Today it is for children

to recognise their human rights,

give access to health services,

make sure they don't fear the night.

A right to education,

and let their voices resonate, 

a right to love and affection

and not fill their minds with hate.

Universal Children's Day was first declared by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1954, their idea was to encourage children of all different creeds, religion and race to play together, to appreciate their differences and have fun. This day is also to make governments realise that more needs to be done for the welfare of children in our world. The children of our world are not born with hate, so why teach them.
