No but in all seriousness, parents (and any other authority figures) say and do things that are extremely annoying. I love my parents more than it is physically possible to say, but we don't always see eye to eye. Here are 5 very annoying things adults have a tendency of saying:

1) "There are starving children in Africa who haven't eaten for days, so stop picking at your food"

Look, I know that there are many people who only eat one meal a week, but me finishing my food will not help aforementioned children. If you want to eat it, fine by me, but I'm just not hungry. In the meantime, how about I go and donate to a charity helping these starving children.

2) "Don't talk back"

You mean do not protest in any way or try to explain my point before you punish me? K.

3) "Clean your room"

(This is usually my mum, by the way)
A), Unless you sleep in my bed and use my things, I do not know why the state of my room is a bother to you, the door is almost always shut anyway. And
B), have you taken a good look at your room recently?

4) "Just because your hormones are acting up, doesn't mean you can have an attitude with me"

Just because you can't remember teenagerhood, doesn't mean you can't sympathize with me. And you would be moody too if your face was a zit farm.

5) "When I was your age, I was always outside and never on my phone."

When you were my age, phones didn't exist and the kidnap levels in England were much lower.
