23: Saved

"Ayla." My eyes widened.

She stood about ten feet away from us. Makeup and tears streaked her face. She had changed and was now wearing one of my grey Nike hoodies. Her hands in the large pocket.

"What are you guys doing?" She whispered.

She almost seemed scared. Like she had just caught us sacrificing a goat to Satan or something. But I guess finding your friends alone in a cemetery without any explanation was a little strange. Especially since she fell asleep and woke up and Caiden and I were gone.

Neither of us spoke.

"Are you gonna tell me, or just stare at me?" She was slightly annoyed now, her voice hardened along with her cute features.

"I um, we're uh, visiting my mom and brother." Caiden swallowed.

"Oh," Her cheeks heated up slightly. "I-I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Caiden replies while scratching the back of his neck.

"How, how did you know we were here?" I asked.

"Snap maps." She smirked.

"Wow you're quite the detective eh?" I chuckled trying to lighten the mood.

She cracked a small smile.

"I um, I'm gonna drive home." She jabbed her thumb behind her.

"No you're not. I'll take you. I don't want you to drive when you're upset." I told her, reaching for the keys in her hand.

I didn't want her to get hurt. Driving when you're upset is not really a good idea.

"Lyn, I'm fine to drive." She held the the keys out of my reach.

"No, I don't want you to get hurt." I jumped up to grab the keys but she stepped away.

"I'm not upset anymore. If anything you not letting me drive is what's making me upset." She laughed lightly.

I thought for a moment.

"Fine, but you gotta call me when you get home." I sigh.

"Okay, I will. You know you're such a mom though, right?" She giggled.

"Yeah, yeah. Just go before I change my mind." I rolled my eyes. She ran off to her mom's Jeep, got in and drove away.

"She'll be fine." Caiden wrapped his strong arm around my torso.

He rested his chin on my shoulder, playing with my fingers.

"I know. I just don't want her to get hurt." I looked up at him.

"Come on, let's go home." He held my hand as we walked to his car.

The whole ride back, my leg bounced up and down, anxiously.

Noticing this, Caiden rested his large hand on thigh. It send shivers through my body.

I stared at his hand, taking in the detail of his tattoos. The shading and attention to detail was  crazy.

I remember freshman year when he first started to get the tattoo done. I'm pretty sure it took him about half a year before It was done.

He had a black ring on his ring finger. Something I hadn't really noticed before.

Setting my hand on top of his, I realized how high his hands actually were. His palm was almost the size of my entire had.

Caiden parked in the driveway and be both got out.

As he held the door open for me, I felt a vibration in my pocket.

Glancing at my phone screen, I read the text.

Ayla💕😘: Just got home.
Ayla💕😘: Are you happy now mom? 🙄

I typed out a quick reply and hit send.

"What did I tell you?" Caiden let out a deep laugh as we climbed the stairs.

"I care about her and don't want anything to happen to her." I replied, stepping through my bedroom door.

"I know. It's really cute how much you care about everyone." He spoke, softly.

He closed the door, and took a step closer to me.

We both smiled at each other, our bodies pressed together. Our fingers intertwined.

He leaned over me as I stood up on my tip-toes.

Our lips pressed together, and I immediately felt the goose bumps. My knees were weak, and the butterflies flew in my stomach.

I dropped my hands from his and pushed them through his thick, soft hair. He pulled me tighter up against, like he couldn't get enough.

Every part of me of me wanted to hop on to him, and never let go. I would never, ever get used to this feeling.

His hand as moved from my hips up to my waist, pushing my shirt up a little in the process. His fingers pressed on my bare skin.

Our swollen lips separated and my breathing was heavy.

I stared in to his grey eyes. There were small flecks of gold in them, and they were slightly clouded over.

"Jump." Caiden's breath tickled my ear.

I jumped up and Caiden grabbed the back of my thighs. I wrapped my legs around his hips, and my arms around his neck.

He peppered kisses on my lips, cheeks, and neck.

Then he took an few steps back and fell down on my bed.

We both laughed, and I collapsed on top of him.

I buried my face in his grey, Hollister shirt. He smelled like laundry detergent and Axe.I grabbed on to the soft material with my long, pink, nails.

Caiden let out a deep laugh, and rubbed his hands up and down my back. He moved them down to my butt. He squeezed my butt, then smacked it.

I lifted my head off his chest and and scowled at him.

"Caiden!" I cried.

"What?" He smirked, smacking my butt again with his right hand. "You have a nice ass."

I rolled my eyes and smacked his shoulder. This only caused him to squeeze my butt again.

I sigh in defeat and set my head back down on his chest.

"I'm so freaking tired." I groaned.

"I know baby. It's been a really long day." Caiden massaged my hips.

I hummed in agreement.

I could feel my eyes lids getting heavy. I let out a small yawn.

"I just wanna take a nap." I muttered.

"I'm not stopping you." Caiden whispered, rubbing his right hand in small circles on the small of my back, while his other hand rested on the back of my head.

Slowly, I felt myself drift off.

A/N: Guys I can't believe it, but this is the second last chapter. I'm both happy and sad. But at least I can start working on my new books.
