Victim.20
The End?
Bryce made his way down the street to meet Lui who was waiting for him at the coffee shop not to far from where Ryan lived. The first thing he wanted to do before even thinking of setting off was see his friend even if it was the last thing he did today. As Bryce pulled open the door the smell of coffee and cleaning wipes surrounded the area making him feel relaxed instantly. Lui was sitting at the table with his Labtop in front of him and his eyes dazed, almost like he was inside the screen.
The blonde took a seat in front of him and watched as his friends eyes jerked from the computer to him. "Bryce!" The male exclaimed as he smiled warmly to the boy in front of him. "I'm so glad to see you!" Bryce only grinned at his friend who was closing his labtop.
The shop didn't go silent like the movies when someone nearly shouted something but instead it seemed to have died down in conversation. The only scent lingering was coffee and biscuits which Bryce never seemed to grow old of. He had to admit he missed this place more than he should've.
Bryce listened to what his friend had to say before telling Lui the story of what happened to him and what he had found,
"Yeah when I found out Bryce and Brian had passed I nearly cried myself to sleep. David even came over to help me out which made me feel good but it wasn't right. Shortly after I had found out that you were in the hospital and that nearly made me have a heart attack!" Lui explained as he munched on his food. "I just can't believe you became a target because of your sexuality.."
"Yeah I mean I can believe it. She's a person who believes her sins can be forgiven cause she supposedly works for God.." Bryce shrugged as he sighed deeply. His blue eyes staring at the wall behind his friend who only gave him a look. "It happens. I'm still here and I'm thankful for that."
Lui nodded as he made a face. "Who was it that saved your life again?" Bryce stared at this friend for a moment for he didn't feel like responding. It wasn't that he was upset by who it was but the fact that Ryan had went out of his way to save his life amazed him. After the detective had told him about what happened he couldn't help but feel like he's left a paw print on the man's heart. "Yeah, it was Wrecker."
Bryce and Lui spoke for a little longer but when he realized it was almost time to leave he shared his fair wells with the male and gave one last smile.
Bryce made his way down the street until he reached the church. He was welcomed by his mother who was clinging to him.
•Police Station...
"What do we got Smitty?" Ryan asked as he leaned back in his chair. His partner only shook his head as he flipped through the papers as well as photos, which he received from the others, that were very disturbing. Eva had been a victim and because his boss was late he had to go alone and it wasn't very pretty.
"Well honestly Ryan this was really fucked up. I didn't think I'd be able to hold in my puke at the scene..this Nurse is pretty fucked up dude.." Smitty handed Ryan the photos and watched as the hazel eyed male squinted. The poor woman had been hung up like Jesus had been and her dress, though patterned with blood, was tore in areas. "Goddamn.."
Ryan went through photo after photo and ignored everything his partner said until it came to one which made his blood grow cold and the hair on his arms stand. He felt his heart stop as his eyes jerked up to Smitty. His partner raised a brow at this and rushed to his side only to see what image he was holding.
"Bryce's Blood Shall Be The LAST!"
Smitty jerked back and looked at Ryan who was just as shocked as he was. "Oh my god..she's going after Bryce.." Smit's words reached Ryan's ears and he nearly had a heart attack in his chair.
•Saint Willow's Church..
Bryce sat in the seat as the woman preached away her soul to the lord. He wasn't really listening because what his eyes were focused on were the lit candles surrounding the area. Finally he was snapped back by Stella's voice.
"My fellow followers we have a man in this church tonight..and through his innocence he is the Devil! The Devil I tell you!" Women and men cheered loudly. Bryce looked to his mother who was staring blankly at the woman up front. "His mother had told me that she wishes him better but my dear friends..there is no cure! No cure for what he has!"
Bryce felt his mother grab his hand and he looked at her with confusion, "Mom what're they talking about?!" His voice cracked. She did nothing but swallow her words as if they weren't even there.
"She had agreed to give her life away for what she had brought into this world..it is Gods wish!"
Bryce panicked as his mother stood up from her seat and made her way up to the front. Stella smiled as she grabbed the bucket of liquid, "Your name shall never be forgotten. I, the servant of God, cleanse thee of thy sin!" She splashed the liquid on his mother and before he could pull himself fro the seat she struck the match. "Let the fire burn!"
Bryce's eyes widen in fear as his mother let out a toe curling scream.
•Ryan's Car..
Ryan hit the gas as he saw smoke enter the sky. His skin crawled as he parked the car.
His world slowly tumbling at the sight.
