My Attempt to Finish Zelda BotW
I know, I'm super later. But I will finish this game before I go back to school. On to what went wrong with this attempt....
I got all the memories, got through all of the divine beasts, got the Master Sword, and was ready to go. I didn't do every shrine or get every Korok seed, but that's life. I've been playing this game for 6 years, I'm not going to get everything. After spending some time in the forest to finish the Korok Trials, I finally went to Hyrule Castle. I'd already been there once for a memory, so I wasn't too worried.
It went well at first. I was slaying Lizalfos, Moblins, Malice, and those little laser guys like nobody's business. I got some cool weapons and it was very fun. That was, until the Blood Moon rose once again. I was super annoyed by having to kill a Moblin again and being basically trapped in case I wanted to leave the way I came. I kept sneaking through the castle, being pelted by so many lasers outside that I could barely stand.
I eventually made it to a Lynel (I had usually avoided them before) and managed to defeat it by standing under it and slashing at it nonstop with the Master Sword. After collecting the parts, I made my way to the sanctum after being pelted by even more lasers.
As Zelda said something and Ganon emerged from his horrible cocoon, the game pad died. Did I mention I was playing the Wii U version? So while the champions gave their one liners and shot Ganon in his stupid face to half health, I struggled to find a controller I could use. After all of the cutscenes played and I had control, a message popped up telling me to plug in the game pad. No other controller would respond, so I plugged it in and tried to use it the best I could.
First phase went fine, but once the invincible orange phase happened, I gave up and let Link die. I'll try again some time, but that was harder than I thought due to things outside of my control. Fun times.
