Lily 3rd person POV

It was finally Christmas eve (A.N. heh sorry my mental health is 💫rocky💫) and Lily, Marlene, Mary, Dorcas, Alice, Tonks and Tonks' friend Sinead were discussing their  dresses and suits for the ball that evening.

(These took me over 2 hours to make please like them)

Marlene got the colour magenta, which Lily knew Sirius had aswell though. James wouldn't tell Lily his colour and that infuriated the small red head. She didnt like surprises. She hoped with all her heart that she and James would go to the ball. She hated him? She likes him? She really liked him? This was all new to Lily.  "No" she said out loud scaring the others from their comfortable silence.

"What do ye mean 'no'?" asked Marlene in her scottish accent. "I mean no I dont have a crush on James Potter. He is an arrogant toe-rag and an insolent arse-hole who I only want to be friends with" she huffed. They stared at her before alice spoke up from under the snow covered window. "whatever you say Lily" she said with a giggle. Marlene went back to admire her outfit. It was a magenta ball gown. She had gold heels and purple earings. Her mask was a deep purple colour that she though didnt match the dress at all but the other colours thought it was cool. She had her hair up in an elegant twist. She was also wearing the small flowers Alice conjured.

"Ay, I  hate the mask. Doesnt even focking go with me dress!" She exclaimed, making Tonks jump. "I really like yours" Alice said as she started to put on her dress. It was a bright yellow flowy dress. Her hair was done in loose curls (courtesy of Lily). She knew Frank was her date and she was over the moon. Although, her shoes were very uncomfortable!

Tonks' dress matched Remus' suit! James told Lily this while they were doing their rounds of the castle. Albeit, it was bad timing as 3 ravenclaw girls shot spells at them but as the saying goes "you read a book your whole life your spells are as weak as a skunks arse". Or at least that's what James said was a saying...

Anywho, Tonks dress was a deep red colour with a rose off the shoulder look. She turned her hair a dark brown colour and her high heels were awesome.

Dorcas and Mary originally were not paired together but they sent over 500 letters to Dumbledore. Yes it was basically bullying, but yes it did work.

Their colour is periwinkle blue. Lily thought they were the most beautiful couple she was going to see tonight. Dorcas dress was a mermaid style dress that had a train and was sparkling while Mary decided to change hers into a suit.

Sinead is Peter's date. She is quite tall at 5ft 7 and Sinead Is on of the kindest people you would know. She has sharp cheek bones and strong features. Her hair is light brown and her eyes are a deep blue ocean colour. Sinead is a 6th year Hufflepuff. Her dress perfectly suits her and makes her blue eyes even darker. She is beautiful and the dress really shows off her curves.

Lastly was Lily herself. She had her hair in a loose messy bun and wore the tiara that came with the dress. (Imagine this dress with a diamond belt in the middle)
She also wore a Celtic belt ring with an emerald in the middle that matched her tiara.

There was one thing about her outfit that Lily did not like and it was the fact that the dress showed off the scar she had that trailed from her left shoulder though the valley of her breasts. It was magically inflicted from snape so it couldn't be covered up. The scar was ugly in Lily's eyes and it was a memory she just wanted to forget.

At half 7 they were told to show up at the great hall. The hall had been decorated from head to toe in Christmas decorations. There was fairies fluttering above Lily's head. It was Beautiful. There were snowflake lights and soft music. All the ladies lined up on one side of the hall while the men on the other. The non-binary pals filtered around, just vibing.

"Students of Hogwarts, I welcome you to the Christmas ball. Now find your partners and begin the dance"

Amos walked over to Lily his head held high. "Good evening my lady" he kissed her hand and led her to the dance floor. 'Welp it ain't James but it ain't bad' Lily thought to herself as the handsome stranger led her to the dance floor. "Wow might I say that you look.." he lead off and Lily blushed. "...almost as good as me. Keep in mind the word almost" "oH?".
"So tell me about yourself" Lily asked trying to kinda change the topic. "Well there is too much to tell you but here I go. Well I was born on the 26th of November..... and then I won the most handsome Wizard award..... then it was my 8th birthday and I got a pony from my aunt marie....." and so it continued for the next 45 minutes. "Ha ha yes I'm going to talk to my friend" she said trying excused herself "aww but I'm only at age 13 where I won my 18th academic award at the ministry-" "yeah no good bye". "MY NAME IS AMOS" "MINES LILY YOU NARCISSISTIC PRAT". And off she went to find her friends.

