If I refuse, I'm dead, am I?"
Tatsumi hesitates.
"No. It's not really like that.. but we just can't let you return home now that you are acquainted with us now for the time being."
The boss responds.
"And in terms of that, we'll put you to work as a staff member here in our base."
"The decision is not all that difficult, Tatsumi."
Taurite thought to himself.
"So either way, you won't die if you refuse."
"..."
"But now that we've cleared that up... What do you say?"
The boss asks once more.
Tatsumi clenches his fist as he begins to get himself into some deep thoughts on what he should do.
"I planned on being successful in the Capital.. So I can save my poverty-stricken village..."
He says.
"But to only see how bad the Capital really is..!"
"The rot in the center of the Capital is why the countryside is so poor."
Bulat leans against the wall with his arms crossed.
"Don't you wanna rip it out from the it's source? Like a man?"
"As you can see already, Bulat here used to be a skilled Imperial soldier. But it was obvious that he was most likely to learn about the Capital's corruption and eventually join us."
The boss explains.
"Our job is to dispose of the corrupted folks from the Capital; and it's easier to do when you're not in the midst of the corruption itself."
Bulat speaks.
"But... Killing bad guys little by little isn't going to change the world in any big way, is it? It sure as hell won't even save towns like more in the more remote regions."
Tatsumi asks.
"I see."
The boss nods.
"And that makes Night Raid all the more perfect match for you."
She continues.
"But why is that?"
Tatsumi ponders.
"For starters, I'd tell you that from the far south of the Capital, there's the Headquarters of the Revolutionary Army that stands in the opposite direction of the Empire."
".... A Revolutionary Army?"
"That started off as a small movement... To a whole large-scale organization with the needs of having itself be separated into branches meant for gathering information, assassination, and other unmentionable jobs."
"And we're one of those branches that are highly selected!"
Leone exclaims.
"Right now, we're focusing on exterminating the high-ranking officials in the Capital for the time being, but as of now, when the Revolutionary Army is prepared, the rest of us will join as soon as we can."
Akame mentions.
"And crush the corrupted Prime Minister.... With this very hand!"
The boss clenches her mechanical right hand.
"... Crush... The Prime Minister...!?"
Tatsumi stood with his eyes widened.
"That is our main objective. But of course there are others to worry about, though we're leaving those aside for a moment until notice."
The boss goes on.
"I can't say much as to the specifics of when the uprising will happen, but... We have a winning course that is set for us all; and when that time comes... This country will surely change for the greater good.
"... Will this new country be kind to its people?"
"Of course."
The boss nods regarding Tatsumi's question.
"..... That seems a bit too much for a goal..."
Taurite thought to himself.
"It is impossible for a world to be perfect and peaceful without its fatal flaws though knowing that humans ought to live a life that leads them into the aftermath..."
He continued on with his thoughts.
"Still, humans in general are quite vexing and bothersome to deal with..."
"I see..."
Tatsumi finally speaks.
"Wow... So the killings you're doing now are only targeting bad guys to take out the trash..."
For some reason, Taurite started to feel strange as to what Tatsumi might say next.
"You're like an assassination organization on the side of justice!"
Tatsumi exclaims while clenching both of his fists.
When saying that there was silence.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Pfft!"
"Gehahahahahahaha!"
"LMAO!!
"Wh...! Wha-? What's so funny!?"
Tatsumi asks.
"Tatsumi..."
Everyone looks at Taurite.
"No matter what name you give it.. Everything they're all doing is still considered murder and unjustified."
He says.
"He's right, Tatsumi; and of course, there's no justice in that."
Sheele points out.
"To also add in... All of us here... We could get what's coming at us at any moment and die without knowing..."
Bulat speaks in a serious tone.
"Most of us here have our own reason as to why we're fighting.. And we're all prepared for whatever outcome there is."
The boss comments regarding what Bulat said.
"Does that change your opinion?"
She asks Tatsumi.
"... While we're doing this, we'll receive compensation, right?"
Tatsumi asks.
"Yes; and if you do a good job, you can probably save your hometown."
The boss answers.
"Then I'll do it!"
Tatsumi shouts with determination.
"Let me into Night Raid!!"
He demands.
"With such a huge goal... I'm sure that Sayo and Ieyasu would agree to it too!"
"I'll have you know... Once this is all over, you probably won't be able to waltz right back into your village as a hero."
Mine indicates.
"That's fine by me.. Just as long as everyone in my village is happy."
Tatsumi nods.
"Then it's settled."
The boss lets out her hand to Tatsumi.
"Welcome to the path of carnage, Tatsumi."
Once that was said-.
*Sling*
"Intruders are here! Miss Najenda!"
Lubbock shouts, alerting everyone.
"Where and how many?"
The boss asks.
"According to how my barrier's reacting..."
"There are eight of them, Akame.."
Taurite began speaking telepathically to Akame.
Akame looked at Taurite surprised, but did not question anything nor say a word to anyone.
".. There should be eight of them!"
Lubbock answers to his boss.
"They've all infiltrated the hideout ground!"
"They're good."
Leone says.
"To know how they were able to sniff us out this close... I suspect they are probably mercenaries from the tribes."
When saying that, the boss took out a lighter from her pocket along with a single cigar.
"Emergency dispatch: Don't let anyone come out alive."
All of a sudden, the atmosphere changed from Tatsumi's perspective.
"Go!"
*Time skip*
-------------------------------------------------------------
As everyone scattered when hearing about intruders, Akame signaled Taurite to come with her.
Right now, the two are standing alongside a river.
In front of them were three male mercenaries from the tribes that the boss mentioned.
