(At the GCPD)

You and Ed were still hugging when Harvey came up,"NYGMA GET OFF THE NEW GIRL!" Harvey shouted at Ed, who frowned and pulled away. "Sorry 'bout that lady, he's just a weirdo." Harvey said handing you a file, Ed was walking quickly back to his office by then, you waited until Harvey was gone, and went after him. You knocked on his office door, he opened it frowning, by looking at his face it looked like he had been crying a bit. You stepped in and he closed the door. All the memories from highschool seemed to be flooding back to him in rapid succession. You pulled him towards you, "Ed what's wrong?" You asked pulling back slightly, "It's all coming back just everything, the bullying, you fighting them, m-my parents." He got quieter at the last part of the sentance, the tears came back. That pit formed deep in your heart again. Jim walked in. "Do you two know each other from somewhere else, no one really gets that close to Ed. Willingly." "Yeah we know each other from highschool. Jim nodded, "It's good you know someone here, don't worry about Harvey, he could have been joking, sometimes you never know."

You and Ed exchanged addresses and phone numbers and left. Ed had a solid expression, too calm. It worried you. "Goodbye (y/n). I love you. When we got separated to go to college, it felt like I got seperated from a sister." Then he hugged you, hard, really really hard. It worried you he said that all in a kind of "goodbye forever" kind of tone.
