Victim.12
Stand Up.
•7:00 A.M.
Bryce stared at the man in front of him with a serious expression. Lui was working his magic on his labtop and the phone as he was trying to hack the system. "Here you go just try not to get it locked up again." Lui smiled as he slid the phone over to his friend who just nodded as he slid it open. "Thanks man, I gotta admit, I would be absolutely nothing without you."
Lui only laughed a little as he scrolled down his messages and checked one he must've gotten from his girlfriend. "Hey Lui," David's voice made Lui jump a little as he looked up to the tall male with a welcoming smile. "Hey David." The taller male looked down to Bryce and gave him the eye before tuning back to his secret crush. Well it wasn't as secret as he thought. "What can I get'cha?"
"Actually Nogla," Bryce cut in as he stood from his seat and stretched a little. "We were just about to leave. Only came here to meet up about something important.."
David only brushed off his statement and looked to Lui who just stared at his two friends. Finally he gave in. "I'm gonna stay. You should too Bryce..I need to ask you something." Bryce sat back down and they ordered something before chatting away about their jobs.
Lui was a computer expert who created them the way people wanted them to be built or designed. Since he was pretty good with designing too. He and Bryce had been friends for around a year now and the two boys were pretty close because they kept in touch on the daily. Bryce was just the type of guy who kept people like this close to him in case he needed a favor or to be busted out of a sticky situation.
The only problem he's had was David.
David or as he liked to go by, Nogla, had the biggest crush on his friend since the first day they met here. The poor man was stumbling all over the place but despite his actions Lui and him did begin to talk. They even began to play video games online twenty four seven. Now that Lui had a girlfriend and admitted to being confused as to what gender he wants Nogla has been all over him.
Leaving Bryce to the side.
Not that it upset him or anything. Bryce really didn't care unless it was in moments like this.
Lui sat his fork down as he swallowed his food then collapsed his palm under his chin. "Alright so I have got some questions." Bryce looked up from his plate at that and nodded to give him the sign he could speak. "Do you know anything about Brian's disappearance?" The blonde just sat there for a moment as he pondered on if he should tell Lui.
He sighed deeply as he pulled out the males phone and held it out to show Lui. "This is his phone..I don't know anything about him leaving but I'm betting I can find something in here. Has to be a clue." Lui's eyes went wide as he snatched the phone from his friends hand and looked through it. Bryce swallowed and Lui furrowed his brow. "Hey here's you a lead," he leaned over the table and pointed to a message. "Here, it says, 'You wanna meet at the park in the afternoon?' Maybe that's something you should check out."
Bryce scanned through the messages. "But they've met multiple times Lui. Any place could be the spot."
"Exactly," Lui smiled as he leaned back in his chair. "That's why you start from the very beginning. More than likely somethings at the park. Has to be."
•Later That Day..
I can't keep it. This pain going through my chest oh god it hurts. Why does God look down on me? Even after I killed him. Even after he is lying on the floor in a puddle of his own blood he mocks me! Mocks me! ME! His servant! I can't feel my arm. All the cuts. What have I done? Who am I? Why? This church..this damned church pulls me in every time..I have no one. Even my own reflection spits on me.
Bryce ran a finger down his cheek as he stared into the mirror at his image. The journal lay on the edge of the sink and he could feel his hand twitch for more. It was like a drug and he wanted to read it all but now wasn't the time. He needed to find Brian.
Bryce furrowed his brow and pulled up his coat before leaving the bathroom. He locked his door and ignored the sound of someone pulling up. Bryce didn't normally have visitors so he figured it was the neighbors.
Boy was he wrong.
Once he turned around his eyes went wide as Ryan threw himself on the blonde. Both arms blocking any escape he may have.
"Oh Bryce," he smirked. "Right into my arms."
Bryce didn't say anything as he stared into the hazel eyes that belonged to the detective who hovered over him like a tower. His breathing was calm and though he was afraid he didn't show it which amused the other. "Brycey what would I do without you? You keep trying to stir up trouble for me don't you?" Silence. "Well Bryce I'm going to warn you right now. I saw you on the tape Bryce, sneaking into his room. I want you to know this makes you a suspect and I've got my eye on you. I won't take whatever you took away from you but I want you to do me a favor." Bryce swallowed a little. "If they see me letting you get away with shit I'll get fired..now I don't want that..so,"
Ryan leaned in and pressed his lips against the blondes ear. "Stay out of it." Bryce shivered a little and immediately shoved the taller off him. Face red.