"The fact that she's here... Means their hideout isn't far from here after all... Looks like all that searching really paid off."
One of the mercenaries(1) said.
"Not to mention that she sure is a cute little thing."
The other mercenary(2) pointed out.
"Heheh, yeah. Just make sure that we have some fun with her even before she's dead.. So don't damage her body too much."
Hearing that from the other mercenary(1), Taurite couldn't help but question as they talked about how cute Akame is.
"You two keep them occupied, I'll go on ahead-."
*Whoosh*
Within a quick second, Akame quickly slash two of the mercenaries' necks, except one was left with a large cut on his arm.
"Ah?"
"Huh..?"
"This is enemy territory. Don't be so lax."
Akame says.
"But..."
"She was... Too fast..."
After that, both the two mercenaries collapsed except for one.
"Shit! I need to make a run for it!"
The last mercenary started running off.
Akame looks at Taurite and nods at him.
Once signaled, Taurite reached out his hand and opened his palm.
Then, Taurite unleashed a ball of lightning that quickly traveled towards the mercenary.
"What the hell is-!?"
As the ball of lightning made contact with the mercenary's upper body-.
*Zap*
It suddenly started to jolt the mercenary's body to where it was so powerful enough that it even began igniting sparks his clothes and burn his body to death.
"MAKE IT STOP!!!"
The mercenary yelled in agony.
But to only be finished off by a powerful pulse of lightning surging through his body's nerve systems.
Once that was done, Taurite lets his hand down and looks at Akame.
"You intentionally left him alive for me, yes?"
Taurite asks.
"Yes."
Akame nods to Taurite's question.
"It's a reason as to why I wanted you to come along with me, so I can what you are capable of."
"I see."
"Though I suspect that was merely a portion of your powers, right?"
Akame asks.
"That is correct."
"However, I still feel a bit weakened without my other parts."
Taurite mentions.
"And I took notice of myself to not rely on them on a daily-basis."
He continues.
"Do you perhaps need a weapon to suit yourself? I do recall having some spare in our storage room."
Akame asks.
"I'd appreciate that-."
Suddenly, Taurite began hearing voices.
He looks around.
Only to-.
*VOOM*
"That was Mine's Pumpkin"
Akame says.
"He's also doing this for his village...?"
Taurite heard Tatsumi's thoughts from afar.
Without no hesitation, he quickly charged up an orb of lightning with his hand.
Then, he aimed towards a specific direction that came from Tatsumi's area.
"You should take a step back to where I'm going to fire, Tatsumi."
He signaled Tatsumi telepathically from a distance.
Only to immediately launch a beam of lightning, blasting several trees over
After that, Taurite stopped himself before seeing a large trail with fallen trees and burning branches.
From a far distance, he saw Tatsumi, who was sitting down, freaking out.
"HOLY SHIT!!"
Tatsumi shrieked before laying down on his back, feeling relieved that he was not caught within his friend's attack.
"... Should've thought twice before doing that.."
Taurite chuckled to himself.
"That was no Teigu of yours, was it?"
Akame asks.
"Teigu?"
Taurite looks at Akame, confused.
"If you do not know what they are, I'll tell you once the area is cleared."
Akame said before heading off to check on the others.
Once she was gone, Taurite decided to head to Tatsumi and bring him back to the base.
*Time skip*
After encountering the mercenaries, everyone in Night Raid remains in one piece.
As a result, they decided to throw themselves a little party to have both Tatsumi and Taurite join.
"Good work on your first battle, you two."
The boss compliments the two newcomers.
"T-thanks."
Tatsumi nods.
"You should take note of having to make a quick decision whenever it comes to finishing off an opponent, Tatsumi."
Taurite says.
"No matter what person they may be, good or bad, you can't be soft with them."
"Hearing that from you, it seems to be a point of concern."
The boss understood what Taurite was saying to Tatsumi.
"If you're willing enough to keep fighting until you survive, I believe you're going to need someone like one of us here to teach you some lessons/scenarios.
She says.
"I recommend partnering up with Akame for starters."
Hearing that, Tatsumi didn't seem to like the idea due to his expression.
"Are you sure about that?"
Tatsumi asks.
"Don't worry, Tatsumi. Taurite is under the same boat as you."
When finishing her sentence, the boss looks at Akame, who is currently eating a large and cooked chicken leg.
"You okay with that, Akame?"
She asks.
"Mmhm."
Akame responds.
"But if he unintentionally holds you back, then don't hesitate to finish him off."
"Mmhm."
Akame nods once more.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"
Tatsumi began shouting inside his head with fear.
Soon, Taurite chuckles in amusement as the boss eventually tells Tatsumi to join the others.
"An interesting individual you all are."
He says to the boss.
"Heh, you got that right."
She responds as she takes out a lighter and a cigar.
"Akame told me that the two of you encountered each other during the other night."
Hearing that, Taurite tensed himself, questioning whether Akame broke off their deal already.
"She even mentioned how you're also that 'thing'."
"..."
Taurite did not say anything.
"C'mon, I'll have you know that I was also there when the two of us found where you were kept in."
"... So you were the other one who spoke my name?"
Taurite asks as he recalls another voice speaking to him when he was in his deep slumber.
"Yep."
The boss nods while putting her cigar in her mouth and lights it up.
"Like Akame promised you, I'll make sure to not mention a word to anyone."
She says.
"However, who knows if everyone will find out who you really are."
"I hope not..."

If you want to know what his new armor is, this is what it looks. (However, exclude the gauntlets and the white armband{bond} on his left arm.)
