I sat in the vehicle later that evening, my lit cigarette between my fingers, not even touched. The ashes falling on my lap as I stared out the window.

"Ye alright George?" John asked. I nodded and flicked my cig out the window.

"I'm alright. Just a little car sick I guess."

He nodded and went back to his conversation with the other three. I sighed and remembered Tracy's words earlier at school.

"I'm pregnant...and it's John's."

I promised her I wouldn't tell anyone. Not even John. I felt guilty holding such a huge secret from me mate but, it was for John's own good.

She was kicked out of her parents home once they found out their fifteen year old daughter was pregnant. With John's child. Everyone around town knew how much of a troublemaker he was. But what they didn't know, was his normal side. His soft side. Funny side. The side his mates only saw.

Tracy was living with her aunt for now since she was keeping the baby. I managed to encourage her to keep going to Donovan High. Atleast until she began showing. As for now, we have to pretend like things are normal.

"Bum as cigarette?" I asked John. He handed me the pack and whined about having to piss.

We stopped at a small service station to get some gas, pee, and grab some junk food. I scanned the small aisles with Paul.

"I better get some of these." Paul smirked, grabbing a pack of condoms. I turned red.

"W..why?"

He laughed. "For tonight George. There are a lot of nice lookin birds at Grove High. They love Rock N Roller's. Me and John wen't there a few times to visit some friends and..." he whistled and shook his head. "Those birds can't take their hands off a bloke with an instrument in their hand. Might as well be prepared."

I nodded as we paid for our things. "Paul I..I've never..well..."

He raised his eyebrows. "Seriously!? Never!?"

"I just never gotten around to it I guess.."

"Well." He grabbed a bag and headed to the door. "Tonight, that'll definitly change."
