Powers: Shadow manipation. She can melt into shadows and use them to get around, she can also make various swords and knives out of the shadows, and images, but she can't materialise anything besides more complicated than the swords. She can also see in the dark.
  Weaknesses: her powers are kind of inversely proportionate to how much light it is. She's strongest in complete darkness, but inversely, she's weakest outside in the middle of a sunny day. She can't create shadows, just manipulate them, so if there's too much light she won't be able to use her powers well, if at all.

Personality: she can be very manipulative, and doesn't feel any obligations to stick to the strict truth. She'll say whatever she feels will get her the farthest ahead. She doesn't particularly like talking about her past, so when asked about it she'll almost always deflect and go on a tangent about some inconsequential stuff. She's somewhat mischievous and likes to play pranks on people, which with her powers usually means making frightening things out of the shadows. Nothing that would actually hurt them, but in the middle of the night seeing shadows move on their own or turn into animals can scare the crap outa ya. She also has a greedy streak and honestly would do most things for a bit of money.

Backstory: Her parents were.... Less than great... especially after they learned she was special. When she was about ten they threw her out, not wanting a freak in the house. She lived on the streets for a while. She went hungry on multiple occasions, but learned to become quite the little con-artist to get people to give her money for food or books. She always knew that she wouldn't be able to just get pity money put of people forever. It was during this time she developed her greedy streak, having gone hungry so often, she never wanted to go through that again. In her teens  she heard about this place, it seemed like a good opportunity so she applied. She still doesn't have a family, but she doesn't think she needs one.
