Adventure

(Your point of view)

I decided it would be best to visit Gladion, my "rival" as he called it. I think that was just saying "You're my friend but I won't admit to it." I approached the familiar white building of the Aether Paradise. This time around, there were less visitors. Probably due to what happened. It sucks knowing that the Aether foundation have changed their motives, but, due to the incident, there are less visitors. I sighed and took the familiar elevator upwards to where I believed Gladion would be. As expect, he was watching the pokemon play. I approached the blonde and greeted with a simple, "hi."

He spun round, his face still bore a sour expression. Guess he's doing okay, no smile shall ever cross his face. "So you came..." he murmurs. "I guess I've got to thank you again for all you've done for my family...Especially...for Lillie. I never knew she could smile like that." He paused and took a breath. "My mother's desires to reach Nihilego...and what she did in order to achieve that goal...I know she was completely out of control. But that doesn't mean I can't understand it. It was my father that started it. He was the one who first confirmed the existence of Ultra Wormholes and Ultra Beasts. But my father...He disappeared during an experiment. Trying to connect to an Ultra Wormhole. All that was left behind was a weakened Cosmog and his papers about Nihilego...Lusamine's obsession with Ultra Wormholes...and her obsession with the Ultra Beasts...I think it was all basically her way of trying to reach him again. That's what I had to believe. To get through it."

"It's not an apology or anything, but...I hope you'll take this fellow." Gladion hands me a pokeball. "And I'll give you the memory drives that let its Evolution, Silvally, change its type... This is a different Type: Null. Not the same one that I ran away with...It was kept in Secret Lab A. Its very existence was kept a secret." I put the pokeball containing Type:null in my bag along with the memory drives. "But I think I know you well enough. I think I can trust you to show it to the world. Hmph... Maybe it's time I see a bit more of the world myself...and starting with that Pokémon League, I think. I hear that Alola's got a real strong Champion." I smiled and said farewell. I started to walk off, but then I remembered why I came.

"Look at all these pokemon... so happy and peaceful. This is what the Aether foundation should be. Not what my mother desired," Gladion murmured. I leaned in next to his ear and yelled, "Alola!" His body tensed up and he jerked forward slightly. He turned towards me and rolled his eyes. Emo. "Still here?" He said. I nodded my head. "Yeah. You see a certain someone hasn't been seeing their friend, I mean 'rival', ever since all that. It's getting kind of lonely, you know." I sneered. "Hau?" Gladion muttered. "Hau is busy trying to beat his dad to become the Kahuna. And why wouldn't I want to spend time with you even if he wasn't? You're my friend," I explained.

I grabbed his wrist. "So let's go do something." I tried to pull him forward, but he wouldn't budge. I looked back and Gladion shook his head. "I'm busy," he told me firmly. I got a pokeball out of my back that contained machamp. I let it out and it picked up Gladion. In frustration, he hit it's back and demanded to be put down. After a few seconds, he sighed - knowing he can't win. "You seem really busy being the pokemon whisperer," I joked. I gave him a large smile. "And really busy imagining sitting on a cold chair as champion, doing nothing. So don't mind me if I correlate that as to not busy." I started to walk out with my machamp trailling behind me. Gladion just let his head hang over the back of machamp: struggling wouldn't exactly help against this powerful pokemon.

When we got outside, my machamp put Gladion down and I called for a charziard. I put away machamp and I noticed Gladion hasn't gone back inside yet. "I would of thought you'd go back inside," I remarked. He didn't respond, he seemed lost in thought. Personally, I like to think he wanted to spend some time out. He just didn't want to admit it. Besides, there's always Wicke and Faba; maybe not Faba, but certainly Wicke. "Any plans on where we're going?" Gladion asked dryly as he got on the charziard with me. Stop being grumpy, you know you'll have fun. Blondes always have fun, as they say. "Yeah, we're going to get some malasadas and meet up at the beach with Hau," I replied. I couldn't turn all the way round when riding the charziard, but I did notice he gave me a thumbs up. See? Your emotions aren't nullified...
