Splashesriver turned and raced out, she searched the whole camp, but was unable to find Hummingbirdkit. Splashesriver's ears pricked up, a tiny mewing came from behind the nursery, she run to the mewing, and there was Hummingbirdkit, large gashes crisscrossed across her body. Splashesriver let out a yowl of terror and sadness.

Sagewhisper picked Hummingbirdkit up and brought her to the medicine cat den, where Maplepaw was laying out herbs.
