Equilibrium
(Your point of view)
It's the end of the week, meaning I get to see Lillie again! I'm so excited. And... Lusamine too. It's also really sweet that he suggested dinner. Gladion's really kind if you think about it. I put on my floral print shirt with shorts. I left my hat off and picked up my nylon bag. I styled my (h/c) into pigtails. "Bye mum! Be back soon!" I called as I left the house. "Stay safe!" My mum replied. I called my Charziard and left for the Aether foundation. I wonder what kind of person Lusamine is now... Lillie said she used to be really sweet. Maybe she's gone back to that? I can only hope.
When I arrived at the Aether foundation, I was at a lost of what to do. Since I usually go to the lab area, that's what I did. I snooped around in different hallways, trying to find Gladion, Lillie or Lusamine. Maybe Wicke, too. "Why am I not surprised to see you digging around here?" A familiar voice asked rhetorixally. I turned around and saw Gladion, who leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. I opened my mouth to speak, but he put his index finger over it. I closed my mouth. "Because no one was there to tell you where to go. I know. Mother needed some help setting things up, so I came late. It's a rhetorical question."
A smirk appeared on my face. Since when were you the good boy? I opened my mouth to speak once more, but, as if Gladion read my mind, he said "Aren't I such a good boy for helping my mother? I was more interested in making it nice for you." He mumbled the last part. Wait... you were doing it for me? You are so confusing, I can never possibly understand what's going on in your head. Also, why are you wearing your normal clothes if you want it to be nice? To be fair, I've said many times that I like it. The red hoodie really suits him, too. Wait... is that... I noticed something metallic around Gladion's neck.
As the elevator ascended, I tried to grab hold of it. I managed to see what was on the end of the silver necklace. A sun and moon... he's still wearing the necklace I gave him. I started turning red while Gladion was already redder than a Magikarp. "What do you think you're doing?" He yelled. I averted my gaze. "You're still wearing that thing?" I whispered. "Yeah. Is that a problem?" He questioned. I shook my head and looked at him with sad eyes. "I would of thought you got rid of it... I never actually thought that you think of me as your friend. I just kept telling myself that because I wanted to spend time with you. I thought you only tagged along because I pretty much forced you to," I murmured. There were tears pricked in the corner of my eyes.
"Don't cry, (y/n)." Gladion said. His expression softened. "Of course your my friend." The tears were flowing down my face. I only thought you ever hanged out with me was because I forced you or for Lillie. The other times were just battles. I felt something wrap around me and I was jerked forward. I looked up and saw Gladion's head besides me. His green eyes looked into mine. I could get lost in them... My body started going limp, I would of fallen to the floor without Gladion. "Sh... it's alright. Cheer up (y/n). I'm your friend. I'm going to be here for you," he consoled. I hugged him back. Pretty sure I'm soaking his hoodie. "Smile. Lillie is really excited to see you. Mother is too."
I wiped away my tears and gave Gladion a large smile. "And I'm excited to seem them, too." I proclaimed. Gladion stepped back from me. "Good. By the way, mother is... slightly quirky. Just to warn you," he added. I laughed. "Who in Alola isn't quirky? We got emo king made of sugar and sweets right next to me, the Hala to make you holler, a girl who wears a ragged dress on purpose and we got malasada crazy Hau," I joked. "The craziest one is right next to me. I heard they have a legendary and multiple Ultra beasts. Pretty insane, if you ask me." Gladion chuckled.
It sits well that you really do consider me a friend. And all those times we spent together were genuine. You kept the necklace I gave you, too... A sun and moon on the end. Signifying the balance of light and dark. They can not exist without each other, one can not over power each other. They exist in harmony. Perfect equilibrium. Your the sun to my moon. The light to my dark. The happiness to my sadness. The friend of my dreams manifested. Thank you Gladion... for always being there for me.