Marlene was dancing with Sirius who was pulling off his frilly robes somehow. "Sup ladies" she spoke. "Hey Lily-flower how did it go" Sirius asked while Marlene nodded along. "Amos Diggory is the most self involved twat I've ever met." "I think you look lovely Lily" Sirius said and she hugged him. "Ay off me boyfriend pretty" Marls laughed. She knew their relationship was very much like siblings. "Come on Lass we'll go see where the rest are" and so the two girls and Sirius went to find the other marauders. They first found Remus who was snogging the face off  Tonks. Sirius coughed to break them apart but it had no effect on them so they left the two in their love trance to go find Mary and Dorcas. "Sup females". "Sup Marls, Lily, male Marlene". "Hey!" "Shut up Sirius. We're gonna find the others because my date is a flop and I'm bored" Lily said while dragging Dorcas along with Mary to find Alice, Peter and James. Sinead looked kind of awkward around peter who was just swaying to the music. She jumped at the chance to talk to the other girls the minute she saw them. "This is really akward. Nothing wrong with Pettigrew it's just not working" she whispered to them. They then found Alice and Frank (who didnt recognise anyone). "TO PRONGSY TO PRONGSy AWAY WE GO" and we can all assume who screamed that. Lily rolled her eyes as they split up to find James until Her arm was grabbed and she was yanked out the door.

(Tw this is an attempted sexual assult if you are no comfortable I suggest you skip it please I dont want anyone being uncomfortable. It is not detailed. )

She tried to scream but her mouth was then covered. Low and behold there was a group of Slytherins including Crabbe, Goyle, Malfoy and of course Snape. "Hello little mudblood you look ravishing" Malfoy spoke as he turned her around so she was facing them. All Lily could feel was fear. "Bet she would look so much better without all these clothes dont you think?" He said as he took off her masquerade mask. Lily tried to reach for her wand but her arms were trapped by Goyle who was much larger than her.
She was pushed against a wall and Crabbe rubbed his hand up her leg. She was frozen still. She remembered from her safety classes that if this happens to fight and keep fighting. But she was frozen. She couldnt even blink or breath. His hands traveled closer and closer as Snape decided to speak up. "My turn" he came over to Lily and pushed her down. She felt blood on the back of her head where it hit the wall. "I love you Lily" he whispered as he attached his mouth to hers. He traced his hand along the scar and touched the inside of Lily's dress. She felt sick. She kicked at him. "Ooooh she's feisty I like that" Snape said pushing his lips back against hers. "I do believe her friends will start looking for her. We can continue another time. Dont tell anyone Mudblood. We know where your lovely parents live.we always have people looking at their house. We can send people of you say a word. Got that?"  Malfoy provoked. Lily stood herself up shaking and disturbed. She nodded, put her mask on and wiped the tears from her face "good girl now go to the party and have fun" he spit in her ear.

She walked into he great hall and found her friends all looking worried. She put on her best fake smile and went over to them. "Sorry I had to use the loo". "Thank goodness your ok. You've been gone for over 15 minutes. We found James and he was having about the same night as you. His date was the Laura girl. Wouldnt stop threatening him that if he didnt go out with her she would tell every one that he likes you but I think we've all come to that realisation." Mary rolled her eyes and Sinead giggled. Remus and Sirius looked at their friend and 'sister'. They could see straight though her exterior. She looked scared and paranoid that someone was watching her. They looked at eachother and then looked at their other friends. The only other one looking at them was Alice and they each nodded. They would figure out what happened.

(An. I swear this was meant to be happy but then my mentality shifted and I kind of said hey let's make it really scary. I'm looking into real world issues and I dont mean to scare people but where I'm from 1 in 5 girls under the age of 18 get sexually abused or assaulted. I got cat called at and followed while trying to go on a walk with my 7 year old neighbours. I dont want to be scared leaving my house and things need to change.
