7: Kisses
Finally I heard the knock at the door.
It wasn't like he was late.
I'm just a little anxious.
I slowly opened the door, standing with my hip popped out a little.
"Hey," I smiled.
"Hey," he replied, a large smile spread across his handsome face. "You look great."
"Thanks." I giggled. "You ready to go?"
"Uh yeah," he snapped out of his daze and let me step in front of him.
He opened the passenger side door of his truck, and let me step in.
"What a gentleman." I giggled as he sat down.
"It's always my pleasure." He joked, starting the car.
The ride to the theater was nice, and we had light conversation.
I was slowly realizing that I was giggling a lot more than I normally did.
Geez, Kent probably thought I was annoying.
He opened the door for me again as we entered the large building.
I loved this theatre. I've been coming here since I was little. Case always got stuck with me whenever he went with his friends. So I grew up mostly on superhero movies.
White stars were painted on the high ceilings.
The hallway to the theaters was dark.
"So what movie are we going to see?" I questioned as we approached the ticket counter.
"You'll find out soon enough."
"Keeping secrets are we?" I playfully nudged him with my shoulder. "I'm fine with whatever movie, as long as it's not a horror movie."
"Oh, you don't like horror movies?"
"Absolutely not. They terrify me."
"Maybe I should take you to see one, then you'll you can jump in my arms." He winked.
He ran a hand through his curly brown hair, ruffling it a little.
His soft pink lips curled in to a smirk, as I swatted his arm.
We moved up the the counter, the girl behind the counter smiled at us.
"Two End Game tickets please." Kent slid her a twenty through the hole in the glass.
I looked at him with wide eyes.
"You like the movie I chose?" He looked amused.
The girl at the counter chuckled and gave us our tickets and Kent's change.
I nodded my head, as he guided us to the snack bar.
"I love superhero movies, but I couldn't find anyone to go see them with."
"Hey, I'm surprised, I don't know that many girls who like those kinds of movies." He replied.
"Well I love them."
As we approached the counter, I glanced up at menu, debating what size drink and popcorn to get.
"Do you wanna share a popcorn?" He nudged me, redirecting my attention.
I smiled up at him and nodded my head.
"But if we do, I get to pay." I poked him in the chest.
"Um yeah, not happening." She shook his head, causing his brown curls to shake.
"Yes it is." I poked him in the chest with each word.
"It's the first date, I pay this time, and if you really want to, you can pay next time."
"Oh so there's a next time now?" I raised my brows at him.
"I sure hope so." He grabbed my hand in his and squeezed it.
His beautiful amber eyes glistened down at me. His nose was dotted with adorable freckles, and his pale pink lips curled in to a gorgeous smile.
"Me too." I smiled back.
The line moved forward and we turned our attention to teenager behind the counter.
My jaw almost dropped to floor.
The tall blonde in front of me gave me a bitter stare, and Kent a death glare.
Brogan.
Holy shit. First Brogan is seeing me on a date, and then I'll probably end up working with him.
Great. Fucking great.
"One large popcorn, a medium Diet Coke, and-" Kent turned to me to, waiting for my drink order. But Brogan interrupted him.
"A small Sprite."
I'm surprised he still remembered my favorite drink.
As he went to go get our order ready, Kent gave me a confused look.
"I guess he still remembers my favorite drink from when we were together." I shrugged.
"Wait, that's Brogan? I didn't recognize him with that outfit on."
Kent was referring to the theater uniform, and hat.
"Yeah it took me second too." I said.
I reached for my drink and the popcorn as Brogan set them on the sticky counter.
Reluctantly, I watched Kent pay for the overpriced food.
We approached the theater hallway, showing our tickets to the girl we passed.
She nodded, pointing in the direction of theater six.
As we entered the darkened theater, Kent lead the way, up to the corner, farthest away from everyone.
The previews started rolling, as we sat down.
"Just in time." I stated, reaching for some popcorn.
"You like watching the previews?" He chuckled, glancing over at me.
Although the lighting was dim, I could still see his raised brow.
"Don't make fun of me." I whined, tossing a piece of popcorn at him.
The piece stuck in his hair, he plucked it out and tossed it back at me. Bouncing off my cheek.
I giggled again, be turned my attention to the screen, as the movie was now starting.
###
At some point durning the movie I hand leaned my head on Kent's shoulder, and held his hand.
He stood up from our seats as the credits began .
"Wow," Kent mumbled as we gathered our garbage. "That was quite the movie."
"Yeah it really was." I agreed, walking out of the theater, still hand in hand.
I threw my empty cup in the trash, as we exited the building.
I was never one to leave my stuff under the seats at the movies, even though that's what you're supposed to do.
The sky was already dark out, even though it was only a little after nine.
The night was young.
Kent opened the door for me, once again, before sliding in to the driver's seat.
"So I was wondering," Kent began, as he pulled out of the parking space. "It's still pretty early, do you wanna maybe go back to my house and we can hang out some more?"
Did he just invite me to his house?
"Uh yeah, sounds fun." I giggled.
###
His room was really different from the rest of the house. No alcohol bottles scattered on the floor.
The room smelled nice too. Fresh laundry, with a hint of cologne.
The only thing to clutter the room, was a dirty shirt, half hanging out of the hamper.
Surprisingly clean for a teenage boy's room.
The walls were painted a dark blue, and were covered in movie posters and pictures of him and his friends. His bed was pushed over in the right corner, a nightstand next to it. There was also a desk, TV and dresser up against the other wall.
Kent threw himself on the bed, resting his arms behind his head.
I sat down next to him, setting my head on his chest.
"What'd ya wanna do?" He looked down at me, wrapping his arm around me.
I shrugged looking up at him.
He looked in to my eyes.
He licked his lips, slowly leaning closer to me.
Our lips brushed together, but I quickly pushed them closer.
My hands quickly moved to his hair, and his ran up and down my body.
His lips brushed from mine, down my jawline and to my neck, and collarbone, sucking at different spots.
I pulled at the hem of his shirt, and he got the hint. He pulled his lips off my skin, and yanked his shirt off. I stared in awe, for a moment at his toned chest. He had the body of a Greek god.
Reconnecting our lips, I ran a hand down his stomach.
A small groan came from the back of his throat, as I deepened the kiss again.
It was pure bliss. The whole moment was.
